What inspires me

What inspires me April 2012

What inspires me today?
Watching my child kneel and pray.
The warmth of a sunny day.
The critters that come out to play.
Friends that stop by to sit a spell.
The smiles they bring.
The stories they tell.

I Am The Wind

I am the wind that lifts you up
So you might soar aloft
Spread your wings my love and rise
And be the best you can

I'll be there should you fall
To take away the pain
Wipe your tears, lift you up
And let you soar again

My Child

For as you grow you mature into
yourself by separating from
the nest.
You go off to college and
learn what it is like to be
an adult to manage your
money and grow into yourself.
Surprisingly you find your life
coming together.
You are finally a women of your
own time for you know what
you want and you aim for that goal.
I release you my child to begin
your life anew to be the women
you always intended to be.

my heaven

Her little eyes look up to me
wanting me to see her
little arms held out
wanting to be held
a little voice calling out
wanting me to hear
a little girl standing there
simply to be mine
she watches me
and becomes my mimic
when she grows up
i will wish she was small
so while she is here
i'll paint with my fingers,
chalk on the ground
read lots of stories
chase pretty butterflies
kiss lots of boo boos
and listen to her talltales
while she is little
i will cherish every moment
as if she was really mine.
she may be my niece
she may be my god daughter
but forever will she hold my heart

family's

Family’s
Family’s are tough
Family’ do but sometimes
don’t keep in touch
Family’s sometimes fight
And sometimes cant decide
What is right
Family’s sometimes are a shame
And they play that not it my fought
Name game
Family’s most of the time
All love one other
But this is sometimes not true
With some sisters and brothers
Family’s may conceit of a large number
of people or very small
They may have different colored hair
Or some may be short or very tall
Family’s are you and me
There aunts and uncles
And nephew and nieces
But Grandma and pa
Is the people who hold all the pieces
Family’s I feel are made from God above
It was Adam and Eve,, in the beginning
I do believe
So if your lucky enough to have
a family alive and not yet dead
Pick up the phone and call them
Ask how are you, , and why have you not called
Is it something I might of said/
And try not to get mad
And hold a grudge instead
Family weather you like it or not
It what we are
Last year or last week or tomorrow
Oh I almost for got about Grandkids
They are the best if your lucky enough to have them
Oh just ask a Grandparent they will tell you the rest,,,,
Family’s

Words are important

Words are important
They roll off our tongue
Words are shared by you
And every one

Words show who we are
So tell no lies
To your wives
Men

Words are important
Women enjoy
I love you words
Or a little gossip
I have heard

Words are important
With children as well
They want to be told good job
Or in fight, a few cuss words may come out
If mom not there to hear
They just might

Words in the business world
After you both have spoken
It end in a hand shake
And you walk away in hopes
With a deal in the make

Words are important
With the elderly too
They want to be talk to with respect
And not have to say
Child I am your mama
As they grab you around the neck

Words are important
To men as well
Sometimes it the men
Who say the least but just
Use there eyes to tell
You they love you,
And will you become my bride

Words are important
As they roll off our lips
So be careful what you say
As the preacher say
The world might just end ,,,,,,today

THE WALLS HAVE EARS

September 10, 1982

These walls have cracked and settled, for many many years

Often I have heard it said, that every wall has ears

I know these walls have witnessed, each joy and tragedy

They know the lies and love, within this family

These walls contain a history in nail holes and glue

In layers of paint and paper, so long ago were new

These walls have worn the marks of artistic tiny hands

Fingerprints and pencil lead, lipstick, dirt, and crayons

These walls have served as shelter for keeping out the rain

They've guarded every smile and frown, well within its frame

These walls have made a home for all who stepped inside

A certain warmth and comfort, laced with so much pride

The cracks have grown wider...one last look around

We say good-bye with sadness as mournful echoes sound

About this poem:
As you can see, this poem was written many years ago. I am revisiting the echoes of the past today and sharing a couple of them with you. Those old poems show me my growth and are chapters of my life. We can all relate to the dust that has collected and sometimes I learn new things from mine.

grow in the Lord.
You carry on your
life to your family

you today i want
you to stay.
For i will miss
you my dear you

and mother in Christ.
Your feelings are
so sincere to me
i just do not want
