He set sail for the royal port, Upon Caribbean seas... Her comely face his attention caught And the sails filled with breeze, No pirate was he, But a gentleman captain In search of his destiny... A sickled moon prepared to thrust Through an

I've often wondered what it feels like to be a poet. Does any one remember? Does it make any difference? The translation is not literal; I want to capture the romantic sensibility of the poet's feelings of insignificance and the futility of gaining acknowledgment by the world. This particular poem came from someone who became famous only after his death. Consider whether Mihai Eminescu's pessimism is truly warranted in view of how he is highly regarded by posterity.
Little symbols funny shapes crafted and moved also by a pen or fingers on thee keyboard. The things we write. Must admit somethings wrote were misunderstood. Well how do some have ease and natural talent. Some just got it,some havent. E

It is what it is and it seems to become greater as the clock ticks. I know many of you who read this reach down and do find you have the courage to step out, yet you can't, be it for fear of? Am I wrong, tell me so please.
A dream i have had over the past 3 months. I feel it is an answer to my prayers about my path GOD has for me.
Written in April, many years ago.
I get lost sometimes...
Gives me a headache just thinking about it...
It's a bit of wordplay again.
You really never know what will happen next. Whatever the problems we have with friends and family, deep down, we love them.
I wrote this poem as an expression of how I one day hope to feel about that perfect woman.
Hi everyone.....Thought it was about time I came back to write a bit....just wish that this weeks circumstances had been different....Lest we forget though, 99.9% of religous followers are gentle and peace loving and the same percentage of political followers will argue things in a reasoned way. Unfortunately there will always be a very small minority that feel that they have to resort to violence to get their point or belief across.....Andrew...xxx
It's amazing that I've been so inspired to write poetry lately when I'm in such a hurry to get artwork done lol But have been watching Jane Austen movies lately... Compared to how screwed up love was back then, when all that mattered in the most part, was a man or woman's fortune... While today is the way they look, and how skinny they've become, or how emptily famous. We haven't changed, not really. I'd love if all went back before fame, fortune and air brushed playboy models made impressions on our world wide cultures... I'd like to go back there, when a man would look at a woman and simply love. Not because she had money or could fit into a size 2, but because she was simply...herself. And vice versa...so I've decided not to let myself accept anything less.
Inside a knowledge turning cogs on this wheel born from the darkness a heart rules supreme fear in one wish looking towards tunnel light love All that will remain when all turns to dust threads of life dance kneeling weak alone humble and meek fi
Although this poem can be applied to MANY situations and conditions in life, it was written for a spina bifida awareness group at the request of my aunt.

You Feel It Too Strike Where It May Nothing We Can Do
Liam gets 100 percent credit for this. He is so creative, and contributed most to this short effort. Thank you Liam for this highly enjoyable collaboration.
This poem was inspired by those who fear love not for what it brought but rather what it left them with.

Sometimes a thought or emotion which only last a few minutes can prompt an action with permanent results. Guilt, loneliness, sorrow, fear, hate, anger... These can push us down a path we would otherwise never follow.
WE ask, Does Love have any particular direction? We do not know, and so we want to find out. What we do know is that, Desires, Lusts or Cravings Have a direction. For there is an Object that be the Cause. And there is a strife to achieve. The Cau
leaf of hearts and loves the silver ribbon of the moon wound like a river through the story of my days her face but a waning sliver on the tide reflecting a different side of these dreams a pebble cast by no mortal hand
This was written for those who know the true meaning of love, those who use their hands for holding instead of hitting and those whose loyalty is so great that there is no substitute for their significant other.
There lies a portal deep beneath the silent sands of time, an entrance to life's journeys with some reason, little rhyme. It reappears and disappears, it waxes and it wanes. It contemplates and correlates the common and insane. Some seconds
I wrote this little song many years ago, it's always been a favorite.
Wrote this song about someone I know, sort of made it up as I wrote. I like the story line.
I joined a songwriters group once, the first night we were given a short assignment to write a song including the lines "cold dark night" and "pale crescent moon". We were supposed to write one verse, but I wrote this out on the spot. Didn't even know I could do that.
What if our soulmate is far away?
My heart is tearing apart as i cry out in pain begging for some relief. I did not know i would end up here at this moment or time in my life. I want only to provide for you. I do not want you to feel my pain. I drop to my knees crying out
Yesterday night,I sketch the line between love & hate, As I teach in algebra in college days.. Each of them located at a boundless end. Love is a maze, a unfathomable line. If love is inauspiciously intersected by hate And in fact, requires no m
