Such a perpetually perplexing pain
whats gained
the chance to say hello again
hello and goodbye
said from birth till the day we die
and countlessly inbetween
the delivery courteous and mean
sentiment not always seen

Destructive imitations of what's real,
Corporate companies make a secret deal...
Broadcasting lies to control the mind,
Hind the truth so none shall find...
They work to diminish our vibration,
Bloodthirsty men that rule this nation...
Behind the curtain they call the shots,
Betray the world with deadly plots...
Now the people are lost and blind,
Reject the light of an awakened mind...
Manipulated to the point of control,
To rule the world this is their goal...
But the time is near that is their end,
Into fourth density we begin to bend...
Drifting through the time-space fabric,
Free will is ours and we may have it...
Awake my friends the time is near,
Reject the lies and forsake your fear...
Live your lives in truth and love,
Look within and not above...

Because I could not stop for Death
I avoided him all the same
So every time I heard His name
I blushed with guilty shame.
The dreams and goals of all the youth
hath fallen to decay
No matter how much you cry or pray
We're damned another day.
So abandon all hope, ye simple fools,
We're coming to an end.
Thy broken hearts shall never mend
Even if you date her friend.
Humanity's a funny thing
Once you start to think of it.
Most society is most unfit,
so why don't they just quit?

The Land is Free - Sept 26, 2009
Jim Magee - Poet of the "Common" Man
Dedicated to the Citizens of the World
The land is free but he living is not
Somebody's got to get paid
That is always the way that it's been
Damn near since the beginning of days
Who makes the money? You'll just never know
And that is the way that they like it
You're in the dark - they've got candles and match
But you guessed it - they never will strike it
While you do everything that's in your power
To help everybody you can
They take and they take - till our spirits - they break
I know that I'm not their fan
It costs you to live and it costs you to die
There just doesn't seem to be any justice
All you can do, is just wonder why
Most governments have the nerve to say - "TRUST US"
I Think Not!

Insurance Companies!!!
Jim Magee - Poet of the Common Man
Dedicated to more crooks than I have space to name
Insurance companies, are one of my favorite topics to talk about now
How they take all your money and give so little back
Just simply should not be allowed
Anyone who thinks that "they're" on their side
Must really be smoking good dope
Because to help you out and not rake in the profits
Is more than even JEHOVAH could hope
We all need, just a glimmer of lite
In this world filled with darkness & fear
All we can do is "stand by to stand by"
"Someone please, get me out of here"
Just keep on "knowing" that it will all work out well
Someone has got your back door
Even tho sometimes it's hard to believe
And being faithful is really a chore
Most times their lack of integrity stinks
With you asking "what did I do?"
to cause you to treat me with such little respect
I always paid, what more could I do?
Don't feel sad "little Topo Jijo
Good times are well on their way
Maybe you'll get lucky in the things that you do
You might even have time to play
But play while you can, cuz soon things will change
It's been written, long before this
Just look around and find that someone special
Settle back and give each other a kiss
As you're kissing each other, don't forget to give thanks
For all that's been given to you
And know in your heart that you've done your best
And your best, is all you need do
IF ONLY EVERYONE FELT THAT WAY!

The Concept of Money - Oct 5, 2009
Jim Magee - Poet of the "Common" Man
Dedicated to all my "common" "brothers and sisters"
The concept of money has been on my mind, quite a lot these past days
That printed paper, backed up by rocks,
Can make the whole world so totally crazed
A devious scheme by a master-mind - to keep the majority down
And their plan is working if everyone's face
Is constantly wearing a frown
No=one should ever have to endure
Homelessness, suffering or hunger
Just the mere thought of a night without heat
should be helping your mind to grow stronger
Help everyone with all that you can
That should be your main objective
And do it with love and patience and caring
It's a gift tho, not a directive
When we think of all the resources we have
There's no need to leave anyone wanting
When you see the news clips of the homeless and ill
The pictures are really quite haunting
If everyone, everywhere would gather together
And all be the "Family of Man"
The combined worlds consciousness would create a new beginning
And it's not a case of "COULD, but rather CAN!!!"

FLOWERS LOOK STUNNING
FRAGRANT AND SOFT
IN THE MORNING SUN
TO GIVE TO SOMEONE SPECIAL
BRING WARMTH TO THE EYE
BUT THE FLOWER BEGINS TO DIE
SAD BUT TRUE
IT SEEMS TO BE
MAYBE OTHER GIFTS
THE HEART COULD SEE
AND LET THE FLOWER
GROW AND LIVE

furlough
We walk the walk
every day in the trenches
dealing with attitude, drugs,
and sometimes lack there of.
We hug when needed and
scold way too often
we parent...
every day.
We come to work when sick
because it is easier than paperwork
and make up work.
We come early and stay late.
We go to ball games, and concerts,
plays, and PTO night.
We buy supplies, then buy more
and when that runs out we buy more again
We help kids go on trips buy presents, or maybe
into a new pair of glasses.
Our pay is average OK maybe a little sub-par
but we get extras like smiles or the chance
to see a light bulb go off as understanding dawns.
This year I got an added bonus
6 days off without pay
only difference between us and the rest of the state
We don't take days off!
We still grade and plan
study and learn
furlough is just a name for another day of work!

THERE ONCE WAS A BEACH IN BELIZE
UPON WHICH A CHICK BEGGED ME "PLEASE"
SO I PUT MY HAND
WHERE NATURE HAD PLANNED
AND THAT'S HOW I GOT THIS DISEASE
THIS WAS WRITTEN BEFORE WE WERE BLESSED WITH OBAMA
"ME THINKS SOMETHING STINKS
BARACH OBAMA ISN'T PRESIDENT YET
IT'S NOT IN THE BAG BUT HE IS IN THE KNOW
IF YOU ASK ME THIS COUNTRY REALLY STINKS
SO IT'S APPROPRIATE WE HAVE A PRESIDENT WITH THE INITIALS B.O.
AND OF COURSE I COULDN'T HELP BUT WRITE ONE FOR HILARY
"NOT A BAD CONCEPT"
OUR COUNTRY HAS HAD A LOT OF JOHNS AND GEORGES
BUT I'M ALMOST CERTAIN THERE WAS NEVER A PRESIDENT WITH THE MONICA MICHAEL
THIS COUNTRY HAS PROBLEMS NO MAN WILL EVER SOLVE
SO WHY DON'T WE TRY ELECTING A PRESIDENT WITH A MENSTRUEL CYCLE?
thank you for your attention
