DAH

See no evil
Speak no evil
Hear no evil
is what they
say to me.
But how can
that be.
For i see
what is in
front of me.
I can not
just put on
a blank stare
and let life be
that way for me.

The Eagle Will Fly

The Eagle Will Fly

Growing up since I was a young boy my Grandpa said to me,
To live my life with honor and always have integrity,
Cause one day a call may come for me to join the fight,
To defend our Constitution, for me to keep that well in sight,

They say our Constitution is outdated and so old,
All around this here nation, that’s the stories being told,
If my Grandpa was here today, he would laugh, and say that’s just all lies,
He would tell me to look at him, to look him in the eyes,

He would say to me, my boy, there’s a story I must tell,
World War Two is where I stood my ground, where others died and fell,
There was only one reason, why I would want to stand and fight,
to defend my countries honor till the dawn’s early light,

To defend the people of this land of their God given rights,
To stop the evil fiends that has power in their sights,
Don’t worry what people say to you, and the lies they have bought,
You will be honored in the end, after the good fight will be fought,

I sit here and ponder these words I believe he would have said to me,
He would be proud I lived my life with honor and integrity,
I’ll keep on talking about what people cannot see,
Even, if they keep saying its crazy and all a conspiracy.

What will it take for everyone to finally come together?
Will it take their eyes to watch that single falling feather?
That feather belongs to a symbol that represents us all,
Wondering what that feather means it’s the beginning of the call,

That symbol is perched watching silent and patiently,
Staring down at the power being wielded with impunity,
Waiting for that little spark, when everyone starts asking why?
We will start our fight for FREEDOM, when the Eagle begins to fly….

palaver

today's rhetoric just makes me sick
"undue use of exaggeration or display"
say some bull and which details to pick
just ignore some facts that get in the way

is beneath contempt for well thought mind
and generally a nuisance for all society
won't solve problems and merely designed
to get one's way and claim soapbox piety

so before I go jump in some grandiose lake
and take argument hook, line, and sinker
to think I'll swallow it all is a mistake
I'll be my own man and a freethinker

take your bite, your blurb and try again
speak with intelligence and use your brain

Right to water

water,water every were
but not a drop to drink
Enda looked out the window
and he did start to think
He called up the gang
and they started to hatch a plan
a secret tax on water that what we will do
and sure the residents of the country will not have a clue
legislation was passed
and so began the Irish water farce
now Enda being a two faced man
he knew he needed a back up plan
So Enda met the brown envelop clan
convinced them of his plan
we will spend 50 million with your man
He will tell us how it is done
Installing meters having fun sure might even build a dam.
So with all this money coming in
The private companies will be in a spin
They will line up out side
All ready to hand me a bribe
Now on this night Enda and Joan spoke by phone
A great idea they agreed
It is the best plan we ever had we will get rich
The poor we can drink from a ditch
But what they did not know then
But they well know now
That there brilliant plan we the government crashing down
For the people of Ireland have a voice
We get choose our government
And next time we make the right choice

How Many Have to Die?

Bewildered as black people we stand between friends and foes, merging from different forms of slavery, but yet to be free; abandoned by the promise of forty acres and a mule to stake their lot. From the righteous ambition of this ill-fated notion we rose from the ashes destined for something greater that failure or death. Political powers, indifference and contempt fuels impartial protection before a democratic system that has vowed to serve and protect all citizens without compromise or bias.
How Many Have to Die?
Alluded prejudices based on color or race deepens insensitiveness to seek the element of truth. Hatred embedded in leadership is regressive in the soul of democracy, manifested with no palpable gain. Retrogression is social desire in opposition to progress and social movement. Education is commissioned to teach tolerance and understanding without self-sacrificing indifferences as hatred, envy or strife.
How Many Have to Die?
Assimilation through self- assertion is a natural process; the disenfranchisement of any race should come into question without silent submission; notably protecting human dignity and life should not be seen as revolt or revenge but an act of poetic justice by the masses. The irony of blindly sighted mistrust along color or race lines is a paradox of fear and the impetus of race prejudice and a breeding ground for deep seated hatred and justified murder.
How Many Have to Die?
Reconciliation was once a growing spirit equitable to race healing but largely an experiment leaving no one responsible for the wrongs to aid and abet the national crime of slavery. Emancipation became industrialized slavery under “Jim Crow” and civic deaths of blacks divided our nation and killed the power to heal. Blacks have strived mightily to help themselves, but it is second or aroused by the richer environing groups; set on unorthodox practices to kill the human spirit. Enslaved minds are boldly desecrated with deep seeded roots that dawns our nation’s history. The darkness can be lifted through the rebuilding of our vision not to relive past mistakes rooted in society like scattered stones.
How Many Have to Die?
We must hasten the journey of change and stop the burying of our young before they had a chance to live. “Stand Your Ground” is legalized street justice occupying space no one owns. All are not silent on this unfenced notion of legal justice waddling down justice path. Did we forget to close the gate hinged on past history or is fear and hatred so deeply seated we lost our ability to care. Let not our life’s journey stop here starring at a law that has so blindly crept into our civilized society under the veil of race hatred hidden under the hood of justice. Does “Stand Your Ground” disenfranchise our freedom or did the citizens of Florida vote themselves into a revolution of war and justified murder?
Just How Many have To Die?

