The Widows Touch
Author: GM Sexton
Charms and talismans adorn your dress,
I stare at the candles and pass thru the mirror,
always at your behest.
Peacocks and hen on the porch and yard abound...
Picking, chanting and sometimes dancing,
their chatter, movements mundane,
and yet so inherently.... profound.
To whom do I declare myself?
A huntress?
A maiden, too close to the sea?
...is it my right to decline?
Me thinks, "Perhaps another widow, deceptive and beautiful,
striking her webs design."
Your name suits you.... Roma,
my soul and countenance despite,
to my heart you sprang and tarried...
Memories now shadows of the darkest night.
Half closed...clearly torn...
the gate shudders in the wafting breeze,
warm but shattered...too cold to touch,
I ponder my fate born of this queer and patent design,
and scarred by folly and a proclivity to please.

One day my life will change for the better,
thinking and dreaming of times gone by,
wanting so very much to get another letter,
looking into your eyes and letting out a sigh,
As one gets older you start to reminisce,
wondering if you have fulfilled your hearts desire,
that soft tenderness of yours I do so miss,
we had for such a short time so much fire,
Spring has now broken through,
and the warmth of the sun tingles my skin,
you could have been here with me too,
love at times can be so fragile and thin,
Sun breaks through clouds like a streamer,
I hope your safe and looking well,
and I sit here still being that day dreamer,
maybe we will meet again one day, who can tell.

About this poem:
We all sit and think of those whom we felt great affection and love.
Been a little while since I penned anything so my thoughts are reflected here.

Why are you crying little girl?
Life has proven its suffer?
Why are you crying little girl?
Now you know that love is not a pearl?
Dry up your tears now,
For he never know how you've hurt
For he never look back what he'd burnt out
For he never see your worth
I raise my pray to my God,
You, yes You my Lord....
Why......
And why......

Isn't there we ever build a hope & dream ?
That we wanna reach it together
Isn't there something that we wanna keep it
As a good memory
It always a sweet & nice moment
A moment that touch my heart
Until it just as a memory
Will we reach our hope & dream?

Why did you stop her
In the middle of her say
Her heart is still heavy
That pain needs a way.
Yet you focus on words you choose not to hear
It's not about you, it's a loss that was dear.
In your love there's a friendship that needs to be seen
There'll be times when she talks, it's not to be mean.
I've seen it before, his thumbs in the belt
If you never been there, you can't know how it felt
Those cards they were given, hand has been dealt.
So take out your thumbs and open your arms
Listen to her words as you kiss away her tears
It's time to be holding, holding her close
She's there at your side, expressing the most!

take one good look
open your eyes
you will see
judged outside
this heart
unless one of you
has trekked
the paths
that i have taken
experiencing my feelings
of a deep loss
then walk
a few miles
in these old
tattered shoes
worn from solitude
its no ones place
to cast their judgement
upon this heart
i am
the only soul
who know this anguish
suffering and screaming pain
scathing in the woes
of ridicule
i extend these hands
in loving kindness
with friendship
behold me
a grief stricken frame
tears flooding
burning angel drops
now most sincerely
pray for me
in this awful hurt
finding love
inside your hearts
as i am inside hell
at the moment
dealing with emotions
ghosts of ugliness
let them be judged

blossoming inside
the mind
petals of love
your are endless
pleasure seeking
to find
a faraway dream
heavenly adoring
such tender soft
cotton feelings
emotions fuse sparkle
upon a star
together wishing
on her trail
thoughts dusting
beautiful rocks
magic in you
spinning spells
sitting upon
golden sands
seagulls crying out
enchanting beauty echoes
sailing out over
a dark greeny blue
coloured sea
tasting salted water
tranquility waves inside
crashing white purity
holding me against
the deepest rocks
looking towards
the mountains
staring of into space
a lonely sadness
life is
to short
i begin smiling
feelings freshly
in a cool spring breeze
my love
soft gentle
sweet thoughts
all about you honey
in tenderness sweetie
if i could sail
magically across
many oceans
would you welcome
me dearest love
with open arms darling
was all this a joke
have i been living
in a fantasy land
was i part of a game
enchanting reality
this soul speaks
i was coming to you
oh my darling love
trying to open
your heart
with this key
jamming a little
on the lock
stepping into forever
what an amazing dream
with you love
yet to unfold

You who demolish me, you whom I love,
be near me. Remain near me when evening,
drunk on the blood of skies,
becomes night, in the other
a sword sheathed in the diamond of stars.
Be near me when night laments or sings,
or when it begins to dance,
its stell-blue anklets ringing with grief.
Be here when longings, long submerged
in the heart’s waters, resurface
and everyone begins to look:
Where is the assasin? In whose sleeve
is hidden the redeeming knife?
And when wine, as it is poured, is the sobbing
of children whom nothing will console–
when nothing holds,
when nothing is:
at that dark hour when night mourns,
be near me, my destroyer, my lover me,
be near me.

I am blue like an ocean, blue like the sky,
blue as the sapphire, you surely know why,
but I must know, what has made your heart turn cold,
You saw through me, your eyes looked deep into my soul,
and you were it for me, indeed the one thing,
you were queen of my heart and to me everything.
Does it matter to you that inside I am dying?
For so long I would not see the truth I was blind.
But now I see it, it has all become clear,
That you no longer care and your love is not here,
This is the reason for the change in my mood,
it's cuz when I think of you I am blue.

I painted a picture of your face
With some beautiful flowers but the skies were gray
Behind you maybe a sun that will never glow
On a withering tree with no leaves to blow
Hanging from a branch is an old tire swing
And a heart shaped carving for you and me
It says something about how we'd last 4-ever
But your heavenly smile I can not remember
Just a shadow that lacks and strays far behind
As I try to capture your love with a heart thats blind
So I painted a cloud just to hide your face
As I wondered how does that color taste
