Walls

The people are being brought over in jets
They overstay their visas
The people are coming on foot from below Texas, New Mexico, Arizona
And California
The people who pay off the politicians had an idea
Let's build a wall to keep them sedated
Let's do something that really does nothing about job loss in the USA
We can use this fake solution to distract them from real problems
Like homelessness, sex slaves, national debt, and a host of other real problems
We will rake it in with the tax rate reduced from 35 percent to 21 percent
We will take that money and throw it on the pile
And the rich will continue to get richer and the poor will continue to get poorer
The game is rigged my friends

About this poem:
Trump has become like a swear word in this country. There are many who hate him, and many who love him. I wonder if Kanye West loves all the extra money in his pockets from Trump's tax cut. I'll bet that's the reason.

On the Issues

When you are running for president
You have to let people know where you stand on the issues
I am against abortion and the death penalty too
Let's have free health care for me and you
Increase funding for space travel and go to Mars
Let's have cheaper and more electric cars
Get rid of the fed and income tax too
Make all drugs as legal as the stuff that come from the animal that says "MOO"
Minimum wage should be 15 dollars an hour
Reduce taxes to give the people back the power
No gun control
Unless you can shoot and put a bullet through the same hole
No more free troops sent to other nations
Protect your own countries and reduce our war machine inflation
No more handouts to illegal immigration
Send them back to their own nation
Social Security needs to be taken away
If you want to live forever, save up to pay your own way

About this poem:
I looked at Ron Paul and his stance on some of these issues as he is one of my favorites through the years who ran for president. Ross Perot, Jill Stein, Gary Johnson, and Ralph Nader were some good ones too.

School

I am reading a book called Columbine
It is about the two muderers named Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold
They killed 13 people and injured more than 20
The 20 year anniversary was last Friday
I was on a trip to Arizona at the time
I was on my way up to see the Grand Canyon when the shootings happened
I did not get news of it till the next day when we got back from seeing Sedona
What thoughts did I have at the time of this attack
I thought back to my days of hating school
Mostly hating my inability to get a girlfriend or be popular
I thought that these boys suffered the same
But I was wrong
Eric Harris had girlfriends and did ok
He was in reality a bully just like Ed and Mike and many others at my school
Just he used bullets instead of words
So what is my solution to all this violence going on at school
The real bullets and the word bullets can be stopped if we collectively choose so
I'm not into gun control
I am into guns being locked up in cabinets where the father has the only key
And these same fathers modeling kind words to their wives and their children
That would be a start

About this poem:
This story was one of the biggest of the last century. Unfortunately, it still is being repeated in different ways in different cities and small towns all over this country.

Not Fair And Stare

A poem that's not good enough
A brain that's not smart enough
A talent that's just not there
A pen in hand anyway
Helps to pass the time away
Whether mediocre or fair

Connections not good enough
Funds not rich enough
A social life that's just not there
A pen in hand anyway
Helps to pass the time away
And when I'm through I'll look at the wall and just stare

Not fair and stare
Not fair and stare
Not fair and stare
Not fair and stare

President Mike

Trump is in trouble
Could he quit or be taken out of office?
Is it going to be Nixon all over again?
If it does then we will have a Mike for president
Mike is a good name
Heck, it's a great name
President Mike
He seems like a nice guy
He seems smarter than Donald
So some day soon maybe, just maybe
We'll have to say
Hail President Mike!
Hail President Mike Pence!

About this poem:
The entertainment industry really got a windfall with this guy. It has come to this. We are more interested in being entertained than getting things done. Just sit back with a cool beverage and a nice snack. I prefer Mello Yello and cheese curds.

They're Great!

