Let's Not Wait

Let's not wait because it doesn't matter
Casting out nets of unbridled desire
Drifting sparks of flickering fire scatter
Risks catching our two lonely hearts on fire

Soft as my fingertips run down your spine
Such loving touch belongs to another
Lying close and so helplessly supine
Our bodies entwined around each other

When only two naked souls seek cover
Safely beyond all that keeps us apart
Holding you close in my arms forever
Feeling against my chest your beating heart

Why deny those feelings we can't defend
What we want we can no longer pretend

Is there really any good reason to hold back and not love another human being that makes any sense at all? :)

Tell Me!

Tell Me!

Tell me why I cannot
fall in love with you

Hide not your beauty,
Do you love another

Tell me why I cannot
hold you close

Why do you hide
beneath your cover

Put your head upon my manly shoulder
Your kiss upon my lips

Do you need someone like me
that’s astute, wisdom aged and bold

I am wise and can teach you well

Make love with me
Another you will never need

We will grow closer
day by day

Tell me why you cannot
fall in love with me

Hold my hand and run away with me
I need someone like you to play

Give to me your lips and we will kiss away the day

Tell me why I cannot fall in love with you!

Lets Dance!

Let’s Dance!

Dedicated to ~

Mady, Kathy, Laura, SM, Martina, Happy Go Lucky
and all you wonderful girls & dancers at the
Connecting Single’s dance hall ball ~

I saw you a stranger sitting there across the room

Would you do me the pleasure
and come dance with me!

You looked so pretty & fancy free sitting there

You took my hand tenderly and said, yes dear, real slow

And onto the dance floor we did go

You were like a princess and as the music played

Away we glided, I had it made

My arms enfolded you and then I knew

For a moment you were mine,
and you felt for me what I felt for you

As the music played away we whirled

A man dancing in ecstasy, he had found his girl

I held you close, you held me too

Then the music ended the dance was through

I escorted you to your seat, with so much to say,

But then a handsome guy danced you ever so quickly far away!
(No it Wasn't Café')
(He was too busy drinking his exotic tea!)
Lol

The dance was finished and you left the floor
My heart flickered as I never saw you anymore

I search & search restlessly, ever more ~

Where do you live, would you care to dance life’s dance with me

I await the next Connecting Singles Dance!

Hoping that you will be there

Wanting you to know that for you ~ I could care!

Come dance with me!

Dance the dance of Life!

Poet of the Dance Floor!

P.S. I have to sit this one out
as my cane gets in the way! Lol

Cabin in Winter

Embedded image from another site

I want to paint a picture of a rather simple design
And softly place it upon the canvas of your mind
It’s hidden in a forest amidst the coldness of winter
Built by the strong hands of a long forgotten carpenter

An old wooden cabin standing solemn and still
Under the hushed white blanket of a winter chill
A distant faint crackling is the only sound heard
Within the quiet forest as the snow falls undisturbed

Interlaced with peaceful silence encompassed all around
As the gentle beguiling snow falls silently to the ground
Delightful winter dances held in a crystal light show
In reflections of a mesmerizing shimmering glow

This is a lover’s hideaway my visions descriptively imagine
With a fire of hot embers feeding flames of deep passion
A secret rendezvous wrapped up in a warm romantic cloak
My senses smell the fire in the billowing chimney smoke

A seducing hazy atmosphere fills the air with desire
Deepening the lovemaking that soon will transpire
Together as one, cares tossed and no concerns
Captured in beauty only nature adorns

Lovers partaking in the magic elixir called tranquility
Bathed in soothing love and warm sheltering harmony
Hidden in the forest sharing silence and peace
Vowing that this moment will never cease

Under one blanket peacefully sitting by the fire
Wearing selflessness and nakedness as their attire
The scene touches my mind, soul, heart and being
Sipping love that is so sublime and freeing

On a timeless soul journey depicted in this visional art
Like a beautiful love song brought unpretentiously to heart
My imagination a silent partaker of the secret rendezvous
How I dream to meet that lover that soothes my longing spirit
The kind of love born, nurtured and distinctively inherent

Wrapped in a blanket of passion that will take me to that cabin
That cabin in the woods, in the winter of our lives
A place where promises to one another thrives
The cabin that silently waits in the forest in winter

About this poem:
Where I live there are many cabins on lakes. In winter, they stand alone and solemn. This is my vision and journey to these lovely wooden cabins, in winter. Peace, love and blessings this winter season and always!

