Grandma

The memories will never fade away
Nor will the unending laughter.
You’re up there with Granddad because
Heaven’s angels needed your smile
Words can never really express a person
Especially one that was as unique as you were
The unsettled feeling of your departure has left me;
Confused, sad, lonely and sore
You have found a place even more magical than the last
I hope your journey was a safe one and that you are up there
on that cloud with a Betty Neels book and a glass of baileys,
counting and kissing all the cats you lost.
I know deep down that I will see you again no matter what happens for me when my time here on earth is up, you will be there arms outstretched ready to hug me tight once more.
I love you Grandma
Rest in peace forevermore

Angel Wings

Brighten light shining through
Touch of the warming sun,
I feel upon my pale face,

All I hear are whispering voice's
sobbing of the one's I love,
All I see is the color white.

Walking upon the foggy path,
large golden gates stand so bold and bright
With a man stnding with a smile,

Falling to my knees
Hands together
I pray upon my Angel wings.

Watching over them
I float upon a cloud
Smiling down to them all

Swinging my feet
Looking out
Here comes more Angels to be

Falling to my knees
Hands together
I pray upon my Angel wings.

Hearing the harp at play
I dance with my bare feet
To the sound Of welcome home melody

Falling to my knees
Hands together
I pray upon my Angel wings.

Hold your loved one tight tonight
For Tomorrow maybe their time
Love them hard love them long

Falling to my knees
Hands together
I pray upon my Angel wings.

Blindfold

I wanted love
she desired gold,
love is priceless
gold is cold...

She was blind...

Her gold
cannot see
touch or feel
powerless to cheer..

Gold has no soul..

Perhaps I saw
so desperately,
picture of her
I wanted to see...

A falling star...

I gave true
poetry of feelings,
sunlight on morning dew,
she turned out to be

A horrible love poem...

The Funeral

Emails and cards some heaven sent
Friends and family saying sad goodbyes
Tears of Relatives with wailfull laments
Eulogy and apathy amongst teary eyes
Flowers and a casket in black limousine
Hands as if healing but obviously to late
Speeches of approval and kind words define
Lowering Casket and soil confiscates
Infinite fate of spirit wanting future's sign
Into a small dark dungeon seeming so cruel
A tombstone of Granite promoting Timeline
The earth recycles and you become molecule

God sent an angel

God sent an angel
Long before i was born
God decided
That angel would be a father
He made him real tall
He made him strong
He made him a child at heart
He made him always cheerful
He gave him a sweet tooth
He showed him the woman
He would love forever
They had children
The angel loved them
More then anything
God brought his angel home
The wife
The children
The parents
The sister
The aunts
The uncles
The cousins
Shall always remember
God sent an angel
Then he brought him home

Hope

Stumbling through life with troubled soul ...
heavy hearted
Trying to grasp the softly flickering flame
Before all that's left
of this tallow of hope ...
is the smoldering ember
of a flame left to die.

About this poem:
I wrote this many years ago after seeing a dear friend struggling with the direction his life was heading ... he had lost all sense of being and had become suicidal ... he had given up on life ... he had given up on himself ... eventually the situation became too much for him to cope with and one evening he after a evening with his closests friends ... he took his life ... I never want anyone to experience that kind of despair ... We must never forget that there is always HOPE ... without it we cease to exist ... This is for you Mark my dear friend ... I wish things could have been different

Silent Plea

Death has overcome me
I did it to myself
I sent out a silent plea
But no one came to help
Nobody even had a clue
That's why I used the knife
It's because of what I went through
That's why I took my own life

About this poem:
It's such a sad, sad thing when people decide to give up everything that is good in their lives because of something terrible that happened to them.

The Final Meeting Place of a Drunk Drive

Hi mom, what's up dad
I finally made it here
This trip will be brief
For I've had quite a year

Last thing I remember is..
Flipping in the air
And I caught a glimpse of the people I hit
The girl playing in her booster chair

I remember the lady too
She'll be here soon
Her trip is longer than mine
And her daugter's too

I'm sorry I let you down ma
I'm so, so sorry dad
But when y'all left out of my life
I turned from good to bad

I dropped out of college
And left a prominent career
Secretly my successful future
Soon became my fear

I loved to party hard
And loved loved to party long
I'd get drunk with all of my friends
And make up crazy songs

I knew I made a grave mistake
My said just call a cab
As I ripped the keys from my pocket
I thought of the time I had

I watched as my front end gave
I was crushed into a pulp
That other place is calling now
I love y'all but I got to go

You're Not With Me

You're Not With Me

Today I took a walk along the
paths we used to take
Tonight loving thoughts of you
will keep me wide awake

I go into our silent room
thinking you'll be there
The bed is made, the room is dark
my sadness I can't bear

Why did God take you away
to leave me all alone
Loving you and missing you
chills me to the bone
