Books on Tape

Listen to me and you will be rich
Buy my best selling books on tape:
How to Convince Losers to Spend Their Hard Earned Money on Your Worthless Books on Tape
Using God and People's Fear of Death as a Money Maker
Also, You Bought This Book Sucker, Now I'm The One Who's Really Rich!
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!
How about this classic
Hey Fool, I May Write It, But I Don't Actually Live By It,
I Tell You What To Do ,
But I'll Be Damned If I'm Gonna Do It!
Also my other book
You Bought This Book on Tape and I Took the Money and Spent It On
Gambling, Drinking, and Hookers!

About this poem:
There are so many self help book out there. One of the most popular being Tony Robbins who made over a billion with his self help books and seminars. Did he really help anyone? Probably like the lottery, a few win and the rest lose.

I'm Not Giving You a Broom!

I waited for you
To make the first move
You were in charge
And did what you do

Looking in my glass house
You saw what you see
I was vulnerable
So you took advantage of me

In the first petition we faux wed
And you created my future course
But, I’ve finally had enough of your scam
Now it’s time for us to faux divorce

You were the one with the masterful plan
And what I really needed didn’t matter
All you wanted was to make your play
So you’d get whatever you were after

Simultaneously,
You put me in the driver’s seat
And handed over the keys
While you got in on the passenger's side
And feigned giving the control to me

Being unlicensed and trusting you
I then took hold of the wheel
Not knowing you were just using me
To get my signature on your lucrative deal

The one where I became an indentured servant
So others could decide my fate
But, eventually I exposed your treachery
And since then I’ve gotten nothing but hate

After once upon a time
Smiling sweetly in my face
So handsome, and oh so grand
YOU, the TOP GUN
The BIG MAN with a plan
Didn’t want to hang your head in disgrace

Lately
You’ve been getting a wee bit upset
And still doing whatever it is you still do
While I’ve made plans to quicken your step
By encouraging you to make your next move

Because you need votes and connections
From one to the other end of the State
Who will enjoy sitting down at your table
Eating your food from off of your plate
And
Together you’ll make merry and laugh
At the joke you made, oh yeah, that’s “me”
Determined to hang on until the end
And to never allow me to go free

As you bask in your hay days
And all the money you made
You’re happy with the respect you achieved
At my expense and others like me too
While we paid your debts
And still want answers from you

But, you underestimate us
And my willingness to strive
When you left me with nothing to lose
After you lied
And cheapened my pride

And now you’re getting angrier
The more doggedly I share
Me, the little mouse
Fat cats no longer scare

BUT,

DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT I CARE?

Why don’t you put your… oops,
OUR money
Where your mouth is
Let’s finally meet together in the courtroom
I’m sure your posse will be there
And the new Judge can decide
Preponderance
Evidentiary documents
And sworn testimony too

Then I’ll show my hand
Politely address you as “Sir”
And mop the floor up with you!!!

Oh, that’s right, I almost forgot
You prefer that we mediate without proof
In a private room where no one can see
So all your bad faith acts will stay buried in history

But I’m not giving you the broom that you need
So you can sweep me
And what you’ve done to everyone
Quietly
Under the rug

Especially since your new plan
Is to avoid a public scandal
In your campaign to be elected his Honor

The reigning JUDGE!!!

Orwellian

If you haven't had
your swine-flu shot
If you try to run you'll
Be caught, get your RFID today
If you don't then you will pay.

Big brother says you
Must have your vaccination,
Don't try to run,
Don't try to go on vacation.

If you haven't had
your swine-flu shot
If you try to run you'll
Be caught, get your RFID today
If you don't then you will pay.

Raid your house and
Hold you down, doctor says
With a frown, Hold still
While I violate your civil rights
Terrify you, lay awake at nights

If you haven't had
your swine-flu shot
If you try to run you'll
Be caught, get your RFID today
If you don't then you will pay.

Burger King

Burger King
Has come to our town
I used to go to the one in Dubuque back in the 90's
I would get the Whopper Jr., small fries, and a small Mello Yello
2.22
I upgraded to a large on Tuesday, August 15
6.90
Quite a difference 21 years makes
ding fries are done
I gotta run
I work at Burger King
Making flame broiled whoppers
I wear paper hats
Would you like an apple pie with that?
Don't touch the fries in hot fat
It really hurts bad
And so do skin grafts
Wait for the bell
Can't hear the bell
Where is the bell?
Ding fries are done!

