EVERY POET'S PLIGHT!

To be able to paint with words,
Or write, the speed of light,
To describe the beautiful birth of a star,
In the velvet sky, at night,
To give an honest account,
Of how an eagle soars gracefully in flight,
To know what really is,
The gift of second sight,
And…
To explain love and death but truly,
In a nutshell, every poets plight.

good write Andrew, no matter how far we can go we never seem to find that one poem where we could lay back and say, I need write no more for that i cannot surpass, but in a way I suppose that is good

You've mastered this craft, but won't admit it, Andrew, and I understand why: poets are never contented, which is natural, cause they strive for more, but their efforts are worthwhile: just imagine 'The beautiful birth of a star, In the velvet sky...' - I wish I could find imagery matching this one!

How true, but there's this greatness in us to try to fathom mysteries, there is an infinite in us which we cannot bury under the finite. Nice write.
