~You~

You are the candle, loves the flickering flame
Engulfing my heart with the sound of your name…

Shine your love on this heart of mine
Feelings so deep, true and fine…

So many reasons, so many ways
I want to be with you all of my days..

Said I love you, it’s so strong
These feelings can't be wrong…

Need you forever, need you today
My hopes are for you to never stray..

Each step I take with you at my side
As the ocean is far and wide..

My love is as the sky above
Millions of twinkling points of light
Deep into the starry night..

My feelings are so deep and true
With the love I found in you..

Love interludes...

Love interludes are like pebbles,
Some are round and smooth,
Some are jagged and rough,
Some are warm and sparkle like champagne,
Others are cold and lifeless.

Love interludes are like flowers,
Some are bright and yellow, blossoming like sunflowers,
Others are like shrivelled violets, drab and colourless and grey,
Some are red and fiery like roses,
Others are bland and vapid like unassuming, pale, off-white daisies.

Love interludes are like wines,
Some are soothing smooth and satisfying,
Others leave you with a rampant hangover,
Some are full and mature and satisfying,
Others leave you dull and empty and aching.

Love interludes are like oceans,
Some are wild and raging,
Others are soft and mellow,
Some are cheery and turquoise,
Others are melancholy and colic.

Love interludes, we play with them,
Some are like nimble sea-nymphs, pleasing and alluring,
Others are like wet whores in summer; they leave a stench in your nostrils,
Some cause your heart to explode with inner symphonies,
Others leave you feeling like a lost fart in a haunted shit-house.

Love interludes,
They are like Chinese fortune cookies,
You love them or you hate them,
Love interludes,
You take them, you leave them.

pensivity

I'm not asking if you love me
'fraid the answer may not please
left to dream
my heart still open
yet my mind shall never ease
too much thinking makes me question
could you only read my mind?
for brutal truth
would surely scar me
I fear unhappiness to find
so I float along in limbo
that's what I get for loving you
unsure of step, thought, or purpose
come on sunshine, see me through
til sleep can once again protect me
from conscious misery of day
where tenders flow
our spirits dance
painful reality, keep away
must I forever heed the warning?
is a sad heart not to heal?
will I one day welcome morning?
find your precious love to feel?
it seems so useless to continue
has my life just been a waste?
today, I'm asking, do you love me?
and pray, your kisses I might taste
should you be cold on the shoulder
with words, confirm my fears
no escape for me into the night
I'll only find more tears

Did

Did you hear my words
The ones that I said
While I was trying to direct
Our way into bed
Where you can rest your bones
And I can rest my head
After making your heart rate
Go sky high

Did you feel my touch
The ones that I made
While I was trying to explain
How we need to get laid
How much better you'll feel
If this all escalates
And you let all of those feelings
Go bye bye

Waves of Fear

In the hour of my darkest need,
I can call your name.
And you`d appear on a fiery steed,
To steal away my pain.
But now you`re not here,
And you can`t be found.
Under waves of fear,
I`ll surely drown.

Throw me a line,
Pull me out my love.
I`m reaching for heaven,
Not the air above.
Your touch is my savior.
For your love I long.
Your innocence to savor.
Your will so strong.
Throw me a line,
Pull me out my love.
I`m reaching salvation,
In the waves below.

There`s no concious need for reason,
In the paths you choose.
Fly away on wings of the season,
My piece of mind is yours.
So can you hear it now,
The crashing of the waves?
On the restless bow,
Of my ship, the sea craves.

Throw me a line,
Pull me out my love.
I`m reaching for heaven,
Not the air above.
Your touch is my savior.
For your love I long.
Your innocence to savor.
Your will so strong.
Throw me a line,
Pull me out my love.
I`m reaching salvation,
In the waves below.

In the hour of my darkest want,
I can feel your love.
Behind your freshest front,
From the depths below.
So now I need you most,
Tell me where are you?
I`ve searched from coast to coast,
Beyond the oceans blue.

Throw me a line,
Pull me out my love.
I`m reaching for heaven,
Not the air above.
Your touch is my savior.
For your love I long.
Your innocence to savor.
Your will so strong.
Throw me a line,
Pull me out my love.
I`m reaching salvation,
In the waves below.

WHEN LOVE LEAVES

THERE ARE MOMENTS
WE ENCOUNTER
WHEN THE SUN
BY CLOUDS SEEMS HID
AND WE WONDER
HOW IT WENT WRONG
SOMETHING SAID
OR THINGS I DID
SO SHES GONE
AND WE RE ALONE
AND IT HURTS
TO FEEL THIS WAY
JUST WHEN IT SEEMED SO VERY CERTAIN
LIKE THE TIDE IT EBBED AWAY
AND LOVE FOR CERTAIN PEOPLE
SEEMS TO BE THIS WAY.
ALL OUR BEST WE GIVE
BUT THAT WAS NOT ENOUGH
SO WE MOVE ON ONCE AGAIN
IN THE LOOK
TO FINDING LOVE

With your out-stretched arms....

