South Sudan

I looked up the poorest country in the world
It is South Sudan
It is located in Africa
I think of the homeless here
They are poor too
I saw a homeless person looking at the menu in the Hardee's drive thru
I'm sure he has access to food at the food bank
But
I know he would rather have some good food
Then there was the guy living in his car parked by the library
I wonder if he was hot as a car can get really hot on a summer day
Then I think of Elon Musk, the richest man in the world
Is it fair for one man to have 254 billion, and another to starve?
They say it is easier for a camel to pass thru the eye of a needle
Than for a rich man to enter heaven
I'm sure with his wealth, Elon will just make a bigger needle

Customer Service

I used to work at Hardee's
I marveled at the girls who gave great customer service
Even to those who were rude at times
I wonder if these trying times have made customer service go down
I got some bad customer service this morning
I wanted eight chocolates picked from the counter
She wanted to give me a box, which is not as fresh
I told her about three times I didn't want a box
Till she finally realized I wasn't giving up on my original request
I left there pretty steamed, but I got what I had asked for
I see this petty treatment all over
At work, it clouds my day
Managers who just want to make a quick buck, and don't care about you
People like Jeff Bezos who only care about space travel and not workers
It comes down to actually caring for others
Because I can eat at home, but I go out for some love with my morsels
Looking for that one person that gets it
That really wants to give me great customer service

About this poem:
I have been complaining about this issue my whole life, from my nonexistent family members who don't want to be bothered, to the voters who vote for people like our current blunder, I hope he's ok after his fall on his nonpolluting bicycle.

That is what I paid a gallon for gas this morning
I figured I need a full tank to go to WI Dells
So I got three gallons to fill my tank
With my better gas mileage with my Chevy Cruze
I get about 34 miles to the gallon
My three cavaliers I had from 1994 to 2019 got about 25 mpg
So this trip will cost about 28 dollars in gas
Back in 2004 it would have cost about 12 bucks
How high will it go?
I drive 21.5 miles to work each way
I also put about 18,000 miles on my car each year
This year will be more as I'm taking a trip down to Texas thru Arkansas
If it goes to six bucks a gallon
It should take about 450 dollars
I seen a sticker on a pump on May 6 when the gas was 4.09
It has a picture of Joe Biden pointing
Below his pic it said "I DID THAT!"

Russia against Ukraine, 2nd entry in Yankee's challenge

Ukraine was the subject in the year 2014
NATO did a lot of convincing and planning
closer and closer to Russia was the plan
and so the conflict has begun

2016 Trump in the US got elected
he assured peace all over the horizon
as a matter of fact now we know
no war or invasion took place in his reign

2020 the democrats stole the election
the puppets installed stupid Biden and claimed they won
look at him, what a senile pathetic old man
and so Russia attacked Ukraine again

here we are so anxious as to what's next
will Ukraine prevail or get blown into pieces?
in the meantime victims are dying
and the world just watch don't do anything

I'm thinking WW3 has just begun
it seems to me, we'll never really learn
humanity is doomed again and again
ah greed and power it always win

wake up I say, let's do something
we'll unite our vigor and strength
let's fight these fascist and socialist
let's pray to God that this will end.

About this poem:
It looks like there's no end to human sufferings because of power and greed

There's a presentation of Dr. Wendell Meirshuemer explaining why this invasion happened

The wounded ape...

Long and hard has been his walk,
From lush valleys and verdant forests,
To the present-day concrete jungles,
Hell-holes, all of them...

Many have been the grievous wounds the ape received,
And continues to receive,
As he marches on to his nadir,
The almost-darkness that has befallen,
Homo sapiens, sapiens...

From the first bottle of milk his tender lips embrace,
To the first apple he sinks his teeth into,
To the first steak he devours as a proud and hungry young man,
He is wounded by hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and insecticides,
The assault continues with the irradiation of food,
And now, he faces a new nightmare,
"Frankenfood", otherwise known as genetically modified ‘food’ fit only for Mary Shelley's character Frankenstein and the monster he created...

Let’s also not forget the deep and almost incurable mental, emotional, psychological and spiritual trauma,
Inflicted on him by a desperately black and dragon-hearted group of nth-degree satanic beings, hell-bent only on worshipping the almighty dollar and multiplying it by spilling the innocent blood of all in sight...

On the beaches, in homes, in restaurants, I watch in utter despair,
As once-beautiful, healthy babies now in their middle ages,
Have been turned into unsightly, obese and disease-ridden blobs of rotting flesh,
Ripe pickings for a brutal ‘big-pharma’, dedicated to anything but natural, vibrant health,
Interested only in the obscene profits to be made from milking the savings of fear-laden, injured souls, seeking some relief from their many wounds,
By peddling them toxic products, designed only to mask the symptoms and cure... nothing...,
Fattening the already bloated purses of Wall-Street sharks...

