BlissfulRaven

The Clock upon the Wall

The clock upon the wall keeps ticking
In a slow procession of beats
The cars parade out on the streets
Sitting lost in silent thinking

The world has changed irreversibly
People now moving in fractured sync
Afraid to cough or even blink
As their lives become more beastly

For most it's just a continued misery
Seeing no hope or reason now
Not seeing the depth of the trickery
Nor even asking why or how

Life has changed for everyone
Inscribed in the minutes ticking by
Measured only in the overrun
And, still the people don't ask why

Solutions abound for those in control
They're drunk on a powerful drink
All the people bow down and shrink
Having lost their voices and human souls

Freedom is fleeing from all mankind
Life's normal now orchestrated to appall
In the malicious lies fabricated to malign
Measured in the ticking of the . . .
. . .clock upon the wall

SIDEWARDS

I once kept a crab as a pet
but had not yet chosen its name
I wished to teach it how to speak
or at least emit a small squeak

So finally we got to chat!
I questioned it: “do you in fact,
move yourself sideways or forwards?”
Quoth it, “manifestly FORWARDS!”

I reflectively baptized it
“Progress”.

United Nation Snow Creature Council (UNSCC)

The near-extinction of snowmen and snow women and animals across vast expanses of their former range and its habitat has raised serious concern about the negative consequences of climate change. By the petition and listing process for the prevention of extinction of these snow creatures such matters will soon become the focus or public notice, comments, and judicial review. The eminent species survival and recovery of snow creatures will examine their critical habitat, recovery plan, ‘no surprises’ rule, and ‘safe harbor’ agreements including the establishment of experimental populations. The large fossil burning corporations found responsible under this new listing shall bear the cost for this recovery effort through penalties and use of money received through violations of the Endangered Species Act. The United Nations Snow Creatures Council (UNSCC) along with the International Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (IOAA) will administer this effort.

There is the present or threatened destruction, modification, or curtailment of snow creature habitat caused by the over utilization fossil fuels for the commercial, recreational, scientific, or education pursuits which must be curtailed at once. . These species are declining due to the invariable effects of global warming which must be reversed by the world economy chilling out above and beyond the inadequacy of existing market driven energy consumption sectors and their existing regulatory mechanisms.

The penalties for violation to these listing are different degrees of violation with the international laws under the jurisdiction of The Hague. The most punishable violations can be a maximum fine up to $50,000 or imprisonment of one year for each violation served in an arctic cave with no clothes. Countries who are net exporters of crude oil will be held accountable for their contribution for global warming by the amount of energy in unit terms and payable to those regions of the planet most affected. The whole scope and purpose of this law is for the redistribution of ill achieved gains through unscrupulous profits used by said member violators for their own political and economic gain at the expense of indigenous populations of snow creatures worldwide. Set before this council April 1st, 2012.

Reagan

Watching Reagan on YouTube
chat show
smoother than I remember
folksy, late seventies
having just come out of Governor of California
he looked good
didn't look like he was pitching for the White House
but '81 was coming..

Launch of neo-liberalism
which is precisely why you don't have a job
or if you do it doesn't pay
how's that possible
from a former lifeguard?

I only remember the the assassination attempt
then the mental deterioration
I guess we should be grateful things went well
with Gorby
better than the current NATO encirclement of Russia
taunting the bear.

Do You Chat

it dosent realy matter , if they want to connect with another
just to prove life dose exist at some other place , apart from in their mind , just so they can justify their own existance.....

Everyday at about ten a.m.

Everyday at about ten in the morning,
The same thing happens over and again.
The same people as usual go out,
Leaving behind wives and children at homes.
Still the earthquake does not shake the ground.
As the evening nears, the same people
Head back to their homes,
All tired and defeated.

I know the earth will not shake this way,
Nothing will happen this way.
These people are afraid of some reason.
They, all over again,
Arrive at the foregone conclusion
That lying is an art,
And every man is an artist,
Not after the reality of the world
But after his own craziness
To give meaning to his world.

Sometime when I return
Home in the evening,
I feel terrifying shapes,
Like thunderbolts,
Crashing through my soul,
As if someone crushed together
All colorless men and things
And pasted them on some blank spot
Against the blood colored ground.
And now all the buried colors of men
Have sprung up by themselves.

beauty in the face

tossed upon the seas of love
the hateful soul unrepentant
sloganed roses read OsLove
to show humanity's decedents

what the stronger will stand for
bury the hate after the tears
no heating up of this cold war
speak to each in higher prayers

hate may have a home in Hades
but the people here won't bite
held high cool love to cascade
renounce hostility abolish fright

each individually, and as a race
stands at a fork in their road
turn toward love or a darker place
either way picked emotions flowed

these now stand voicing tolerance
flowers of acceptance held high
instead of falling into malevolence
individuals as a nation do reply

O Gentlemen

O Gentlemen

It is your blood or theirs,
It is the human blood after all.
War may go on in the East or the West,
It will bleed the peace of world, after all.

Bombs may fall on homes or on outskirts,
They wound the spirit of life after all.
Our crops may burn or theirs,
The famine will kill humans, after all.

Tanks may move forward or recede
They tear open the Earth after all.
Be it the victory of war or the mourning of defeat,
Life sheds tears on death after all.

So, O gentlemen!
It is better to end the war.
In the courtyards, yours and ours,
It is better to keep the candles burning.

Common Law Of Claim

Should a man steel his feet amongst thee claim,
Steal of feat the man of him in same.

Should a man bear his hand upon thee face
Bare of bone and hand to he his due disgrace

Should a man eye thee fare and dwindling drink
I pronounce it fair and just he water bound to sink.

Should a man linger about your wedded wife
Linger not, you're to show this man's throat the knife.

About this poem:
Just wording around with some play

And no, I don't feel a man's wife is his claim. But many old laws did. It's just a poem.

And yes, I cheated on 'linger'.

Please enjoy.

Vote

Why should politics be entwined with love,
My heart is open and up for debate,
Leave your votes and polls,
Your underhanded views,
My heart is open to criticism,
Only functioning brains may apply,
Dull heart, poor brain,
The welfare in my arms,
Conjunction of love and hate,
There's no politics in my love,
No yes or no vote,
To be truly real not to appeal,
The satisfaction in one's life,
Fact or fiction love is blind,
How come I see so far,
Place my stand and cast my voice,
Listening to humble words lay,
I hear all but listen to little,
I see the mess that you make,
Cast your vote....