With your out-stretched arms...
I'll run your hand through my hair,
so that I may feel how much you care.
I'll pass your finger across my lips,
and taste your soul in tiny sips.

With your arms stretched out....
So clear to see the look upon your face,
anticipating my loves warm, warm embrace.
I can see that twinkle in your eye
For your attention I need no longer vie

With your outstretched arms...
Never could I resist such invitation,
A hug. A breath. A harmonious vibration.

It would be so hard for me two face away...
And so hard to throw away your face...

With your arms stretched out.....
bound and shackled just as your feet,
just envision how our souls will meet,
I said our love would never fade.
I'll prove that here with this rusty blade.

It will be just like "what's his name" and Juliet
Shhhhh....
Stop wishing that we never met!!!

Senses

You look at me, but I often wonder if you see me,
the person I really am;
the vulnerable heart hiding behind the bristles of the hedgehog,
the soul blackened by the memories of days not forgotten.

You touch me, but I often wonder if you feel me,
my yearning often contradicted by my righteousness;
my hidden depths often so far out of reach,
revealed only though the vibrations that challenge the solid surface.

You hear me, but I often wonder if you listen,
to the words behind the words and
the rhyme behind the rhyme;
to the sounds that don’t quite make it past my lips.

I look at you, and I know that I see you.
I see each day that’s laid its mark upon your face,
each crevice a memory of its own;
your life painted through the lens of my eyes

I touch you, and I know how much I feel you.
Your heart as it beats against my own,
the grasp of your hand against mine
and the taste of your lips when I draw you close.

I hear you, and I listen
to the rhyme of every word and the word of every rhyme.
To the many things left unsaid
and those spoken through your eyes.

I see you, I feel you, and I hear you;
I sense you.
But still I wonder,
Do you love me?

Romance Comming Back ~~~~~~~~~~~

Old memories are approaching back to me
They are creating me to feel happy
Each little memory I treasure dearly
For they are about you,
a individual I appreciate ever so deeply.

In my sleepless night tonight,
I cannot seem to keep you off my mind
I want to hug you with all my power
Oh, what I would just give to have you
here with me all night long and
If it is wrong to love you,
then I just do not want it to be right.

Life is much healthier when you are around
to my ears, your name is a sweet sound
I was mixed up until you, were found
this has lifted me up from the below.

My world was so lonesome without you,
I have not noticed the emptiness until.
Everything seemed conservative before you
but now that you are, back into my life,
I see the world in a changed way

And now, all I want to say is my life is complete
Thanks to you my best friend~~~~~

today is our anniversary

Wow! Snuck in on me...us. A lotta distraction made me/us/me lose focus. 'HAPPY ANNIVERSARY' darlin'...! I love you Lyn. Golly, two entire years and no broken bones, need for crutches, nor any black eyes...Well, don't give up hope. I miss you...
Lyn and I were married at Glenville WV, maybe....2009. Us and our boy Jimmy, went to this tall building (I think it was two stories, though I have forgotten exactly what that means....), whether that means that aside from the ground floor, there is another floor above, or two floors above...well, this building had another floor above. wait a minute, what am I talking about...we never left the floor!
We went into this office and there was a woman in there. I think that she worked there. She was kinda stuck back in the corner and I think that her job there was to say as little as possible...Now there's a job that neither I nor wife Lyn could ever hold. We can hold a lot of things...our liquor, usually our promise, our children, our pets, but...our tongues? We're both fired!
Well, after a bit this feller entered the room by this whole other door that we didn't know was there. He called hisself Judge and we ain't never quick to judge a Judge...but this feller acted like he was all lost or somethin'. We were hopin' that he had entered the wrong room by accident. But no. He said he was there for us...which got me to worryin, what does he wanna do with us?
Come to find out real quick. He said he was the marryin judge and would we follow him into...this other room. Well, I had Jimmy hang back in the one room (with the lady that don't like to talk, our Jimmy can cure that), and I made Lyn go first behind this character, tellin' I'll watch out no one sneaks up behind us. We were led to the marryin post...I guess. He carried a book, but he never opened it!
I kept lookin back and forth at him and then at Lyn to see if maybe theys was awinkin' at one another. But weren't no one winkin'. I was blinkin'...and dizzy...It was like..."How the hell did I get here? Where the hell am I?" (just teasin' darlin') Anyway, this feller started spoutin' stuff and every time that he stopped, Lyn would nudge me with her knee or elbow, and that's how I learned to say...Yes.
Come to find out that just by obligin' and playin' along that after a while, I got to kiss the pretty woman to my left. I liked that and decided right then and there that because I liked that so well that we were gonna do that alot! There was no one else in the room but we three and was then that he, and his book, strolled on out. So we strolled on out...a different door, of course. I don't know where his door went. Our's led us back to Jimmy and that poor secretary.
Well, I suppose that we were now wed, and we, I, of course, headed to where I, we, needed to go...to the bank for money. See, I had been married perviously and knew the process...Love you Baby!
Happy Anniversary! Can't wait to hold you...Love, Rick...
