Making my life...

To live or not to live,
That is the only question,
Yesterday I spent all day in hospital,
Not unusual, but this time, I was the patient,
They settled me in a nice quiet corner booth, yum, loved it for what I had in mind...,
In the booth next to me, a young woman was being given emergency treatment for a heart attack,
Across from me, a man with acute appendicitis was moaning not so softly, whilst they attached all kinds of IV’s to him,
I love hospitals,
I especially love going to visit my friends and ‘others’ at the psychiatric ward,
Their antics are hilarious,
I sometimes feel they’re the only ‘real’ characters on the Shakespearian worldly stage,
I go to hospitals betimes, to rest, to think, to cogitate, its odd, but you can go into a nice deep trance in an atmosphere filled with urgency if you know how to,
At one point I was awakened from my spell by a woman screaming in agony, and the cries of a newborn braving this world,
The screams subsided and pleasant chatter ensued amongst the excited family members[mom doing just fine...],
I sent them much love and welcomed the little one to our dimension, and, promptly fell back into Hypnos’ deep lap...,
They took six hours to get to me[just as well I needed the rest...],
By then, I had had a glorious sleep and I felt not only much refreshed but healed as well...,
Your analyses and X-rays show you’re as healthy as a newborn Doc, was the verdict,
Of course, by that time I knew it,
But smiled gratefully anyway,
I thanked them all for their graciousness and went on my way,
A new man,
Ready to face another decade or so, that’s how rarely hospitals see me for me...

Thus, I sculpt my life,
Moment by moment,
I do my best to forget yesterdays,
And not to dream of tomorrows,
After all, is there any other moment other than now???

Born Free with My First Breath!

Born free; I was with my very first breath
onto a path that progresses through death,
rendering my mind with language and the arts
nurturing my inner child from the start.

Free to choose my way, and then to choose the right
Remembering innate knowledge of the blue light,
entry and exit this portal; mine own choice
even if society decides whose voice

was not to be heard by patriarchal ears
intent as meant and said without deep felt fear.
Tumultuous path for seekers of the truth en route,
humility keeps us strong no matter the amount

…of…

maniacal laws, negative energy
yielding no obedience from you and me.

For we really were Born Free with our very first breath
intense, italicized carried from cradle to death.
Reiterating these words to all who try to enslave
sexuality, brain washing and suppress in caves
truth and answers we all need to discover in waves.

Burning divine light out before it begins
reversing the psychic damage deep within
every bend and curve in the river and path
anchored to our spirit like ball and chain stacked.

Together they wring us in fear and poverty.
However; with our first breath, we truly are born FREE!

Adapt or Starve

Give me the power to undermine the qualities that restrict the growth of self. Walk away, its over...here stands a new machine.

Endings are the only beginnings from now.
Time waits for no one but i will live forever.
Enter the void...

Everythings real, congruently relevant,
speak up and satisfy our minds.
Project the past, ingest the future,
convert your feelings until the sensation is right.

Everyone tells me i blew it but what they dont know is i knew it.
Two steps ahead of no one i am the king of the world unkown,
to you its a reality full of hostility.

Ive tasted it before and ill swallow it again.
You pushed me too far toward the end.
If theres no end then why do you fear it?

Its evident that your analysis is critical,
of the hypothesis, it never was ethical.
Sample the nerves of the system that keeps them at bay.
In the end youll conclude there will always be a way.

Keep your input open and your output shut.
Download all you need and severe the link......

About this poem:
This is about all the events in life that happen that are out of our control. If things didnt go your way then you have to take action to either adapt to the situation or take steps to rid yourself of the burden.

My original intention when i wrote this was to come off as aggressive and fed up, but ive learnt not to push too many powerful feelings across to the reader and let them substitute their own.

United Nation Snow Creature Council (UNSCC)

The near-extinction of snowmen and snow women and animals across vast expanses of their former range and its habitat has raised serious concern about the negative consequences of climate change. By the petition and listing process for the prevention of extinction of these snow creatures such matters will soon become the focus or public notice, comments, and judicial review. The eminent species survival and recovery of snow creatures will examine their critical habitat, recovery plan, ‘no surprises’ rule, and ‘safe harbor’ agreements including the establishment of experimental populations. The large fossil burning corporations found responsible under this new listing shall bear the cost for this recovery effort through penalties and use of money received through violations of the Endangered Species Act. The United Nations Snow Creatures Council (UNSCC) along with the International Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (IOAA) will administer this effort.

There is the present or threatened destruction, modification, or curtailment of snow creature habitat caused by the over utilization fossil fuels for the commercial, recreational, scientific, or education pursuits which must be curtailed at once. . These species are declining due to the invariable effects of global warming which must be reversed by the world economy chilling out above and beyond the inadequacy of existing market driven energy consumption sectors and their existing regulatory mechanisms.

