Where will I be

I write my poems
With glee
Happy thought
Of what I could be

I could marry
I could stay single
Able to do anything
These thoughts occupy me
Where will I be in ten years time

Thinking I could be married settled down three kids these thoughts occupy me

MY FAMILY-LOVE UNKNOWN (All Rights Reserved)

Sixteen years of family crisis took it's toll on me,With no laughter,No love,I didn't know what a real family unit was meant to be,Searching.....Searching.....for answers though none came to me,My sanity was screaming,There ought to be a better place than here ! All i knew was tears, fear, and feelings of sadness,Listening to angry hearts year after year,Forever crying,Someone help me ! Hold me ! I need love !,So i prayed to the good lord above,I left home after sixteen years,What an almighty relief it was for me,I am free now !Yes free ! To search for my inner peace that i needed to restore my sanity and the day that i left was a whole new begining for me. Written by robyn bashford.....25.6.2001.....re edited...19.6.2011.....

~Splat~

Snowball hits the wall after flyin in curved air. Particulate snow follows it's course. Gloved three finger release in the throw, shoulder in hurt of the thrust of the throw. Ten finger pack of two hands full of snow, eyes on the target packin gloved smacks. Swoop hand in the drift in mind's target broad. Fifteen steps to the pile to get packin snow. As you sat in the chair whats to do tonight! Drag a bus a car an skid the heels on corners tight!

The Chosen Ones

For in my family there
was none until you
came into my life and
i knew I could let my
guard down and let you in.
Your tenderness and loving
heart showed me i was to
be honored with your
presence and love.
You are part of my
chosen family who
showered me with
love and affection.
May God show me the
way to where he wants
me to be and the
family I am to have.
The people i am chose
for the rest of my family.

May God bless Us all!

This is the time of year,
That most people love!
May it be so, every day of the year
Cos its when we wish everyone!

Let's all be like children!
Children of one mighty God!
Greeting and smiling away
Sorrow or hatred, strife and pain!

Let's have all this positivity
Right throughout the year!
When we will hold all close
To our hearts, in truthness!

Help us God to perfection.
To be Your perfect children!
Make You happy as Jesus did!
So let's Pray ''God bless us ALL"

"Dead Husband"

Lonely, I married you without thinking about
anything except having my own family...
Your motherless boys captivated my need to
be needed, so I said yes...
Months after the ceremony I learned of your
passion for the herb...I began to understand
why your boys were wild and knew so much
at their age of tenderness...

It was not good that they knew more than me,
especially when I was trying to be their mother...
And you, did you get the giggles toking with friends,
thinking about your wife and boys home, alone,
dying of their thirst? ...
Some of your friends made a play for me, your own
brother did once when you were fishing for Walleye
on Cordova Lake, seasoning your catch with
expensive herbs, cut first...
Years later, when I tired of you and your habit,
you married my twin, except unlike me, she shared
shared your passion until the day you fell dead
because the rivers, polluted, ever shrinking,
quenched not your burning thirst! ...

Cry now, all of you cry a river of tears! ...
Cry for the man, even though he made his choice! ...
Cry long, cry hard friends and family! ...
Cry for the man, but for his boys, cry first! ...

Anger.

Anger

I look at you and cannot see
the light that used to shine from me
when I beheld the beauty of your grace.

The love that oozed from every pore
I laid so sweetly at your door
is gone when I behold your precious face.

I ache from every wretched bone
internalising when alone
my anger at your going from this place.

When severing all ties, you swore
my grandchildren I'll see no more,
now ire-filled I am lonely in disgrace.

About this poem:
I wrote this 10 years ago when my daughter cut me from her life. I haven't seen her or my precious grandchildren since. I've obviously worked through the pain, but the memory lingers.

DO NOT READ THIS!

"Daddy?
What is that?"
"It's nothing Sweetie,
Now go to bed."

"But Daddy?
I still hear it!"
"Listen young lady,
Now do what I said!"

"Daddy?
Do you love me?"
"Oh honey,
You know that I do."

"Then Daddy?
Please tell me,"
"Yes Princess?"
"Please tell me the truth."

"I told you it's a cat,
Or a squealing mouse,
That umm...,
That cat's about to crunch."

"Be careful or,
He might just,
Just might,
Have YOU for lunch!"

"Not funny,
Dummy Daddy!
Sounds just like,
A girl who's hurt and crying."

"I told you,
You stupid little brat,
It's just that ugly fu*kin' mouse,
Screaming out as it's dying!"

"Daddy?,
Do you still love me?"
"Please, Sweet Pumkin,
You know doggone well that I do."

"Then Daddy?
Please tell me,
Why you won't just,
Won't just tell me the truth?"

About this poem:
Wow! This one is WAY DIFFERENT from any of my usual styles. It felt like I was on a high as I wrote it, or rather, it wrote itself. I just arranged the words on a piece of brown paper bag as I sat at a bus stop.
I believe the first time a child catches a parent in a lie, or observes them doing something immoral or illegal, they are very confused and sadly may even, like the child in this poem, question that parents love for them.

And now for something completely different...Is the crying this little girl heard coming from outside or inside the house? Is it her mother? Her sister?
Does she believe it could be her daddy that's making it happen. And what could this child possibly feel when she looks at him?
She asks him twice if he loves her.
