The forgotten generation!

Life is Life, with all it"s bending,
no matter what ever it is trending
Starting with the hardship all,
freedom and survival as the goal.

There was no more than your self,
and nobody there to give you help.
All you had where your hands,
and in the hourglass running down sands.

Day out Day in,working with no end,
all you made,in Trains you had to send.
The payment was of reason wrong,
that made the cry, your evening song.

The sacrifice broke down on your Soul,
but proud as people, you still kept it as hole.
From left to right, you work together,
your Fathers land could not be given to whoever.

But one Day the Sun was shining bright,
that was when the last Train went out of sight.
The seeds of better Life had been sown ,
with hopes of never apart to be torn.

But as the Life is always going to be,
without lessons we forget and can not see.
The sacrifice of People brave in past,
have just gone down the drain to never last.

Respect and care for older generations are not there,
they are only burden,no matter even left in tear.
Once they walked trough the hardship, for people all,
still as forgotten generation, the hardship is again as call.

About this poem:
This Poem is about the old generation in Finland, about the People, that faced the war against Soviet Union and the next generation, that is my generation.....we did not start the war,but in the end, they made us Finns the war criminals and they took a lot of Land from us and also we had to pay almost an impossible amount in products, what we was sending with trains to them.
We had no choice,as our independence was on stake....12 to 16 hours every day,the food we got with coupons only.
We had to put up a completely new industry and thank's to USA,they lend us Money,we was able to do the task.
When the last Train went over the border to Soviet Union,we knew, that we had done it and we was a free country and in the same time we had available a heavy industry and we could export and make big profit after that.
Finland rose like a Fenix from the ashes and in the next 10-15 years with still hard working People we we made one of the best Countries in the world to live in...we just made it to the top.

But little by little, the younger generation, that did not know and did not care about the hardship we older generation had gone trough, just start to destroy the fruits we had done for them and in these days, there are almost nothing left of the brightness from before.

All to that, the old generations are now retired and many in old peoples Home, where children have forget them almost completely....many retired people live with a daily porridge and forgotten by them self....all to that, in the old Peoples home, the more weak one are left in alone in the bed for 5-6 days in their own urinate and excrement ....nobody really care about them and one lady show in public how her Father had about 2 inch long nails on his foots.....she also told, that she had change him to different homes several times and in every place, there have been no care.

When the Refugees came in,they was giving good food and care, but nobody care about the old People.....they collected Phones, computers and good cloths for the Refugees, but the Old People live with so little social support, that many of them don't have any Phones or for sure no computers....in fact it is so bad situation, that every time I hear about it,I"m in tears.

These old People, that faced the almost impossible hardship in the war and soon after that,is again in the end of their life facing similar almost impossible hardship.....many People support heavily the Tomcat refugees, that have run over the border to Finland and when I came up with the opinion in FB,that they should also help and support their own old People in their horrible situation, then they cut me out from their friends list.
This is why this Poem realized it self from my Heart and it is telling how I feel about the Fate of the,"Forgotten Generation".

In search of my heart...

I spent a lifetime in search of meaning,
Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going? Who am I?
I delved into many of the sacred writings of the world,
I spent years practicing various modalities such as prayer, meditation, introspection, fasting, even,
I spent many years in the various temples of the world,
I searched in thousands of the world’s books,
I earned university degrees,
I spoke with many of the world’s wise, I listened to their thoughts,
Next, I tried the world’s ‘foolish’, I listened to their thoughts, lest, per chance they had the answer,
I counselled many, and received counsel of many,
I travelled far and wide,
Always in search of meaning...

I have seen birth, I delivered two of my daughters with my own hands,
I have hosted funerals, lost father, mother, wife, granddaughter,
I have loved, and I have hated, and I have been loved and I have been hated,
I have great friends and I have great enemies,
I experienced want, I experienced plenty,
I dwelt in lushness, I was born in the desert,
I have been in wars, I have known peace,
Been up, gone down,
Always in search of meaning...

So far, meaning eludes me,
I have come to the conclusion that only I can give anything meaning,
And, “Boy, do I struggle with that...!”

Finally, I draw comfort from the old proverb:
"If you cannot find a temple in your heart, you'll never find your heart in a temple..."

