Don't pick dandelions or you will wet the bed.
Don't pick that curly looking foliage or crocodiles will appear under your bed.

I was only half joking I truly never saw any diet-food here until I was an adult. I don't think it hit here until after other western countries.

I believed that if you are not asleep, you would notice (sense somehow) how the date changes. So I tried to keep awake... Never managed through :(

Although It's surprising that after all these years, there hasn't been a massive increase in dietary foods and varieties over the fat and sugar laden choices we have presently ... maybe it's in the manufacturers/stores interests not to do so of course

On Christmas eve, our family used to have a tradition of taking off our pillow cases and placing them at the bottom of our bed for Santa to fill on his arrival later on in the night. Anyway as an 8 or 9 year old, i had the cunning idea of comparing all my siblings pillow cases to my own to see which was the largest and then swapping over if necessary in the expectation of getting more pressies stuffed in ...