The wounds are endless, for both the male and female of the species,
School, false higher education, society and trendiness, banksters, credit cards and mortgages, taxes, prisons for profit, etc., etc. ad nauseam...

Will the wounded ape ever receive lasting healing...???

Truth v Lies. (Yankee Challenge)

We see the lies in smoke filled skies
That fall down on Ukrain,
In frightened youth we see the truth,
They're tears are molten pain.

How deep the lies in Soviet eyes,
They know not truth or peace
For power and greed they pay no heed,
To cries of war to cease,

But in that zone they're not alone,
We've seen it all before,
The Nazies and the Serbs still have,
A lot to answer for.

How many more must die in war,
And rot in unmarked mud,
Before the warlords realise,
The cost is paid in blood.

As Shakespeare said from his death bed,
"To thine own self be true,"
You won't be false to any man,
Nor they be false to you."

War. For Yankee's challenge

war the game of power,
the toy of the greedy ones
it's vicious and heinous
it annihilates mankind
history witnessed this atrocities
but man never learns

why?

here are some causes
I know there sre more
but the popular ones
they're hard to ignore

some say to reduce population
some say it's for fun
what's with all the profits
from selling nukes and guns

ah..what about the people
did they die in vain?
or were they just poor victims
and simply forgotten?

well here we are again
with Russia against Ukraine
much like always
nothing ever change

victims here and there
refugees everywhere
would you be so kind for them
and say a little prayer?

now I can say more
but I feel distressed
my heart is bleeding
and yet I am helpless

one thing I can say if I held the key
I would stop this madness
make this world safe and free
for you and me, and the whole humanity

About this poem:
I have written so many poems about war.
They are all in abstract forms.

This is one of the only rhymed piece I have done.
I hope it gives a clear message how brutal and heinous war is.

Deja vu. (Joining Yankee"s challenge)

The radio screaming in the squares,
Hypnotists in the public service,
Reports of stormtroopers
On Christian friendship,
A morphine addicted
At the entrance to heaven.
Later all of them flew downhill,
Listening to measured sounds;
Those who were hypnotized
And those who just slept.
An eclipse of mind
Reigned in the country.
The earth revolved in its orbit
But the conscience,
Lost by the country
Will not ever return
Again….

angry voices

A while back I posted a blog titled "To Dream". It drew a number of responses but few words were shared on the original theme of the entry which was that all peoples are valuable, important, and loved. I blame myself for that as I opined on the conduct of the U.S. over the years which led to the muddling of the issue of who were the victims at Mumbai India. A heated debate began on the causes of terrorrism. Folks arguing politics on a blog. Tempers flaring. Fingers pointing blame. Patronizing tones. Name calling. Insults. Hurt feelings.
One friend remarked to me that I had "opened up a can of worms". I shan't jump into the fray, however, I would like to share my thoughts on the matter. I believe that we must say what we wish and share that platform with all voices. Only true discourse aids us along our journey of discovery and is our only hope of lessening the gulf between us. Too many folks seem bent on finding someone or something to blame. Thus avoiding any responsibility to help solve problems and trying to find possible solutions. With their excoriating tones they only exascerbate divisions already in place, exasperating the problems moreso. I think that we should allow and encourage all to air their views. We can learn and perhaps somewhat understand the others viewpoint. If lucky, maybe we could arrive at a small compromise. We are all humbugs to someone. It just depends on who's seat you're in. It may be prudent, for those that question the character of people from different backgrounds, to remember the old saying "walk a mile in my shoes". Subjectivity reigns. There will never be human synthesis. We're all individual. People don't always have to know who or what caused a difficulty to find a workable solution. We must never lose sight of our common bond of humanity and of our love for one another. The only people you should want to get even with are those who have helped you. Most world leaders share the same bed with the moneychangers, as in they use their power to further their own ends. They are the true helmsmen that steer the vessel of international policy. It is never they that have become burdened in debt. Nor has any of their own blood been spilled in their glorious crusade. No, it is always the common citizen who pays the price of filling the purses of those at the top. We've become lemmings fed on propaganda and led by patriotism. As we all know, time is the healer of all wounds and usually must be given its' just due before true enlightenment showers down upon us soothing our damaged hearts.
We need a hard rain...

Truth is the Greatest Prize

We had our moments
Some good and some bad
Could we share a future
Against a world so mad
You and me were glad

Can we rewrite history
The one that got away
Is peace such a mystery
To hide what we betray
Can we catch a future

Where once was such hope
Peace that would last and last
The world too tired to cope
We were all so hungry
Coming out of the cold

Now we all must realize
Our future is really not ours
When all our freedom dies
So beware of all the lies
Truth is the greatest prize