Grafitti

Tagging is what I do
I got a can a spray paint just for you
I want to make my mark everywhere I go
You say vandalism, I say so!
I got tattoos all over my skin
I want everyone to know I always win!
It's on the library in your city
It's on the train cars you don't pity
It's on the bathroom stall
It's on the buildings by the mall
I have one that was never painted over
It won't be washed off
You'd have a better chance of finding a four leaf clover
It's kind of like my long hair
Where you see graffiti
You find people who no longer care

About this poem:
I was watching 187 with Samuel Jackson. Just stepping into the shoes of some of these teenagers who feel the need to spray paint on public buildings. I just found some on the library here in town today.

Our Generation

When we are old
wrinkled and crippled
with one foot
in the grave
destined to a house
with a room
where we sit
stareing
at a blank screen tv
while on our knees
we dribble
as our fluoride calcifide brain
decays to the last stage
before our posioned lungs
noisely sucks in
the last breath
of dirty air
as our ignorance
slowly fades
will it only be then
that a single
regretfull tear
will slowly travel
though the canyons of our corrupted face
when at last
we finaly understand
it was
our generation
that created this place
where honesty is batterd
day by day
while the skeletal minds
of our children
reap all
that we have sown
does it hurt
now that you know
that denile
was never your friend

Roe vs Wade: 43 years ago

Roe vs Wade made abortion legal in the USA
What can I say?
Well I have to say it is wrong
To kill a baby because you don't want it to belong
If you don't want the responsibility that comes with romance
It's quite simple: keep it in your pants!
You may say, easy for you to do
Nobody wants to have sex with you
All I can do is give my opinion in what I believe
If you want to have unprotected sex then you just may conceive
A baby that will take a lot of your time
And certainly it will cost many a dime
So instead of abortion, here's another option
You can always choose adoption

About this poem:
This is certainly a touchy subject. I just believe that we need to protect the quality of life, especially protecting those who cannot protect themselves, no matter what the age.

Borrowed Money

Can I borrow some money?
I will pay it right back
Just right now I lack
The funds to pay my bills
Seems I spent too much money on too many thrills
I ate out every meal
I smoked a pack a day
I forgot to save for a rainy day
You see I believe in living in the here and now
The past and future, I don't know how
You can worry about such things and take away from the fun
Of living in the moment and life on the run
So it seems I'm in a pickle
I don't even have a nickel
So please don't think it's a crime
If I borrow a dime
Or more because of the wisdom I lack
And don't be surprised if I don't pay it right back
So call if you want cause it's no use
I will just make up an excuse

About this poem:
I got a call from a family member wanting to borrow some money. I don't lend money to anyone for the trouble it causes and the peace I get to have not worrying about unpaid loans.

Powerball

If you have a lot of luck
For just two bucks
You can win over a billion dollars
You will win and holler
Goodbye crappy job!
Hello steak and lobster!
I think I'll buy a porche or some other expensive car
I'll fly to vacation spots near and far
I'll shop till I drop for crap I don't even need
I'll feed and feed and feed
I will never again be in need
I can afford to see a dentist or a doc
My doors I won't have to lock
Cause if they steal all my stuff
I know I can go back to the bank where I have more than enough
I will finally be happy all the time
Not having to wait till after I have been given my dime
Free at last, free at last, I will truly finally be free at last!

About this poem:
The powerball got up to 950 million dollars Saturday night, but didn't go out. The odds of winning are 292 million to 1. It will be picked again on Wednesday where it is supposed to reach 1.3 billion or more. My ticket had two matching numbers. You need three number to get four bucks.

Greece

It happend
there
one mans view
a little freedom
so we could
choose
it happend
there
when the children
broke
the ones
who held the guns
it happend
there
when modern freedom
nearly begun
to bring our loved ones
into the sun
it happend
there
when we told our children
it has finally begun
a little freedom
under the sun

Thin skin

It is
when we allow
the broken voices
that whisper
inside our head
to grow twisted roots
under our thin skin
of common sense
that slowly strangles
our sense of pride
of being
what we try to hide
forever chained
behind a mask
where our tears reflect
our childrens pain
for not being
what we claim

Though the maze

Through the maze
of uncertiantys
through the pain
and the fear
through the valley
of broken promises
and the friendships
they wear
on the banks
of wishfull thinking
with MY bridges
burning clear
I slowly
start to wonder
why
am i here
