To That Someone Special!

To that someone special!

Would you care to walk down lover’s lane
with me?

Walk hand and hand through the pastures
of love ~

Breath in the freshness of the country’s air
as we search for our haystack of happiness

Gaze upon the heaven’s blue
Listening to harps of angel’s playing just for you

Feel the strings of your heart beating
love’s tune every time our eyes meet

Touching, Holding Hands,
Kissing lips, Oh! such a heavenly special treat ~

Evening Moon lit nights with starry eyes
Peeping down upon us

Nestling together as just one
Knowing that’s the way it should be!

I just want you to want a special one
and that special one ~ is me~

Empty Arms

Empty Arms

Life's path can suddenly leave us with empty arms
after a lover’s departure

As time slowly passes our arms cry out to end their loneliness with new born love!

The need to fill this emptiness sometimes is a fruitlessness endeavor

We search and search ~ is it you ~
Tell me don’t you need me too

I need your feel within my arms
To know that I can fulfill our dreams

My dreams are simple ~ to know that
we will be there for each other

To know that when we look into each other’s eyes
that we see tender unselfish love

To feel the surrender of further search
Knowing that we have found each other

To know now that the clouds of life will fade
and that the Sun will come shinning through

To hold you in my loving arms
That they forever belong to you

Oh! You of want, of need I desire you ~
Are you searching too

Beauty of a Woman!

Beauty of a woman

The Beauty of a woman is her inner soul

Shinning through her eyes of Love

Tender feelings of unbound care

True feelings for him that she will always be there

Warmth of her by your side

Love for you she’ll never hide

Makes her man glow with manly pride

He asked her to be his loving bride

She cared for him so much

She could hardly wait for his loving touch!

She said ~ Yes I do ~ I want to marry you

They married happily ever after

It was like a dream come true

Oh! How you wish it was really you

Love is forever, beauty will surely fade

Except the Beauty in a woman’s loving soul

If she love’s her man, he has it made ~

~ Yearning for You ~

~ Yearning for You ~

Tis a trembling heart of passionate desire
A flame of craze, of wanting you ~

I turn and look and you’re not there
I searched and searched just everywhere ~

Why cannot I find you, I need you so
Where are you my love, I do not know ~

Perhaps in the starry moonlit sky
Is that you on that shooting star that’s flying by ~

Or maybe shinning brightly in the milky way
Is where your hiding until the break of day ~

You are the beating of my wanting heart
Hold me for love to have it’s romantic start ~

Hide not from me under the starry night,
For I will find you and hold you tight~

And when I do
Then it will be your turn to say I love you~

My gypsy soul

Gathered one behind one
they came in a herd
throughout the village
wagon wheels heard,
the clanging of pots
the clinging of tin
staring I was in bewilderment
when I noticed him.

They searched the fields
for borrowed land
they settled down
gathered in camp,
daily I watched
infatuated by them
no" I tell a lie,
I was with him.

Just like the others
he laughed and danced in the night
thoughts of him chased me
followed him I did, to keep him in sight.
Unnoticed I watched
like a lurker in the bush,
unable to control
my burning lust.

He bathed in the lake
watching again unseen by him
fantasies crossing my mind
as my eyes bore into his skin.

With a blink from my eye
he was gone from the lake
my heart skipped a beat
when I heard the twig break,
there he stood naked
with eyes as black as coal
he see's and upon me
frees my gypsy soul.

The wagon wheels tins and pots
we heard come in daylight,
yet not a sound to be heard
when they left in the dead of the night.
Regret? or feel shame?
how could I not at tall
instead I'm forever grateful
to the gypsy who answered my call.

About this poem:
Today I was reminded of an old love song which then reminded me of an old poem I once wrote here years ago, my oh my the similarities, and here was me thinking I had written it coming from nowhere. Funny how things impact our lives without us really knowing it.... Mills & boom have a lot to answer for too I'm sure.

