Why

Why...?
Why am I going to go to a place everyday...?
Smiling and acting like I want to be there...?
Because that is what is expected of me?
A cog?, A wheel in the machine?
I'll make this b*tch spin.
For what...?
So I can help the rich get further ahead...?
Others who don't give a damn about me personally?
Wouldn't sit across the table from me and break bread?
Silver Spoon Mother f**kers who are already well off ?
Really...?
Tell me why should I sweat for you?
Why should I help you to my detriment?
How is it that I became your slave?
Tell me again why I need you.
A virus..., Plague..., Nasty sickness.
Sucking my f*cking life away.
Never again...Never...,
I will die first...

Troubled Times

When we first met up we all laughed and joked,
different accents and funny talks,
drunken nights where many choked,
after all the training we learnt to walk,

Those early days were so much fun,
bonds of friendship amongst us made,
for others first time to fire a gun,
some of us even learnt a trade,

Basic training now over and done,
shipped out to different battalions,
fitness and stamina we were born to run,
we felt like men, we were stallions,

Eighteen and full of pride,
new friendships again to trade,
differences were always set aside,
this was the way we were made,

Skills honed in ways to kill,
this became our bread and butter,
always on the move no time to be still,
in our crowd we had the joker and the odd nutter,

Across the seas we were sent,
we knew the risks, we were on the same side,
no mansions or rooms if lucky just a tent,
in our minds the time to kill was for us to decide,

Those first metal tags hanging round your neck,
name, number, religion and blood group too,
embedded details for your kin, what the heck,
scary details of you, but only for others to view,

On a different shore but still part of the homeland,
reinforcing the police patrols to keep the peace,
it was our job being there we had to make a stand,
keeping your head down on those missiles release,

Petrol bombed and shots in the dark,
given a set of cards for rules to fire,
you never forget the sound of that rifles bark,
when you see someone fall and lie very still you know its dire,

Many years of this futile intense,
political wrangling eventually cleared this mess,
for those who lived in those times nothing made sense,
memories cruel and kind made you who you are nonetheless.

About this poem:
For those who remember the troubles of Northern Ireland and lived through this phase an insight into those who were sent on the whim of the political regimes of the time. This poem was in part a collaboration with Tar (Robert) we both know the stresses relating to being there (Falklands & Vietnam) and was hoping to bring about a tale of fears and scares that still haunt us to this day, maybe we will complete if our sanity holds.

JUST SAYING V #CIV

Maybe humans realized themselves they had "Free Will"
also concluded common sense depicts what is or isn't real
Some god didn't give humans the ability to exhaust voice
human Brain houses 'Will' needed to make every choice

Again I vehemently declare life's NOT some precious 'Gift'
it's synonymous with crippling pain keeping us morally adrift
People can die from a broken heart I believe to be true
it unfortunately appears to be the process I'm going through

"The Left's" incessant BIG LIE 'guns are the culprit'
they're playing blind or relish role of ignorant shit
Dems justify minorities dismantling Nation we live in
America pledges "In God We Trust" but facilitate sin

Evil certainly behind the birth of noise known as Rap
incoherent mouthing off isn't 'music' it's immoral Crap
The damage caused since it's origin we can't measure
for inducing societal decay thugs are rewarded treasure

Americas' deemed worlds Beacon of Hope by most
indubitably fact but it's arrogant to incessantly boast
The hypocrisy in our defunct world is immeasurable
speaking TRUTH on the brink of not expressible

WHAT I SEE III

Civil humans navigate existence scaredly
the less than live nefariously
Moral people desire meaningful life
alleged Almighty said 'let Evil be rife'

Faith believers make-up the majority
the mindless eagerly defy authority
So-called justice warriors snuffing history
behind unwarranted uprising no mystery

Colleges are about brainwashing young
leftist professors ONLY preach dung
Patriotic Americans begrudgingly sacrifice
eventually it's 'f*ck being nice'

Unarmed black men being sought
another blatant lie forever taught
Defund police latest insane rant
letting anti-Americans win we can't

Bitching and moaning is full-time
Scream injustice while perpetrating crime
Soros instructs his violent fools
peaceful protesters succumb to mob rules

Dethrone Trump whatever it takes
politicians depict the slimiest snakes
Our nations sovereignty under attack
You're racist if not black

INJUSTICE IS COLOR BLIND!!

