About this poem:
damn the careless ness of people with any type of open flames that causes such horific events.
Quite the contrast. Started out as a nice day and progressed to tradgedy. People need to treat fire with great respect. I once burnt down my father's woodshed when a youth and it taught me how insidious fire can be. Thanks for the reminder Kickit.

I was thinking, what a beautiful picture you were painting with words, till the end.
Good poem, could be printed out for heath and safety.
this kinda relates to my dad when he was a boy in high school he was pulled out of school and was told that his house burned down that his dad didn't make it out well he did but then he went back into the house never made it back out the 2nd time. at that time he had 3yr old brother that played in stove caught the place on fire. there were 12 bro and sis all together. non of the children died in it but the state took 9 of the kids and mother was able to keep the 3 oldest my dad was one of the 3
thank you odette this just hits close to home as stated above. kickit.

excellent motion picture created by words alone. Sad Clarity.
Hi Niah. as long as there is respect for fire there is no need to fear it i know for my mom is the same way she respects fire from fear she has. kickit..
Hi Yankee but isn't that how life is one minute life is going good then just the next minute the whole world is turned upside down. that is the whole purpose of me writting it this way cause it goes with real life. thanks for your comment. kickit
i just think that is how real life is everything good the next second disaster hits. a person just never knows when or how somethen that will turn. just have to prevent the obvious like a simple candle just seems so harmless. thanks for your comment. kickit.
thank you swade i appreciate your words of dearment. over the years i tried to locate my dad's siblings for the 3 yr old brother that caused the fire all tho you can't put blame on him but i was able to locate him just lived 10 minutes from us they were able to reunite all tho it just lasted one visit and one favor and never again did they talk or meet. i found another brother about an hour drive from here found a sister in a different state. my dad and i tho never really were on good terms but i still have the most respect for him. he was a hard man but respect he deserved. the truck truck i drive don't have the string above to reach up sound that horn volvo trucks have the air horn on the steering wheel. but can never get tired of blowing that horn for a little kid i get a kick out of it as much as they do. in fact i get alot of adults that do the same still. in fact few years back i'll never forget a van full of chinesse people were doing the yanking the arm motion. of course how can i resist when i blew that horn they all erupted in applause and laughter. it is so much entertaining. i even had a baby i would say no older then 6months old waving its arm i think with little help from the parent but it is so much fun. i even had them do the arm yank going through a residential town after midnight and of course yes i have to say i did. i do have to say love it. kickit.