The penalties for violation to these listing are different degrees of violation with the international laws under the jurisdiction of The Hague. The most punishable violations can be a maximum fine up to $50,000 or imprisonment of one year for each violation served in an arctic cave with no clothes. Countries who are net exporters of crude oil will be held accountable for their contribution for global warming by the amount of energy in unit terms and payable to those regions of the planet most affected. The whole scope and purpose of this law is for the redistribution of ill achieved gains through unscrupulous profits used by said member violators for their own political and economic gain at the expense of indigenous populations of snow creatures worldwide. Set before this council April 1st, 2012.

Love Child

A world unknown since the dawn of ages
Lays deep in the hearts of the truly wise
The truth revealed only in small stages
Perfection approached over swirling lies

What's more to love to surrender oneself
Falling into the arms of another
No piercing arrows of a little elf
For passion's fire despair will soon smother

Simple truth reflected in our nature
We must nourish a gentle loving race
A baby will cling to life we nurture
A time hard for our memory to trace

The value of every human life
Is equal in a world devoid of strife

Real Men of Courage

Here's to you George W Bush, you were smart enough to lie so your buddies could get rich off a fake war.
(Saddam has weapons of mass destruction)
You knew that the United Nations would never support you and the French were a bunch of limp wristed wine sippers.
(Call them freedom fries)
So here's to you Mr. President, keep the war going, what do you care, you're out in two years anyways.
(Keep on smirking)

About this poem:
This was written in 2006. It is a parody of Budweiser's real men of courage. There are a bunch of different ones. One of my favorites is the Taco Salad. It's a salad isn't it.

you & me

All things great and small, we may never see them all. Just hard to comprehend the unseen forces from within. It scares, traumatizes us, and hypnotizes...
This crazy world we live in. How could it be, to precieve its just you and me.
C'mon let's keep it real, the government continues to conceil. All the fears of the unknown. They no what they condone!!!
There's no proof!!! Thats what they say, i see proof around me everyday!!! Look around wake up and see, is this real? Or fantasy.
Hidden secret test, symbols to, signs de-coded nothing new.
the things we eat and what we do all controlled, by you know who.
Products we use everyday, contributing to there curupt ways. They say we need this to survive, filling us up with convincing lies.
Others suffer at our hands, unknowingly we give them supply and demand!!!
If you dont believe, or agree. What has this world come to be.
Companies that deceive, taxes, politicians and there needs. It's a mental chain, you see!! we cannot break free. We conform thats how its gotta be.
In this great land of oppurtunity. Its all about gluten and greed. Try and channel your positive energy, but just remember it's not all about you & me!!!

Grace...

‘...disposition to or an act or instance of kindness, courtesy, or clemency...’

Only a fool thinks he/she can grant kindness, or clemency to anyone, but, courtesy, yes, that we can give away all day every day!

To defer to her when you don’t have to,
To not turn your countenance away from her in her time of need, even though you want to be alone,
To smile with her, when you’d rather embrace self-pity,
To be a receiver of her Being,
To embrace her ‘boredom’ when you’d rather be embracing your sense of adventure by sneaking up on a lion in the bush, for example,
To laugh at her pitiful ‘jokes’, instead of snarling,
To caress her when you’re so doggone tired,
To listen to her, I mean really listen, when you’d rather be downing a scotch to drown your stress,
To sink deeply into her eyes when you’d rather be sinking deeply into your favourite TV show,
To agree to take a walk with her when you’d rather take a nap,
To appreciate her world when, frankly you just want to totally escape from the world,
To be with her, I mean really be with her, with all your presence, with all your alertness, with all your peace when, frankly, you’re asking yourself:- ‘isn’t it my time yet, I’m so tired of it all...?’
To give her a truly grateful smile for putting up with you, when frankly, you would not give yourself the time of day...

Grace..., it’s such a wonderful concept...

O Gentlemen

O Gentlemen

It is your blood or theirs,
It is the human blood after all.
War may go on in the East or the West,
It will bleed the peace of world, after all.

Bombs may fall on homes or on outskirts,
They wound the spirit of life after all.
Our crops may burn or theirs,
The famine will kill humans, after all.

Tanks may move forward or recede
They tear open the Earth after all.
Be it the victory of war or the mourning of defeat,
Life sheds tears on death after all.

So, O gentlemen!
It is better to end the war.
In the courtyards, yours and ours,
It is better to keep the candles burning.

Trapped

Trapped I am, trapped I've been,
Trapped again like you never seen,
Dead end job, nine to five,
I do what I can to try to survive.

I'm working class I'd always thought,
Better yourself I was now being taught,
Better yourself and you won't look back,
Gain new knowledge that you know you lack.

They never told me of the price I'd pay,
Losing friends as I moved away,
Away from all I was sure I knew,
Insecure I rapidly grew.

I don't know where I now belong,
For what felt right sure now feels wrong,
For working class I've had too much school,
For academia I'm just a fool.

For a better life I got a fleeting taste,
But as time moved on I've been laid to waste,
My life's imploded like shattered glass,
Who were the fooling I'm working class.

It's cruel, as cruel, as cruel can be,
To get a glimpse of what I could be,
I can't help myself for I must use my head,
I fear that i become again the brain dead.