White cop murders Black again
justification true racist spin
Factually more whites are killed
at lying liberal's most skilled

Injustice can't be cured
believing otherwise absurd
Truth deniers consciously refuse
facts contradict their views

Origins of slavery fabricated
'original sin' falsely advocated
Sharpton race baiter scum
crying Wolf induces numb

Like savage's people desecrate
uncivilized action no debate
Deflection of blame ironclad
mentality today depicts MAD

We're owed they shout
wut chew talkin' bout?
IF victimhood would cease
culmination possibly peace

BLM vomit Marxist chatter
only black lives matter
Leftists promulgate Fake News
gaslight incessantly to confuse

Floyd's death was wrong
racism same ole song
Here's where I'm leaning
every heartbeat has meaning

DIVERSITY #CVII

Animosity permeating society stems from excessive 'Diversity'
reality every 'denier' is bound to call complete absurdity
Answers rarely come from talks between each side
Parties firm stand on own Ideology negates resolving divide

Drastically altering America's landscape curtails lasting peace
'whites' forced into Minority Status assures divisions increase
Humans grapple with why there's a propensity to be 'racist'
I'd surmise 'Human Nature' is the lone reason racism exist

Self-serving corrupt Politics has reached an all-time high
justice coming from Washington D.C. long ago ran dry
This insufferable world induces the best to "Fall from Grace"
'Life's a Gift' a totally fallacious dupe on the human race

The 'Left' believes perpetual 'handouts' makes them morally legit
the 'Right' knows hard work is essential for what you get
Dems pretend to care about 'women and minorities' for a vote
weight of perpetual 'lies and hypocrisy' they're unashamed to tote

Sustaining peace with so many differing beliefs foolish thinking
vast diversity indubitably conducive to the United States sinking

JUST SAYING IV

Importance of all lives should be the same
it never becoming reality is a shame
Integrity in every sport long ago died
denying it suggest you just lied

The mentally distraught are unjustly deemed crazy
procrastinate a euphemism for 'too damn lazy'
The facts expressed are hardly ever that
what's lost is always wear it was last at

Politicians could care less about society
self-serving is their ONLY priority
The United States is foreigners dream place
humans have fallen short of a humane race

Media is a sinister conduit inducing unhealthy stress
political correctness birthed an irreparable mess

I Would Give My Freedom Back

I
If freedom was the choice to give,
A rogue the chieftain’s cap;
And then, in time, repeat my lack
I would give my freedom back
II
If freedom was the chance to walk
The streets of my home town;
But always fearful of attack
I would give my freedom back
III
If freedom was to join the sect
And wear the robes of pious men;
And then like wolves, run in a pack
I would give my freedom back
IV
If freedom was to rid myself
Of all that makes a moral man;
And torture men on board and rack
I would give my freedom back
V
If freedom was to kill and destroy
The lives of those I did not know;
And then be knighted for whack and whack
I would give my freedom back
VI
If freedom was to know the truth;
But lie and lie, to keep the form
And then receive a hero's plaque
I would give my freedom back
VII
If freedom was to be immune
From the desparate cries of suffering men
And in those places never crack
I would give my freedom back
VIII
But God, the Almighty is Freedom’s source
And no people hold its exclusive rights
For where Freedom reigns, there is no fear
Each man is born as Freedom’s heir

EXRED

WILLIAM WINTER 1792 Last man to hang in Northumberland

Fear gripped his heart
ripped it apart
His trembling limbs
had knowledge of his sins
Hanging was the game
Survival was plain
nonsense he knew
So right on que
he the last one
swung on the gibbet
until his bones and flesh rotted.

About this poem:

Open Minded

Not letting race come between
accepting other peoples views
Befriending someone sight unseen
exercising your right to choose

Listening to the other side
forgiving others when its due
Letting go of stubborn pride
in hopes of starting things anew

Protesting for peoples rights
when they are different from you
Standing in the line all night
just hoping to pass through

Opening up your eyes to see
that our differences are far too few
We all bleed red both you and me
regardless of skin color or tattoo
