Monthly Hell

Sometimes I felt like a waterfall
Where water never stops to fall
There are times I want to cry
But I don't know why

The pain hurts so bad
Small things makes me feel mad
Pain relievers are the best
I hold it all in my valuable chest

They say hydrogen peroxide is the key
But it is absolutely not a guarantee
I don't want to stain my dress
Because that causes me a lot of stress

I can't believe I'm writing this
I just want to say my piece
I experience monthly hell
That it is hard for others to tell

About this poem:
A poem about period/menstruation from a person with hypothyroidism. I wrote it because I believe talking about menstruation should not be a taboo. I'm totally fine, just want to try to create a poem.

LIGHT IN THE TUNNEL ...

THERE IS A SPECIAL LADY
I CONTACTED ON THE 'NET
REALLY KIND OF LIKE HER
THO' I HAVEN'T MET HER YET
SHE SEEMS SO BRIGHT...INTELLIGENT
SO STEADY..QUIET ..CALM..
JUST THE SORT OF PERSON
I COULD HAVE HOLD ON MY ARM

TO WALK THE SUNLIT AVENUES
TO STROLL IN TWILIGHT RAYS
OF SINKING SUN ON DISTANT HILLS
AS SHADOWS FIND THEIR WAYS
TO SLOWLY TURN THE LIGHT TO DARK
WHEN STARS AT LAST WILL SHINE
AND A CHAT ACROSS A TABLE
IN A QUIET PLACE TO DINE

JUST SPEND TIME TOGETHER
TO SEE HOW THINGS PAN OUT
MAYBE IT'S OUR DESTINY
OR FIND IF THERE IS DOUBT
LET'S FACE IT NO ONE'S PERFECT
AND THIS SAYING IS I KNOW
THAT IF THERE IS A GLOW INSIDE
THE OUTSIDE IT WILL SHOW

SO I'LL JUST REMINISCE A WHILE
LET THOUGHTS AND DREAMS ABOUND
BE GRATEFUL TO THE LORD ABOVE
FOR THIS LADY THAT I FOUND
MAYBE AS TIME MOVES QUIETLY ON
IT COULD PICK UP ITS' PACE
OR MAYBE GENTLY FADE AWAY
AND DISAPPEAR IN SPACE

Invincible

The fruits of Life
The wealth of Love

The abundance of time
The joy of a smile

It can all slip away
In a blink of an eye

How cruel is fate
Karma is at stake

Slapping you from behind
You've been played the fool

You can close your eyes
Hide you head in the sand

But once you've faced life
You see what's planned

You can prepare yourself
Thru sickness then sorrow

Hold on to tomorrow
And maybe cheat death

You‘re invincible
But not to death
And now...
you can't catch your breath

"It's No Fun To Have A Cold"

It's no fun to have a cold,
It makes you feel all sick and old,
You itch, and sneeze, and cough and weeze,
And scratch your nose, like it's got fleas,

An acheing rumbles in your head,
And all you want to do, is stay in bed,
With tissues scattered all around,
You put your cold feet on the ground,

It's time to rise and take your pills,
So that you do not get the chills,
And warm a big hot bowl soup,
It's oh so good for you, that goup,

And when you're done with all your care,
You'll take your favorite teddy bear,
And cozy up between the sheets,
And maybe have a couple treats,

You'll watch your favorite show on air,
with popcorn falling everywhere,
And when your eyes are almost closed,
Enwrapped in blankets I suppose,

The Sandman cometh' wand in hand,
He'll take you to a distant land,
Where you'll be well again in fast,
And sickness, this shall be your last.

this poem is in 3 parts

Moment in Silence, pt1

Silence speaks clearly
in the early morning hour,
the composed fool ponders
with itchy watery eyes.
He grins when the sun hides,
keep it cloudy
hang close to dull shades of grey.
The sky,
now becomes
monochrome.

The Fall, pt2

Mock the falling fool,
laugh hard and ridicule him loudly.
Color in his pain,
black ball the name,
and
lock the door as you leave.

Post-fool Fall, pt3

See his shape go sad,
you poor fool,
wired and taped behind the divide.
A lonely tear falls aimlessly down,
the dark corner is here.

dental pain

In the chair
The paitient sits anticipating the pain he fidgets
Will it hurt he thinks to himself
As he eyeballs the drill that draws near his lips

Now frozen and puffed up to try to kill the pain
Near the drill draws near
Gripping the arm chair with fright anticipating
The pain

His palms sweating imobilised with frieght
Mouth open wide the glare of the intenece light beaming into his open eyes
The motion of the drill the burning water smell
The pain now intence as the speeding drill speeds up again

The water fills his mouth trying not to choke the nurse giggles with glee
As she clears his throat
This won't hurt she glares laughing with glee
Now unrelaxed his he

This is torture this he as to enjure
To have the perfect teeth he must enjure

Tick... Tock... Clicks the clock...

Tock.. Tick.. Lounder it shifts..

Boom. Boom. Reverberations loom.

Bang!Bang! Echoes gang.

BEEP-BEEP! BEEP-BEEP! ~ Snooze hitting sleep...

Lacked by the insomniac greeted by attack,
Chirps roaring wrath while rays rising rend..

In the end,

another sleepless night at the expense of a poem.

Hear my cries

Demons in my mind wont rest
Silence when I sleep at best
Tormenting me in the morning hour
Stealing from me all my power
Putting words in my head
Convincing me I would be better of dead
Feeding me all manner of lies
Not giving a stuff about my cries
Finally going to sleep I bid ye farewell
Free for a moment from my internal hell
