----N.O.W--

i was once a little kid my dreams where my life,
my haunts where my nightmares but i never dreamed of this knife,

i saw there was a chance for me to come true,
in my dreams i was forever werent you,

i never cried i never thought,
that i was a teacher that never had taught,
you looked at me like i was a present,

but that never came true,
i ended being your future,

and thats why i decided to see it through,
in my eyes you seemed like i was alive,

but that was my dream and now i have to thrive,
but never look back and always create your destiny as if it was your fate,

all this was my life that no one can debate,
im living in the now and thats reality,

so listen and learn that i was your child,
not a creature from the attic that was crazy and wild,

youve hurt my past but this is my now,
i know you love me,

but its changed my life i wont regret how,
but im still hurt inside as you can see,

i wont forget you but will you forget me!...

The Role of a Family

I lie in wait for what? My death, his death, their death?
I dug my hole so deep have I done this so I can’t peep
Or maybe I dug deep so I would R.I.P
Another bang another scare someone cries while another one dies
The skies a glare with red and yellow flares
Is it too late to find the God I ignored for so long to save my retched soul, is it, is it, is it?
With all the weapons at my disposal to kill and mane my fellow man, to leave his children without a father, a wife without a husband, a mother and father without a son
Why should it be me, why should it be me, why, why, why?
My father was a great man, taught me right from wrong
He taught me love was the way forward he told me that fighting was for the weak
He used to say “The stronger man would walk away” where are you dad today?
I see my father’s eyes the night he passed away fighting an unseen enemy that crept up to him and ate him away, maybe a bullet to my head tonight would be best instead of that cancerous disease that took my father away.
The lights have stopped the bombs have ceased a new day dawns it’s time to feast
So now it’s time to call back home to a wife that still has a husband my children that still have a dad
and a mum that still has a son.

About this poem:
Wrote from the heart what more can I say

My tears are enough to remind me that everything I do today is what my father wished for when he went on his way.

At Twenty Eight

at twenty eight
you moan and you groan
you think life is unfair
and has done you wrong

should have gathered acorns
and now be filthy rich
yet there is the curve ball
and life is a b*tch

now at sixty five
you look back and cry
send prayers to heaven
and ask 'why, why, why'

so go live your life
each day by day
then you look back
i did it my way

YOUR CHILD

A little precious bundle coming into your life.
A miracle that is yours to love forever.
For she will always be your little girl,
even when she is grown up.
A precious treasure that is yours to share.
May her dreams soar high and be attained.
May all you see in her future come true.

MY BABY

My baby's gone and left me.
I lie awake at night.
Is she alright?

My baby's gone and left me.
No longer to see.
Does she miss me?

My baby's gone and left me.
Tears are in my eyes.
Ain't no surprise.

My baby's gone and left me.
I wish her no strife.
Light of my life.

NATURE'S BEAUTY LISTEN

Flowing across the street
as if doing something so
simple as to take a walk.
Delighting my eyes with
the colors of the rainbow.
Music playing as it roars
into a crescendo rising up
to great you as if to say
H..E..L..L..O..
This music is carried on
the winds of the world as
it is being played just
for you.
Open your eyes ears to all
the beauty that is before
you it might surprise you.

Respect

RESPECT

Respect is something you cannot buy,
I write this poem to tell you why.
Respect is something totally free,
It comes with your integrity.

When you are considerate of,
A person, place or thing you love,
This is having some respect,
What you love you don't neglect.

Showing respect is an obligation,
To be done without resignation.
Even a person you do not know,
Some respect you should show.

We all have our personal space,
Not wanting anyone in our face.
When one's space you do trespass,
They may choose to kick your a**.

It could also be a place,
To disrespect is a disgrace.
You can respect anything,
If some good it will bring.

Those who fail to respect,
Suffer a serious character defect.
Sooner or later the disrespectful,
Always wind up very regretful.

Respect is something that you owe,
As through life you daily go.
Respect is free for you to give,
If a happier life you want to live.

Think

I think about my wife most everyday
I think about my life in every way
I think about my friends both now and then
I think about my path and where I’ve been
I think about my parents while young and old
I think about my past to busy too bold
I think about my kids and the lives they’ll live
I think about the things I failed to give
I think about the way it used to be
I think about the future and what they’ll see
I think about the things I’ve said and done
I think about the loves I’ve lost and won
I think about the time I didn’t get
I think about the adventure it’s been and yet
I think that when I’m gone I will forget
That all these things I think are all we get

A Hero

A hero can be anyone,
You're important to someone.
You don't have to save a life,
To be a hero to your wife.

You're a hero when you do,
More than what you have to.
Providing things for those you love,
Teaching them of things above.

Teaching others to do their best,
To try harder than the rest.
What they should and should not fear,
And the morels we hold dear.

Helping them to grow mature,
Living life honest and pure.
To do their duty all the time,
And to never commit a crime

Many do that which they should,
Some do not, though they could.
Others only what they must,
Those doing most are easier to trust.

You should be a living example,
Nothing good ever to trample.
If you want to be your best,
You must do more than the rest.