Go Ban

Obama gone
Dig it dig it
Said the coal miners

Trump in
We're mad again
Said the loudmouth whiners

Obama Iran
Trump Go Ban
Uncle Sam build a wall close to the Rio Grande

English language number one again
illegals feel better when they get together
And watch cnn

The Tale of the Old Man (Part IV)

The next year I worked so hard
That time just flew on past
Things that been let go too long
Like paint upon the walls

Nineteen fifty two rolled round
A year of many happenings
King George passed away
The country was in mourning

Elizabeth took up the crown
She was coronated
The King is dead long live the Queen
The sentiment was echoed

A nuclear blast of western coast
At Monte Bello Island
This weapon could destroy us all
What were the British thinking

Immigrants from far flung lands
Were arriving in our nation
Those we fought in years gone by
Now sought us out for shelter

Was in fifty three that I met her
Her beauty was astounding
Her family were immigrants
Austria they were leaving

I was barely twenty seven
And she was just nineteen
Though language was a barrier
I could not let her be

We spent the hours attempting to talk
Of this and that and other
Somehow we managed to communicate
And love slowly blossomed

Was in fifty four with heart in hand
I pledged eternal love
On my knee the question asked
Will you life's journey share

You cannot imagine happiness
Or how I felt that day
Mary agreed to be my wife
And next year to be married

In February of fifty nine
The government decided
No longer did we close at six
Till ten pm stayed open

With this came a change of face
A dining room we opened
Now they came for meal and drink
And a game of darts after

So rapidly the day drew near
The day of our marriage
Came the day my nerves were shot
I had to have a whisky

Down the aisle like floating angel
Came my sweet, sweet Mary
Veil that covered all her face
And a long train behind her

Once again the old man stopped
The look so far away
In mind's eye he saw his bride
The way she looked that day

So young was she, so beautiful
And mine forever be
I lifted veil to kiss her lips
And husband and wife were we

We settled in behind the pub
My joy knew no bounds
This I'd longed for all my life
Our souls joined as one

Such excitement we'd never seen
When fifty six rolled round
Melbourne had the Olympic Games
and we bought a TV

Spellbound we would watch this box
Such a modern marvel
Well.....back then it was
There was nothing like it

I'd barely turned thirty one
When I became a father
Catherine was the name we gave
This precious little bundle

Hair as fine as silken gold
And eyes of deep sky blue
A smile to make the angels sing
That was my little girl

When I was thirty three
A son was given me
Strong and sturdy, full of smiles
Bertram we called him

Famine

The world is a very sad place at times to be,
many do not know of such hunger and sadness,
people do not want to be rich but just fed and free,
troubled areas in the world such madness,

Sudan a place I went back in eighty five,
working for Save the Children Fund as a coordinator,
seen so many skeletons walking or crawling alive,
images never forgotten in dreams they come much later,

When body bags have all gone,
placing lifeless children in plastic bags,
the stark darkness within sunlight they shone,
hands a shaking placing those tags,

That terrible smell of human stench,
old and young huddled together,
made your stomach really wrench,
images that remain with you forever,

looking down at that brown face and soft curls,
seeing the way they died malnutrition,
never again to feel another touch unfurled,
this is fact not dreams or superstition,

Nearly thirty years on and its still the same,
man made wars and natural disasters,
when will this world learn living life is not a game,
images of death still flash around from newscasters,

About this poem:
The world is still a terrible place to live and survive especially during troubled times, you have your own comforts and food on a table, but so many do not have this luxury and through no fault of their own suffer this indignity of dying because of no food.

I have a testamony

I have a testamony of my own
I'm drowning in this world
And floating through a strange
encounter of flesh
Dead, hot, amusement
of the mind
To exsist souly
for an attempt at self-demise
Whisper me lies
The child within me cries
And in the end everybody dies

Talk to me...
or about me,
To your convineince.
Include me
let me feel wanted
Break away from this trendy hate
The world has for me
Treat me like me
Not like the mass populous
I am different
I cannot change
I have tried
So hard have I tried

With every tear
You never knew I cried

Something's Missing

They don't like old fashioned talk
But since they no longer listen
Things haven't gone so well
Something's missing and it seems that no one can tell

It's all about war
And the weather isn't right
Everybody's got to have more
But holding less tonight

Is it some kind of sleep walking
Does anybody know
Are we under a mysterious spell
Something's missing and it seems that no one can tell

A sink hole,a volcanco and the west is going dry
A mud slide, a riot and what are they spraying in the sky
What once was rotten in Denmark is now a worldly trail
Something's missing and it seems that no one can tell

Follow the Truth

“Christmas” the celebration reached again
New Year also near
What we did in the past
What we will do in the future
It’s nothing to worry about in the present
I am taking the oath “I will just follow the truth”

I looked at my right and left
I looked at my front and back
Every where I can see “Sin” more than “Truth”
This is the time to take the oath
“I will just follow the truth".
