Some say love is just a feeling
and that on times is true

Some say love is words one echoes
back and forth to you

Some say love is romance
with flowers to impress

But while love can be like this
there is another side
where actions speak the louder
as does the pounding tide

Love gives to one willingly
asks nothing in return
looks to diffuse and argument
when tempers start to burn

Love shows lots of kindness
with gentleness to her
holds her very tenderly
caressing soft her hair

Love will not make her do
something before her time
values her with respect
not trick you with a line

Love will not use emotions
nor manipulate your mind
but seeks your true contentment
and happy when it finds

This love is so much sweeter
for its better first to give
and in that garden soil of life
the life begins to live.