"Alone and Longing"

As I sit here writing these words to you,
I wonder if you can possibly comprehend the longing
That is flowing through my very being.

There are times when the miles that separate us Don't seem quite so distant;

But there are other times, like tonight,
When it seems no matter how far I stretch my arms,
I can't seem to reach you ~ to touch you.

How I long to feel the strength of your arms around me As they hold me close and safe.

The desire to feel my head resting upon your warm chest,
And hear the gentle beating of your heart
Is overwhelming.

It is an amazing and joyous feeling

To know beyond any doubt,

That simply by moving my body ever so slightly,
Or by softly moving my hand as it rests in yours,

I will feel the quickening of your heartbeat

As our bodies exchange private, tender and intimate messages
Without a single word being spoken.

We are together!

I'm Confessing ~ I'm Old Fashion!

I’m Confessing ~ I’m old fashion!

Where’s the one for me
The one that could be faithful and true
The one that’s meant for me

You know the kind I mean the old fashion type, the reliable one that kisses you at the door after a romantic ending of your evening’s perfect first date

Does anyone still want such a loving mate

Are you looking for the man who will sweep you off of your feet and after you trap him, eventually will take you home to meet his mother?

A man who wants you to be his alone, to be your only romantic lover, the only lover in your life!

The woman that makes her home cooking so much better than the other girls. The kind of cooking that melts food in your mouth like honey butter

Promises of things to come, intimate relations as misty eyes first touch and meet

Eyes that say I really like you and want you to stay. You really can't go! Don’t go now stay a little longer

Oh! Stop it I like it!

You better go your soft caresses are making us both a little dizzy

I gotta go, dam! Why does she have to be so soft, sexy & pretty?

Parting after the first date and longing for it to never end. Another night of dreaming, you want to die, you just can’t wait.

Honey ~ I’ll pick you up at seven

Okay Honey ~ I’ll be waiting ~

Before you Judge

Before you want to judge me or my life,
put on my shoes and walk my way through run
the streets, mountains and valleys, feel the grief experience
the pain and the joy. go through the years
I went, stumbling over every stone about which I
stumbled, get up again and go exactly
the same route on ....... just as I
was doing.
And THEN you can judge ...

Enough(a sonnet)

I may not ever be, all you desire,
I may not give you all you'll ever need,
I have not as yet worn the knights attire,
Am I then somehow less than once perceived?
So you play role of damsel in distress,
and I play him that seemeth not to care,
but with one look, one kiss, one soft caress,
remove the ill from mind and tension spare.
I am the thing you crave despite charade,
I speak a language makes your body weak,
your wish is my command I will obey,
'til valleys peak as we lay under sheets.

I am what you need no less, just enough,
'til you reach highest crest and whisper love.

angel of love

if you choose
in getting
to know me
now that in
itself one
challenge in
a half

well worth
the wait
our very
first time
i gave you
a sunflower smile
dazzling these eyes
in your space

most beautiful picture
began drawing inside
outward smiling
to you love
as i still do
so dearly
in the heart

touching each beat
within this
deep ocean
gasping taking
one's breath away
in everything
i do
i do it for you

loves angel
whisks me away
in her wings
wrapped up
beautiful in love

Eyes & Smile

The eyes and smile of a female.
can do so much for ones soul,
make your head spin and turn tail,
the right one can make your life whole,

Many men look at other things,
consider outward beauty to be the norm,
but for me eyes and smile will always sing,
too many females can cause a storm,

Those with sexy bodily looks,
Can turn many a mans head,
dont have the sense to read a book,
great to look at but not many words said,

Give me a female with eyes and smile,
those shimmering eyes of truth,
lips to kiss make life worthwhile,
for her heart to love will be proof,

Whether her eyes be blue, green or other,
smiling lips, soft, gentle and sensual,
this female will love you and will not smother,
a loving wife they will be essential.

About this poem:
What do we perceive in a female how we view them intially many men always go with the attractive look of a woman being sexy in bodily form but many of us look at different aspects first, give me a woman with soft lips and eyes that will melt your heart and whose words and feelings will make you want to cherish them and love them always.
