The Breakup

Embedded image from another site

So lonely in this place
If you were with me now
My fingers would softly trace
The lines upon your face
And without further adieu
I would reach to touch you
Stirring soft feelings anew

What is it about being lonely
That makes me yearn for you only
It’s a reckless panacea of fantasies
Provoked by lying naked on my bed
While thoughts of you pound in my head
I can never make you love me
That truth is plain to see

Demanding from me is a mistake
It only makes my heart ache
And when push comes to shove
Sends me seeking my true love
I’ll find what I am looking for
Someone who let's love soar

You just use me up
Like a throw away cup
I’m finally done this time
Not returning to the crime
You’re like a thief in the night
Not doing what is right
You love taking what I freely give
As a taker that is how you live

What is your heart for?
Is your spirit rich or poor?
I need to stop washing up on shore
Focus on seeking real true amour
Beyond this reality and more

When you leave again you should know
This isn’t a revolving door anymore
I have to let you go right now
I just wish I knew how
To finally start the learning
And stop this incessant yearning
This I promise myself to do
Without you

About this poem:
Self explanatory Sunday. Can someone get a message to the 16 year old pothead running this ride to stop and let me off! I am still going to try to laugh! I probably should remove my write on "euphoria" because that feeling was so short lived and comprised to hell and back it's pure pitiful! Just put up with me, I'm harmless, really.

Predator

My darling, wolf in sheep's clothing
If only I had known
That a face so magnificent
Housed a heart of stone

I should've noticed the venom in your kiss
But I was foolishly lost in love, in all it's bliss
When I finally did realize, it was already too late
You already had my soul
You had utter control

I remember your malicious gaze
Marring your pretty face
As you told me "Well, you weren't even worth the chase."
And I remember my heart silently shattering into millions of shards
Not once had I ever thought that this would be in my cards

I remember your words distinctly: "I was the predator and you were the prey"
It plays over and over again in my head like a film reel
Yet in all this hurt, I formed a heart of titanium and steel

My darling, wolf in sheep's clothing
You will never see me cry
The truth is, when push turned to shove, I got over you in the blink of an eye
So keep claiming to be this wonderful "predator"
In the end, I am still going to be The Discreditor

The Long winding road

Somewhere down this winding road
that leads to neither you nor I
is a fork in the road.

Should you one day look for me
search no further than the end
of that curve in the path
where we met
and loved
and clung
to each other through
those days of warm sun and laughter

Was it only yesterday
you took my hand and gently
placed it upon your heart
and spoke of eternal Love
a kiss planted on my forehead
to build a dream on....

I remember the voice,
the smell of your skin,
the longing in your eyes...
the promise of us
yet to begin.

Though Time has come between us
through the years
Never shall regret
enter this faithful heart
and Love, feeling pangs
of desolation and despair
rests his weary head
to breathe
one last gasp
of hope.

Waves

so smooth and
calm your waves

crystalline and
deep

sailing me splendidly
to otherworlds

oceans and
infinities
through persephone's realm

where I hear hades smile
libran mass a feather to your soul

I know she will let you enter
without a doubt
the way you enter me

so smooth

"the fiercest calm..."

your waves and
demeter cries

Without You

Without You, How Did I Live Like This?
How Did I Live Without You?
Without You, How Did I Live Like This?
How Did I Live Without You?
With Your Memories,My Nights Passed – 2
The Moonlight Talks To Me About You
My Nights Are Lonely With Out You
My Days Aren’t Like Days
Lonely Body, Lonely Soul, My Eyes Stay Wet
Come By Me Now
I Don’t Want To Live Without You Without You, How Did I Live Like This?
How Did I Live Without You?
Without You, How Did I Live Like This?
How Did I Live Without You?
Since When Are My Eyes Layed In Your Path?
Atleast Let Me Meet You Somewhere Accidently
I Can’t Forget Your Words
My Eyes Are Wet Every Second
Why Should I Breath? Why Should I Live?
Living Feels Bad
Why Did You Become Unfaithful, Tell Me The Reason
Without You, How Did I Live Like This?
How Did I Live Without You…
Without You, How Did I Live Like This?
How Did I Live Without You…

Timeless

The quiet air of despair lingers on,
forgotten memories show their face,
the love I had held, so long gone,
passions arose and died without trace,

This time last year my heart was ablaze,
Green trees turning to Autumns brown,
I now realise for you it was a passing phase,
lips no longer smiling but carrying a frown,

Family and friends know am not the same,
becoming the quiet and silent recluse,
loving someone for real is never a game,
being disheartened and broken is not an excuse,

Silent promises to self to ride out the storm,
Putting life into this saddened figure,
timeless emotions leaves one forlorn,
so many times I wanted to pull that trigger,

A timeless lesson learned of loves chase,
sceptical and disillusioned of a future meet,
love slowly and never in haste,
but am still here and standing on my own two feet.

About this poem:
Does one really ever get over the person we felt was the very soul of you. Since the event of being told goodbye, have tried a couple of dates locally without success. Maybe time has now told me I was just that little too late. Fear not am just reminscing but my feelings always show in my words, been a while since I penned anything alas it is sadness filled.

Frozen

When I see you my whole world freezes I am stuck and can no longer move.
The ice wall that I am behind cracks as our eyes meet.
As you speak try speaking to me I respond in silence, only to find that the wall has gotten thicker.
As you walk away till your just a mirage in the distance, the icy wall slowly melts.
I stand there in silence wishing that the cold frosty wall was still infront of me so I could see your shimmering eyes one last time.

WANTED~lost poet

We used to meet
on this corner
in the same wind.
It fought us up the hill
blew us in the door.
The elevator rose
on gusts of stale air
fed on ancient feasts.
Your room smelled
of bug spray and roses.

In those days
we went to bed with Marvell.
The wind ruffled sheets and pages,
spoke to us through walls.
For hours I used to lie
with my ear to your bare chest,
listening for the sea.

Now the wind is tearing
the buliding down.
The sheets are rising.

They billow through the air like sails.

White with your semen,
holding invisible prints
of the people we once were,
the people we might have been,
they sail across the country
disguised as clouds.

Momentarily they snag
on the Rocky Mountains,
then rise
shredded into streamers.

Now they are bannering
over Stillwater
where your existance
is rumored.

Caverns in the heart

She is frightened when the poem is done.
The poem whose scrawled yellow pages
have filled her heart for so long
is snatched away.

And the hole in her heart echoes
like a garbage can
thrown against a courtyard
in the city.

She writes to fill that hole
whose quicksand edges
eat her heart out from the muddy center,
and when they take away her pages,
her stuffing, her asbestos insulation,
she rattles
like a palsied hand
sticking out a silver spoon
for sugar.

The poem-in-progress
was the mattress of a bed
where her past made love
to her future,
where her mother hugged her father,
where all the apparitions of the dead
slept like babies
after milk laden bottles.

She has no choice- she will begin again
Her loneliness: the ink of her pen.