I saw Tony the Tiger in a commercial
He said for every box of Kellogg's Frosted Flakes
Kellogg's would donate money for sports in schools
I grew up watching this guy during my Saturday morning cartoons
Toucan Sam, The Leprechaun, Sugar Bear, Cap'n Crunch were others
Along with Snap, Crackle, and Pop, from Rice Crispies
What do any of these cereals have to do with healthy living?
They are bad for kids, but I have to admit, I still enjoy them
The advertisers are clever people
But why are they allowed to peddle this crapola on tv?
The drug commercials are the worst
A lot of them claim better health
When if you eat right and exercise, you don't need them, or the side effects
They're greeaatt! advertisements, but not good ones for people

About this poem:
Some of the advertisements I see on TV are pretty aweful. One of the worst is for ASPCA, who gives 1/10 of one percent to the poor dogs they claim to care about.

Adversity

Adversity can feel like a punctured lung, It makes you want to SCREAM " I Can't Breath" R.I.P George Floyd.. It comes and goes as it pleases. My people have scratched and clawed for an ounce of reasoning.. But what do they say "Just shut up and dribble" Time and time again they have tried to kill the Dreamer but the dream lives on and on .The voices get louder and louder they scream Change,Equality, Progress Over Pride,Me2,Black Lives Matter... I stand even in the darkness like Batman and scream Adversity let my people go!!

Evolution

Since the age of the dinosaur,
When all of Nature ruled supreme,
Then all was run by Gaia's Law,

And this new Earth was one blue dream,
Before the dawning of our age,
That heard the first tree-monkey scream,

Then whence from Evolution's page,
Stepped out the first bipedal ape,
To beat his chest in hairy rage,

And to yell with his mouth agape,
Then later on savanah plain,
Did he then make his great escape,

As there, now, does a trace remain,
Of his ancient hominid bones,
To lie there in the dust's refrain,

As the Creationist now groans,
To hear me tell of this stark truth,
His fantasy - he now bemoans,

Those fossil bones, in stone, are proof,
Of these long times, (now gone before),
When the cave's vaulted stony roof,

Girdled Man on its dusty floor,
The nascent Human newly mint,
From the long eons of his war,

For the first Eve, was hairy bint,
When so hairy was her glory,
And the first Adam did newly hint,

(Though, well, that's another story),
And so now, to, the Globe at large,
Came our Man all gruff and hoary,

Upon the World Stage, he did barge,
As the hair fell from his body,
The primal brain, it did enlarge,

He walked straight just like a rod - he,
Held up the Earth, like Atlas, now,
With a confidence not shoddy,

But this I say: - I do avow,
"What's become of Humanity?"
With each as greedy as a sow,

In this world's gross inanity,
Ship run aground on shallow shoals,
When all is but a vanity,

His burning of the oil and coals,
Does now heat this sickly planet,
As Earth, it, in the Cosmos rolls,

(Well, I doubt a god did plan it),
So this, his globe, he now must cool,
Or, to everything, say: "Damn it",

Well, yes, Mankind, has been a fool,
With his overpopulation,
And, this, I say, must be his rule:
STOP!, before there is damnation!

Domination

When we fell asleep last night
Did we wake into a world of fright?
Falling down a rabbit hole
Our lives literally stole

What phenomena occurred whilst we dreamt?
Were the evil red serpents sent?
To conjure up the lot of us
In stages that are just treasonous

Our voices cannot be heard
The lines of insanity are now blurred
Why has the seven heavens fallen
And our hearts and souls called in

Silence gives permission to the not so pure of heart
Sharing the truth to rise above must have a start
When we stop fighting for a life that is free
We accept the heavy hands on the control key

For what give rights to some and not others
Forbidding reaching out and touching our brothers
Rulers come and go not without a battle
Rise up and put an end to the psycho babble

Look deep into the eyes of peace and tranquility
Know this is the true state of all of humanity
Contemplate the truth absent of the unfitted
Never following doctrines made up by the wicked

Plunging deeper into a life of pandemonium control
Becoming lowly victims in a chasm that takes its toll
Breaking free should consume our every thought
Because freedom’s fight must always be fought

“I know but one freedom and that is the freedom of the mind”

~Antoine de Saint-Exupery~
French writer, poet, and pioneering aviator

kem try-ills

what is that noise
i cannot see
its just above the clouds

it sure is loud
and it lasted long
oh ... its raining now

so I stay inside
locking-down
.... within

and I wonder
maybe more
illness it will bring ?
