What else ..........

Just be you
That's all you need to do
Step out of your hue
And just be you

Some will want to know
Some will want to go
Only you will grow
If you reap what you sew

Never worry what may be
Life's too short not too see
You are your own identity
Be proud of that don't flee

Don't bother with the past
Look ahead to outlast
All shadows that may be cast
Set your sail at full mast

Just be you
That's all you need to do
Step out of your hue
And just be you ............

Wife

‘Wife!,' cried the impatient husband. ‘Fetch me my boots, I have friends I need to meet.’

Fetch them yourself, thought the wife, as she delivered them to his feet.

‘Wife!,' cried the greedy husband. ‘Get me food, for my hunger must be satisfied.’

You big fat oaf, thought the wife, as she hastily complied.

‘Wife!,' cried the lazy husband. ‘There’s cold beer in the fridge, I want it now, without delay.’

I should ram this bottle down your throat, thought the wife, as she set it down upon a tray.

‘Wife!,' cried the lustful husband. ‘Bring me your body, I need it underneath me until my urge subsides.’

You disgusting pig, thought the wife, as she lay down by his side.

‘Wife,' mumbled the half sleeping husband. ‘Move over, you’re taking up too much bed.’

Sleep tight, screamed the wife, as she brought the hammer hard down upon his head.

What becomes.........

What becomes of the child
Left behind with his smile
A victim of separation and pain
Will their words be worthwhile
As he walks the long mile
Searching for reason and sane
Will he share what he knows
As his angry feeling grows
Or will he wait for it to rain
Could he be more lonely and lost
Is it really worth the cost
The price of happiness to gain
Are their words rich with love
Blessed by the one above
Or is it all just a game
This could be the turning point
If his life is out of joint
How will he be able to tame
The anger that he feels
His resentment reveals
What is it ......he is to gain...........

About this poem:
I understand people will seperate for obvious reasons what I don't understand why the fallout of that separation has to be loaded onto the kids .............don't they have to be the priority here ?

DO NOT READ THIS!

"Daddy?
What is that?"
"It's nothing Sweetie,
Now go to bed."

"But Daddy?
I still hear it!"
"Listen young lady,
Now do what I said!"

"Daddy?
Do you love me?"
"Oh honey,
You know that I do."

"Then Daddy?
Please tell me,"
"Yes Princess?"
"Please tell me the truth."

"I told you it's a cat,
Or a squealing mouse,
That umm...,
That cat's about to crunch."

"Be careful or,
He might just,
Just might,
Have YOU for lunch!"

"Not funny,
Dummy Daddy!
Sounds just like,
A girl who's hurt and crying."

"I told you,
You stupid little brat,
It's just that ugly fu*kin' mouse,
Screaming out as it's dying!"

"Daddy?,
Do you still love me?"
"Please, Sweet Pumkin,
You know doggone well that I do."

"Then Daddy?
Please tell me,
Why you won't just,
Won't just tell me the truth?"

About this poem:
Wow! This one is WAY DIFFERENT from any of my usual styles. It felt like I was on a high as I wrote it, or rather, it wrote itself. I just arranged the words on a piece of brown paper bag as I sat at a bus stop.
I believe the first time a child catches a parent in a lie, or observes them doing something immoral or illegal, they are very confused and sadly may even, like the child in this poem, question that parents love for them.

And now for something completely different...Is the crying this little girl heard coming from outside or inside the house? Is it her mother? Her sister?
Does she believe it could be her daddy that's making it happen. And what could this child possibly feel when she looks at him?
She asks him twice if he loves her.

For Jamie

I looked to you for strength.
But all I did was make you weaker,
I Looked to you for guidance,
Looked to you for truth,
didn't know where else to seek it.

And so sorry, if I made you fall,
Twas not my intention,
Sometimes, when we seek to find,
We find there is no redemption.

And nobody has the reasons why,
Nobody has the answers.
The how comes or the why's,
The reason why we cry, why we scream,

Why God, did this happen, to him.
To me,and all we hear, is
What will be , will surely be,
And only God knows why.