good and bad

So many things
can be good when their bad
You have to be happy
when you know you are sad

I like to watch
the very best
whether its watching a fight
or a bird in its nest

There is so much bad
In so much that's good
Its in every man
and in every hood

Sometimes its hard
to see what's good in what's bad
and you have to look hard
to see what you had

If life teaches us lessons
and makes us wise on the way
we know we can learn
from god and bad every day

Vision

I had a vision the other day
I saw the future and it looked grey
It doesnt matter which direction we steer
All I know is that the end is near

I saw the terror in the darkness that waits
I saw destruction in the future we'll make
Controlled by greed and numbed by ignorance
Its getting close to humanities last dance

Why bring a child into a crumbling world?
A selfish act just to feel normal
I'll take no part in this toxic scene
You can keep your corrupted machine

Religious disorder,mental rape
Innocent murder,no escape
Allow to be brainwashed,an infectual disease
Open your eyes or fall to your knees

American's Vow

American people hear me now,
The time has come to make a vow,
Within our borders, there is a storm growing,
Nameless faces, never showing,

The time is now to make our stand,
And one day our children will understand,
The fight we fight, is for all to see,
The fight we fight, so our children will be free,

Things we learn and what we pass on,
Are slowly being taken, until they are gone,
They will seek to destroy in what we hold dear,
To hold us hostage, for us to live in fear,

Heartless souls with a false destiny,
Seeking their glory for eternity,
We the few who see the light,
Will never stop putting up a fight,

Through words of integrity of our strength and will,
The American people will never stand still,
To watch them destroy the fabric of this land,
Its something these people will never understand,

We the people its what we believe,
How this country was first conceived,
We salute the flag that flies so high,
It’s a feeling that we will never let die.

So bring your forces, try to take our rights,
We the people have you in our sights,
We are the ones that will save this land,
United we stand hand in hand.

Listen good and listen now,
This is THE AMERICAN PEOPLES FINAL VOW!

Black Friday

Black Friday, well what can i really say.
It's a bargain, the price humanity does pay.
Kicking and punching to save a penny or two.
Augments a plenty, in the disorderly queue.

It's mine, i got my hands on it first.
You son of a b*tch is then often cursed.
A world full of luxury, yet many have nothing.
While those that want more, their pockets they're stuffing.

A materialistic money grabbing idea was born.
While in reality it's the demise of morals we mourn.
It's not the needy that's rushing to get what they need.
It's the greedy and their addiction they must feed.

So my thoughts on this whole black Friday deal.
There are no savings that to me will appeal.
Just another tear i shall cry for our human race.
As yet again our behaviour is a total disgrace.

I hope all you wealthy business men are happy at last.
For the shadow on humanity you have greedily cast.
More money in your pockets, more shares in the bank.
For the death of another day, we all know who to thank.

Away Across The Ocean

They took our food, they took our land
They robbed us of our pride
When the bodies started piling up
They kicked them to the side

Forced labour and enslavement
While the tall men had their wine
Onlookers from a golden view
Those men once on our side

No potatos in the pot
No cattle in the fields
Our ancient forests exported
To a land of wealth and greed

No medicine for the sick
No fuel for the fire
No shoes for our feet
In a country run by liars

No religion and no schools
Our language banned from speech
Our ancient music outlawed
Nothing left was free

With no hope left they soon would flee
Away across the ocean
To a land of hope and promise
Now the plan was set in motion

Goodbye cruel Isle forever
Good riddens to your foreign rule
We'll take our chances elsewhere
Never more to play the fool

We'll take our chances elsewhere
Forget your foreign rule...

About this poem:
A million people are said to have died of hunger in Ireland in the late 1840s, on the doorstep of the world's richest nation Britain. And around 2 million emigrated in a period of a little more than a decade.
