They took our food, they took our land
They robbed us of our pride
When the bodies started piling up
They kicked them to the side
Forced labour and enslavement
While the tall men had their wine
Onlookers from a golden view
Those men once on our side
No potatos in the pot
No cattle in the fields
Our ancient forests exported
To a land of wealth and greed
No medicine for the sick
No fuel for the fire
No shoes for our feet
In a country run by liars
No religion and no schools
Our language banned from speech
Our ancient music outlawed
Nothing left was free
With no hope left they soon would flee
Away across the ocean
To a land of hope and promise
Now the plan was set in motion
Goodbye cruel Isle forever
Good riddens to your foreign rule
We'll take our chances elsewhere
Never more to play the fool
We'll take our chances elsewhere
Forget your foreign rule...

About this poem:
A million people are said to have died of hunger in Ireland in the late 1840s, on the doorstep of the world's richest nation Britain. And around 2 million emigrated in a period of a little more than a decade.

Life's a party held for your good measure
For spoiled rotten brats who lives with ease
Still hoping to steal more family treasure
Picking fruits from a basket as you please
What causes all you lost souls to suffer
Existing in a world so filled with strife
Can you think of any streets much tougher
With people who don't value their own life
Once happy playgrounds now filled with anger
Ruled by bully gangs looking for some fights
Like watching neon signs flash with danger
With sirens and strobing red and blue lights
Stumbling home drunk after dark so raffish
Can be so proud of the life you lavish

it dosent realy matter , if they want to connect with another
just to prove life dose exist at some other place , apart from in their mind , just so they can justify their own existance.....

I had a vision the other day
I saw the future and it looked grey
It doesnt matter which direction we steer
All I know is that the end is near
I saw the terror in the darkness that waits
I saw destruction in the future we'll make
Controlled by greed and numbed by ignorance
Its getting close to humanities last dance
Why bring a child into a crumbling world?
A selfish act just to feel normal
I'll take no part in this toxic scene
You can keep your corrupted machine
Religious disorder,mental rape
Innocent murder,no escape
Allow to be brainwashed,an infectual disease
Open your eyes or fall to your knees

Being female, not black
how can I possibly know
what it’s like to walk
in dark male skin, where
in a white-dominated society
being young and loved is
not enough to keep one safe
to walk about free-born.
Skittles, iced tea from store convenient
came at such a high price while
NBA All-Star basketball game
players prepared for face-off, unaware
Trayvon Martin is dead ‘cause
racism remains alive and well
in Orlando-area of sunshine’s state
where ostriches wear uniforms.
We must stand our ground for justice
when predator stalks the father’s son
then remains free to roam for weeks
while youthful prey is buried deep
for refusing to be intimidated by
a bully with a 9 mm gun
as the rain poured down
on nowhere else to run.

People, who can be trusted are very important,
It’s so difficult – being reliable person in life.
Always those who are kind have to go through discomfort,
But without them world wouldn’t be light and bright.

A thousand steps walking a crooked fence
Meanders across a craggy rock strewn field
This boundary only makes little sense
A clumsy border to keep one's eyes peeled
Tufts of grass ring the badly cratered ground
Jagged shards of twisted steel lie in rust
Only a monstrous waste of life be found
Threads in between the warring tribes of trust
If only glory could walk a fabled past
Across a barbed and razor sharpenned wire
Would anyone give hope for peace to last
A much better reason for a cease fire
When borders cease to create a barrier
Indeed the whole world becomes merrier

About this poem:
Inspired by Kickit's openning line...which happenned to be fortuitous
pentameter for my fav sonnet style....my poem envisions a disputed border fence as a symbol of mistrust....

From my first waking moment
To the moment I drift off to sleep
It eats at my insides
Like a gnawing rat in deep
Throughout the night I toss and turn
Beneath my cardboard shelter
The cold it seeps into my bones
To battle with my hunger
The colours of the world reduced
To this blackness called hunger
What would I give for one good meal
My soul I'd sell to the devil
My world reduced to black and white
No reds, greens or purples
No pretty colours do I see
Just blackness that is my hunger