BROKEN

You found me broken at the side of the road
Dazed, confused and almost no hope
You sat down beside me and chatted a while
Then stretched out your hand and said with a smile
“Come walk with me down this road
We’ll take a few steps and see where we’ll be.
It’s a good time to live, just come walk with me."

I looked up and saw magic in your eyes
And felt a spark light somewhere deep down inside
You held my hand and dragged me along
“This is life’s road. It’s where we belong.”

I walked by your side in wonder and awe
At the beauty that is in all that we are.
You showed me the love you wanted to share,
So I walked at your side along this strange road
Learning of love and yearning for more.

I turned to the side and the path that was there
“Come walk with me down this wandering path?”
You smiled as you said “Of course I will dear.
We’ll make our own path and tend it with care.”

So we walked down that road paying no mind
To those who would laugh as we passed by.
So when we walked home the very last time
And we lay down forever in each other’s arms.

And when we were gone and the laughter had died
All they could say is,
”Where are the lovers so old and so grey
Who lived their love new each and every day.”

About this poem:
I write quite a lot now "I am Broken and alone"
and I wrote this in about 15 minutes when i Woke in the middle of the night. At the time I was just starting to explore the realm of dating. Unsure and eager. I was rewarded by a scammer contacting me one one of the sites i was on. Never the less I was flattered and this is what spilled out of me that evening when I thought that I might have received an opportunity to love again

goddess of love

asclepius greek god of medicine
cure this aching heart
with the medicine of love
athena goddess of greece
i call upon you
to ease the pain
like your sacrifical lamb
i lie on your altar
take me to the goddess of love
the cure
the remedy
through the sands of time
i call your name
pausing to say
i love you
the cure to my heart

Lament

Lament

Nostrobia!

There’s a story that the Gypsies know is true,

If your love wears your golden earrings she forever belongs to you!

Dancing round the Gypsies campfires burning very bright, gazing at the stars, thinking of my love one, dancing wildly and drinking throughout the night!

Nostrobia!

La Dee Dah Da! La Dee Dah Da!

I knew a Russian girl, I knew her very well,
Her name was Tatiana and her name tinkled like a bell!

She was my Tovarich, Budesh moey devushkoi but she is not my forever love!

Nostrobia!

La Dee Dah Da! La Dee Dah Da!

Ich bin so verlorn!

Ich kennen ein German Fraulein, mein liebe
I gave to her my heart

She left me and went to heaven, how sad!
She said we’d never, never part

Why did she have to go away?
I love and miss her more and more every night and day!

Ich bin so allein und verlorn!

I drink to the stars in heaven because I know that she will be waiting there!

La Dee Dah Da, La Dee Dah Da!

a heart that sings.........

Will you take my hand
I'll not promise anything
But i'll try to understand
What makes your heart sing

Lets open doors together
An let the light shine in
In all kinds of weather
The happiness it may bring

For as a pair we are strong
United by our heart
There can be no wrong
As friendship was the start

We may overcome everything
In the journey of two
What makes your heart sing
For me to be with you

We can climb the highest mountains
Or share the darkest view
Bathe within the fountains
Of honesty an true

Entice the flower of love
To bloom as never before
On the wings of a dove
Gentle an forever more

Will you take my hand
I'll not promise anything
But i'll try an understand
What makes your heart sing

bridging the gap

i'm going to build a bridge
a bridge to your heart
there is only one place
that i need to start
this is the single
most important part
honest foundations
they are an art
next i'll build piers of life
they will be strong an high
to keep troubled waters
from you an strife
the mud will be mixed
with the sweat of my sole
the bricks laid
love the toll
i'll join it all together
with help from my friends
expansion a quality
that has no ends
then i'll paint it
with a humourous sigh
to engage your smile
an enthuse your wry
around now i should be knocking
upon your door
with a bunch of flowers
from the garden floor
a yes would be grand
in the scheme of things
but with a bridge of love
i'll see what it brings...
