Silence must be heard

Silence must be heard

I feel sad, it was all about my Father who has cancer. Tonight He called me, saying He was missing me, so I wrote this poem. I remembered, when He accompanied me at the agency, we walked so far until almost dawn, and have coffee at Shangri-la Starbucks. Every time I didn't know the place, He used to go with me. Afterwards, we will eat in a cozy restaurant, and then coffee. But now, all I can do is simply reminiscing the past when He can still walk.

Falluja Remembered

Falluja Remembered.

Doubtless I shall court disapproval such lines that focus upon Political rhetoric, founded on the propaganda of manipulated untruths, ignoring international convention and the voice of the people. It is a sad fact that both the UK and the USA are the most disliked nations on this planet of ours, I wonder why?

A New Poet

I have noticed that many poets get no comments at all. in most sites there are dedicated greeters that welcome new poets Please remember that you were once new and encourage others. As for the new poet you too should comment on others By doing so you will make new friends and be encouraged And yes even inspired by their works so breathe a little life into this site all it needs is some care and respect for others.

I wrote this having just been to the funeral of a young man. He was in first year of college, working a part-time job during mid-term, and was killed in an accident there. The church was filled to capacity, but it was four young men near the coffin caught my eye, in their silent anguish.
