I used that mind body soul expression today myself as the hikes I've been mentioning lately are with groups of people whose lives are affected by mental health issues and disorders and we're all benefitting from it
Hats off to them for getting the motivation to get out there and put one foot in front of the other

I think it's widely recognised now that walking is beneficial for those suffering from depression, even more so if there's some sun on the skin
The people I walk with have other mental health disorders (which of course often contributes to depression, and general malaise) and medication is part of their lives in order to keep them functioning and reduce hospitalisations.
This walking program can only be beneficial to them, it's fledgling right now but as the weeks pass more are joining in which is just amazing
