no title (Rubaiyat)

not riches in gold like sultans crave
but heart be pure and soul be brave
shafts of arrows your thought engrave
while laying petals on Omar's grave

***

(( Through path of time ))
****
1000 bright days gone
1000 nights appeared
1000 lips begged a kiss
1000 hearts felt love
1000 dreams came true
1000 wishes died
1000 eyes cried
1000 years passed by
*****
But

*****
Sky's still blue
Clouds dance
Dew kisses flowers
Light tempts butterflies
Quietness covers forests
Waves of sea never sleep
Night birds still sing
Sun never stop shining
Moon fascinates eyes
Stars blink eternally
Still nothing changed
***
Except mind of human
*******

Time's run out

Time's run out I here you shout, he goes so very fast
Before you know what the future holds, whoosh he's gone he's passed
I point..."There's precious time, there he goes, he's just passed us by"
That's time alright I hear you cry, for no man does he wait
You have to give him credit though he's never ever late.

rustic leaves

I looked out from my window
onto the ground below
beside the small roadway
a grassy bank
where stood this lonesome tree
the early year saw
it right bough break
by mothers natures hand
standing with a
missing arm it seemed
and now the rustic leaves
lie fallen to the ground
while others look on
once admired the foliage
is scattered here and there
mother nature sweeping
and pushing to the air
i wondered on this tree of life
leaves cast down
no more to climb
upon a branch
as we did as kids
but lie there still rusting
does anyone notice
in this speed of light world
be it leaves
or people lying in need
the beggar the pauper
ears waiting for words
often not heard
fallen, forgotten
by failure or age
strangers and orphans
people with rage
will anyone ever
notice life's tree
and the leaves
just like people
blown by the breeze
the moral i guess
is to value our leaves
while they are with us
joined to the tree

Returning leaves

I had bagged but one of 4 or 5 leafy
drummonds of palletted tree droppings
Working hurriedly to beat winters
blanketing of white capped stoppings
My son and I were both feeling quite
tired to the point of humdrum
And would work til dark before we could
go in and finally have some fun

My son raked a high hill of leaves,
went back and scratched some more for a while
I looked up and saw a dusty minifunnel cloud
head in from the road in style
I saw it heading directly for our leaves
and could but innocently just smile
The intruder lifted them like some huge
kitchen gadget and tossed them with gile.

It then set the leaves gently down about
where they originally were laid
My son looking astounded at what
little progress we had made
Tossed the raked, sat down, looked up and
said something about wanting to go in
Our gazes met and at that instance all
the work was worth that shared chagrin

The Miracle of Rebirth

There was a hush everywhere
as if the world was on pause
an expectancy stirring in the air
not a single sound just silence

What was happening out there?
far away, deep in the outback
a circle stood made of animals
each with ears pricked forward

Staring intently, still as statues
hardly a breath being drawn
in the middle giving birth
A beauteous snow white deer

The fawn is born, a collective sigh
stirs from the spell bound audience
here she is, the promised princess
a plaintive cry as she struggles to her feet

There in the moonlight she stands
regal from the tip of her nose
proudly her mother shows her off
Bambi moves forward to join them

Trembling legs all going each way
Bambi nuzzles her as she stands
this he seems to say is my heir
all the animals approach and kneel

Paying their homage to Silver
exclaiming at her beauty
peace will reign the forest
all drawn together by the birth

Sunsets

Sunsets come and sunsets go.
The intensity to for tell,
One could not know.

Yet when they reveal their fiery glow,
My heart swell's by their heavenly show.

Each one reveals a new suprize.
A wonder to behold with my eyes.

Muir Woods

Young and eager romps
the charmed saplings in the woods
Fearing no evil

MARIJUANA

Marijuana entered my world the first time at Twelve years old
the best stuff I recall smoking was literally the color Gold
It's about damn time those seeking relief are now legally able
despite medicinal benefits it wont negate it's negative label

It should be legalized for personal use NOW opposed to later
having no personal knowledge shouldn't make you such a hater
Our Nation preaches it's about freedom but deny adults their choice
let the country vote so "We the People" can be the deciding voice

Let's demonize Marijuana while continuing to let alcohol devastate
whats right about those ignorant about Cannabis deciding it's fate
The most fallacious remark about pot is it leads to other drug abuse
TOTAL BULLSHIT that has long been oppositions ONE go to excuse

If it's born naturally from this Earth government shouldn't have any say
America incessantly overstepping their bounds is simply their unjust way
Why not ease stress for the millions who know Marijuana is actually alright
The 'freedom' to inhale marijuana should be every mature adults right!
