It can't be so bad
For you can't lose
what you never had
It can't be so bad
but why are we so sad?
The question may be asked
Is the cup half empty or half full?
when we all often feel like a fool
If it makes us happy then why the Hell
are we so sad
We paint on our smiles to hide the miles
the scars don't hurt as much after awhile
Yes they make us who we are as we place our dreams
upon a distant star
It doesn't matter how rich or poor we are
we are meeting our destiny from afar
We'll take our lessons of life and in spite of
the strife we can say we had a helluva ride
as some will stand in shame and others with pride
In the long run we will learn we carved our own fate
as we will wonder if we have time to change or will it
be too late?
So don't be sad for its not that bad
Things could be worse we are all stuck
with a dreaded curse
We will eventually get sick and die
and we will weep and cry
Not so much that we are leaving
but wonder what we will be receiving
A crown of glory or just be a forgotten story?

I am just a nut
Who lives in a hut
It don't worry me
when my wrist is cut
I don't have a need
to watch my heart bleed
I don't pay to heed
to follow any creed
So if you find me
all curled in a heap
just let me go
and watch as I sleep
I want to leave this world
So watch my sails unfurl
I'll sail away in search of a girl
She don't even exist
She's not even real
Yet, long ago we made
a past deal
My fate is already sealed
in spite I'm not healed
I don't even care what people
would think
they have their opinions
and most of them stink
My mind is made up
I will drink my final cup
If I should die before I wake
I care not my soul to take

She got bit yesterday
For a day it was ok
She washed it up and put on a Hello Kitty band aid
But I wish she would have gotten a doctor and paid
Because sometimes you need to spend some cold hard cash
Or you will slowly turn to ash
As she is doing right now
She smells real bad, worse than a sick cow
Her pink skin is blue and deep red now
As she is rotting like all dead things do
While mother nature slowly turns them to goo
I love her lots
But her body still rots
I will stay with her till the end
Will she bite me, I wonder not if but when
I miss her tender love
But with her condition I wouldn't touch her with a glove!

The wind of change that blows us
Like ash that fills the air
We all gaze at it in amazement
But do we really care
It moulds us and it bends us
But does it change us for the good
We cannot get to hold it
Or catch it in a box
That wind of change that blows us
For change were told is better
As long as your a go getter
So the wind just blow you quicker
To that certain end
For you will not stop it
My beleaguered friend
It moulds you and it shapes you
Then blows away your ashes
The wind that does the changes
Changes not a jot
The only thing that we can say is we have had our lot

when all around come to speck
when all is done, but not finished
then, the longer the eclipse last
the shorter the diamond shined
in this change of brightness
light will escape, the smoke no more
and, there, could be morning
could be night.

Her Eyes
WRITTEN BY Jennifer M. Muller
(Began August 25, 2003 at Monday 4:37 a.m.)
In the beginning he was so good.
He held her tight while making plans for a better tomorrow.
His rounded peach lips kissed her so passionately.
He loved her, adored her, and made her happy.
Her heart pounded and pounded for the anticipation of his arrival.
It “SEEMED” perfect.
But… Wait….STOP… right there!
I say this now because, that did not last long.
NO …. It did not last long at all.
Within months, her “Knight in Shinning Armor” turned into an unrecognizable monster.
He dragged her through the dirt; made her heart bleed.
“Her Eyes” were NOW blackened by her lover’s RAGE.
Her captor, made her beg for more pain and it was all she knew.
Indeed, she was made to believe that.
Sad girl she was; so sad, so lonely.
This flower; this princess was so unaware
That her TRUE soul mate was waiting patiently for her in the rafters.
This man she still knew or should I say this “sick little boy”.
Was making sure her self-esteem was next to nothing.
After, degrading her and breaking down her spirit,
He would utter pointless words that meant nothing to her now.
“I am sorry! Forgive me! I did not mean to do it!
She cringed when he touched her in “passion” for there was none left in her heart.
Love was replaced by disgust and hate, regret and pain, sadness and anger,
And yes in a way, there was fear.
She feared for her life, yet could not for some unforeseen reason let go.
She was unable to escape his torment.
But on ONE glorious day, her spirit awoke.
This was a part of her she did not even recognize, for it lay dormant.
Yet, it felt good to meet “HER” again.
A part of her “real” self came out to fight HIM,
She clenched her fists in his direction and with a grin on her face she screamed,
“You are NOT what I need!”
“You are not what I want!”
“You are NOT for me!”
“I have had enough!”
On that day he was rendered powerless.
He was thrown from the top of the hill into his own pit of sorrow and sadness.
He no longer had HER to abuse, mistreat, confuse, and defeat.
HE was now DEFEATED and she was… well… How shall I say this?
Her Eyes were finally opened and she was NOW FINALLY FREE!

Look down
You'll see a criminal
Look up
You'll see a god
Look right at me
You'll see yourself

Thunder and Lightning … Bang Bang
Your words sharper than a two-edged sword
Slice with precision and Ricochet around the sunlit room
Piercing my beating heart with each word
Whiplashing all sense of reasoning out of my brain
Trust and respect retrace their steps, slink away
Exploding memories crystallise into a million unimaginable colours
I turn to run and yet too stunned … I stay
Once unbridled joy now just an after thought
Flesh, blood, sweat and tears hurtle into darkest space
My mind’s eye stares … but cannot see …
My emotions cascading … but I cannot scream
You have decimated my very being …
And all because … you could

I need some Synchronicity
To have the possibility
Of finding out how I can see the light
The ones I want to talk to most
Are the father son and Holy Ghost
I need to know where I should be tonight.
So Christine take us by the hand
and lead us to the promised land
Of milk and honey love and light
So Nancy, Gina, Darren and Paul
Come with me I need you all
I need your energy to feed my sight.
But if you take my sanity
I'l be not where I want to be
I don't want anxiety and strife,
I want you all to take me there
I need you all, I know you care
And that's the bare necessities of life.
