Entertain Me!

Violence in sports
You damn right!
Give me some football!
Give me a batter charging the mound in baseball!
I wanna hear Trump make another stupid speech
War and death
War and death
Go together like crack and meth
Cause I tell you brother
You can't have one without the other
Here comes the tornado
There goes the hurricane
Only one thing I like better than a cruise
And that my friends is the 6 o clock news!

About this poem:
It seems we have a lot of stuff out there that makes a lot of money for the corporate elite. They say Trump got billions in free advertising, but how much did he make those networks like CNN? It has gotten to the point that it's all about entertainment, and the issues just don't pay the bills any more.

Predatory Universe...???

Patience, pursue, pounce, prey...,
The way of wild African animals,
Or wall-street wizards?

On the one hand, the mother crocodile tenderly takes her young to water,
On the other it ruthlessly and without hesitation will take some other mother’s young in her steel jaws of death,
Which is right, which is wrong?
Is there right, is there wrong?

A suburban family looses their home,
But their devastation becomes a venture capitalist’s successful day at the office: “Today I bought 3 foreclosed homes for pennies on the dollar, honey...”, “Oh that’s wonderful hubby, I’m glad you had a good day...”

Which is right, which is wrong?
Is there right, is there wrong?

A father gets unexpectedly laid off, his wife and children greet the news with shock and sorrow...,
Whilst the CEO gets a pat on the back for ‘saving’ his company by strategic and successful layoffs...

Which is right, which is wrong?
Is there right, is there wrong?

A man ends an ‘oppressive’ bond and breathes a sigh of ‘relief’ at his new-found freedom, whilst the woman weeps disconsolately...,
Vice versa, a gold-digger spurns a man for ‘greener pastures’, whilst the man’s manhood is crushed yet again...

Which is right, which is wrong?
Is there right, is there wrong?

The drug dealer works hard and risks his freedom to ‘make-a-living’, whilst the health of the users ‘goes-to-pot’...,

Which is right, which is wrong?
Is there right, is there wrong?

The western world is gripped by an obesity epidemic,
Whilst 30,000 children die every day from malnutrition-related causes in the ‘third-world’...

Which is right, which is wrong?
Is there right, is there wrong?

Eat, starve?
Buy, sell?
Stay, leave?
Fight, surrender?
Love, hate?
Pray, prey?

I often wonder, my friends, which fiendish mind ‘created’ all this,
I often wonder...

When Wisdom Whispers

Wisdom whispers in your ear
Tells you in a soft voice
All you need to hear
When you make the wrong choice
Let’s make one thing clear
If you only listen to yourself
You don’t have much to fear
Life can throw a few curves
You swing you miss they jeer
And just as quickly you swerve
Hit a home run and they cheer
So…when wisdom whispers in your ear
Let it tell you in the softest tones
Words you will hold so dear

Your Truth

Your truth could never be true
Contaminated with lies,
Envy too,
Your truth tried to hurt me
But you end up hurting you
See, when people finally see you for what you are
Your repute will be gone like a shooting star
Spreading lies like a plague
It will all come back on your name
For no one will want you to darken their door
They will listen to your tales never more
Tales of deceit
Tainted green.....
Itching your tongue like poison ivy
Your truth don't scare me
I will never shrink
Before your malodorous
Gossip
Food you don't give
My clothes you don't buy
Your truth don't give me drink
So I don't give a rat's eye
Your truth is mean,
May sometimes make me scream
But let me let you know.....
It ain't gonna stop my show
For all that I am and all that I have
Came from the Creator above
And when I go to sleep at night
I rest in His love....
Now think about that,
Think long and hard
For me you should be glad
That my Father and I we got it going good
Cuz I know I am covered y His blood.
His is the only truth I'll take
Over your BS,
You big fake.
Talking me bad
Seems to make you glad
But just wanna say....
I am still the best friend you ever had.

Karaoke

It's fun to get up there and sing a song
Sometimes to get a laugh
Sometimes to get a laugh without planning on it
My last song was Stan by Eminem
My first karoke song was 1979 by the Smashing Pumpkins
My biggest laugh for Adam Sandler's At A Medium Pace
Some songs haven't gone over so well
Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time
Billy Joel's Allentown
I have to admit sometimes I sing a song to mess with the audience
Now I am singing songs that are related to Halloween
My next song will be The Blob
My song after that will be Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
I started singing karaoke in 2001
I have been singing every week since then
I do one song a week at a bar called Brothers on Second
This is in Platteville, Wisconsin
I have sang around 780 songs so far

About this poem:
I sing every day in my car. If I had a house I would sing much more, but apartments don't work too well as I like to sing really loud. Most of my songs are pop songs and I try to taylor them to the holidays.

Monsters Among Us

Hillary Clinton
Donald Trump
Coworkers at every job I ever had
My parents
Kids at school
Companies that pay less than the minimum wage anywhere in the world
p*dophile
Trolls on the internet
Bad teachers
Deadbeat dads
People shooting other people in Chicago, Dallas, and many other cities
Corrupt cops who use drones
Politicians who sells out their citizens in the name of greed
Drunk drivers
Abusive husbands
Abusive wives
Bad bosses
Companies who ship jobs away to other cities or countries
People on welfare who could work, but would rather steal
Landlords
Drug dealers
Pimps
Sex trade trafficers

ISIS

ISIS
Islamic State of Iraq and Syria
Cutting off heads
Killing men
Raping women
What is Islamic about that?
Why do people use religion as an excuse to be cruel to others?
Why are they here?
I think that it is a result of our cruelty to the Iraqis
Stealing their oil
Taking their incomes from 7000 to 700
Leaving many dead or dead broke
1 trillion dollars stolen for what?
So a peace we supposedly paid for could be stolen in days?
We seem to be in the business of creating terrorists
Terrorism is what we do to other countries and to our own people
Is ISIS bad?
Yes!
But so are we

About this poem:
I have been celebrating Halloween since September 15. I used to celebrate Halloween with ghosts, goblins, and werewolves. Now it seems I celebrate it with ISIS, politicans, and the police state.

Senator Please!

Dear Senator,

Why do you continue to lie on tv and get paid millions to do it?
Why do you say one thing and then in reality say screw it?
Here we are spending 20 percent of our incomes on health care
When it seems you don't really care
Just lining your pockets with wheelbarrels full of cash
While you make it to your fancy cars with a dash

Paul Ryan

He's so handsome
He's so fit
He's as good looking as Sarah Palin
but he doesn't wear designer glasses
He comes from Wisconsin
Janesville to be exact
He has a wife and three children
He's a good speaker
But...
He wants to cut the budget
Take away social security
So they say
His running mate is Mitt Romney
He looks like an evil man riding a horse
He has shipped jobs away
He has money in Swiss Bank accounts
Like Sarah
Part of me wants to like him
But he is a Republican
Like Reagan and the Bushes
Not like Lincoln at all
I can't vote for him
I couldn't vote for Walker either
But you gotta admit
He's a good speaker

About this poem:
This whole election has me troubled. Last time I was all happy to vote for Barack Hussain Obama. Now it's like in 1992, but no Ross Perot to be found.
