i regularly watch MASH, in Vietnam on number occasions i visited the NZ armed forces medical team who patched up Vietnamese civilians including injured VC, myself i assisted a nz medic cut a ladies arm off and assisted medic inspect and dress young healthy Vietnamese guys nice clean bullet hole in the palm of his hand, The Vietnamese told us he was hand hoeing his rice paddy and the hoe hit bullet that went through his hand...VC they patched up the VC so our troops wouldn't run out of civilians or win the hearts and minds while the GI's metal detected the road outside

I hope they were well rewarded when they arrived home .