And so we cry,
And so we scream,
Oh why Lord, it can't be,
Why would you take the only man, who ever mattered to me,
my love , my life.
My heart , my soul,
The only reason I go on living...

so sorry, if I made you fall,
Twas not my intention,
Sometimes, when we seek to find,
We find there is no redemption.

And all we're left with is
asking our Lord,
Oh God why?
Oh, Lord why,
It's too soon to say good-bye,
Don't want to say good-bye.
Much too soon, to say Good-bye.

About this poem:
When my second husband died, I think I may have relied too heavily on my daughter for strength, it was her step father, and she has always been the spiritual one.. still I wonder. what toll, this has taken on her.

For my daughter Camille, my Junior

Im so proud of you my love
Humbled by what you can create
Pleased by how you see the world
Immensely impressed by your kindness
Awed by your understanding and wisdom
Lifted by your courage and strength
In great admiration of your drive and energy to have a better life

Your endless and selfless generosity towards others
Family or strangers

I'm simply blessed as your mother

Your commitment to grow and change

And on and on

I am around you always
learning more as a student of life because of you.

You are the epitome of humility yet acceptance that adversity creates a strong character to be good in many ways.

We are blessed, your brother and sisters, your dad, and everyone around you

Specially your one and only son, my Jaxon Jaymes, I am truly humbled.

I love you

Always,

There are so many things in life that we can truly feel blessed. My children are more than one o many reasons 9 II feel how great life is.

This is a dedication to one of my daughters, my junior, my Camille. I have three wonderful daughters. The two older ones are married and settled in life. My Scottish Gran’

The kettle boils and your tea still brews
Everything I know I learned from you
The song of birds the names of flowers
You graced me with your loving powers
So long ago since I last held your hand
A little boy with his wonderful Gran
Those long walks down by a lake shore
I will cherish and remember for evermore
So I am older now and the world is changed
Been tossed around and my life rearranged
I will always know such goodness starts
With the love you instilled in my heart

About this poem:
I was so very fortunate growing up a young child to know a very sweet and loving grandmother, (Maggie), who taught me how to study nature and learn all the birds by their songs and all the flower names by the little rhymes she made up for them that grew along the roadside. She has been long gone now, but in my heart I will always cherish her.

Time

Time..will tell..or so..they say.
And what will be will be....
come what may.
Time
Waits for no man,
However it is of the essence
So,make the most of the time you have.
And...cherish...your... loved ones presence .

Marbles

Twenty nine year old Susan Vale parked her
car on this cold December morn..
She wrapped her fur coat tightly around her
neck and commenced the one block walk to
the Lee Case office building where she worked
as a Para Legal. For twelve years Susan had braved
this side street of Baltimore often clutching her
pocketbook tightly as she stepped quickly past
side streets where the homeless would huddle
and hold out a hand for spare change..
But until this raw cold morn she had never parted
with even a handful of.change to one of these
losers, a name her office associates had arrogantly
given them..
And why should she? Had not life dealt her a bad
hand? As a child her parents abbanded her to
foster homes and her anger towards God, the world,
and everything in it had kept her soul in chains seeking
some kind of closure, something that could touch the
little girl within..and say, 'Her life had meaning, and that
there was some purpose to her existence..
Today she would take a chance on generosity, on a small
act of kindness..
She reached into her purse and fished out a fistful of
change and pushed the coins into the hand of this
homeless man whose tortured lonely blue eyes could
barely mumble a thank you..
Susan quickly walked away and being a half block
away the homeless man choked with tears cried out,
'Thank you marbles.' Susan frose in her tracks.
Marbles? 'That's what my daddy used to call me when
I was five.
She turned and stared deeply into the eyes of this
broken soul and rushed and knealt holding his
trembling frame to her. Through his choking tears
he throbbed, ' I am your daddy darling.'
And Susan wrapped this cold destroyed man with
her fur coat and half carrying him to the corner
coffee shop she leaned down to whisper in his
ear.
She whispered these words..
She whispered..
Daddy..'I love you.'
