Reguiny ( 4 Phil )

What does one say to another not known?
Desires to express gratitude for all that's been shown...
England your home, in France you do roam...
A journey of words, your heart you have flown...

You've taken us places we never could see...
Describing the details in pure mystery...
From Egypt to Arabia...
To the English Lake District...
To the edge of the galaxy where black stars persisted...

Your stylized writing is beautiful to read...
Thoughts from your life put so eloquently...
You've taken on topics no other would dare...
And wrote your sweet words for us all to be shared....

I LOVE YOU MORE THAN LIFE

JASMINE; YOU BROUGHT ME, SO MUCH JOY AND LOVE! WHY WERE YOU TAKEN, BY THE RULERS ABOVE? IT WILL ALWAYS BE, JUST YOU, AND ME! NO MATTER HOW FAMOUS, I BECOME; IT WILL ALWAYS BE YOUR FACE; I LONG TO SEE! THE YEARS WILL GO BY; BUT WHEN I THINK OF YOU; I'LL STILL CRY! IT WILL ALWAYS BE; JUST YOU AND ME; AND I WILL FOREVER, PRAISE, YOUR NAME; FOR ALL, THE WORLD; TO SEE!

WHITE PICKET FENCE

Just a small wee cottage for me please
With wind chimes blowing in a gentle breeze
Rainbows of roses climbing a white picket fence
For me a mansion doesn’t make sense

With gorgeous colorful flowers around
Birds singing a glorious sound
Butterflies kissing flowers with promises of love
Oh what a wondrous place it will be above

Garden paths of precious stones shining
Dripping rubies, emeralds and diamonds
Even the raindrops made of jewels
Glistening rainbows of magical pools

Sound of crystal water running cold
Moving in ribbons of blue, silver and gold
Beautiful green lawns and flowering trees
The most wondrous sight ever seen

No not a mansion for just me
I wish for a wee little cottage please

~she has a past too~

Why did you stop her
In the middle of her say
Her heart is still heavy
That pain needs a way.

Yet you focus on words you choose not to hear
It's not about you, it's a loss that was dear.

In your love there's a friendship that needs to be seen
There'll be times when she talks, it's not to be mean.

I've seen it before, his thumbs in the belt
If you never been there, you can't know how it felt
Those cards they were given, hand has been dealt.

So take out your thumbs and open your arms
Listen to her words as you kiss away her tears
It's time to be holding, holding her close
She's there at your side, expressing the most!

bad decisions make good stories

ever notice how bad ideas make good stories
remember how you told your Mom that you'd
be right home after school but went trestling
instead with Johnny and Lawrence and you ran
like a fearful wind when the train caught up
and any one of you could've been funeral fodder

or like the time your brother swore that you
should go tell that girl how you really felt
and the red-faced humiliation that heated you
he and you laugh now and the story is great
but a small part of pride never forgets

remember how those two boys offered to take
you and Belinda and Mary Jo to the beach that
hot hot swimsuit summer day and you all jumped
into that old beat up station wagon, the blonde one
drove until the beer ran out and so did the road

recall the wind when you grunted over the rise
with full pack and half full canteen you thought
"join the army see the world" and that great
feeling of being so alive just seconds before
the sunlit flash blasted you into Walter Reed

Johnny said he knew a guy with a sure thing
but to keep quiet 'bout it 'cause...you know
and Johnny himself put up his house and
didn't even tell his wife...well ex-wife...
you shoulda listened to me back then man

we could be much worse considering everything
for the foolish things we contemplate and do
without thinking of all branches of the tree
of decisions that in twenty-twenty rear view
seem so obvious to prideful or mortal danger

in the end we reach some storied epilogue
rocking back-n-forth quietly now, just us,
you and me here, after the good laughs, and
good times, smiled tears running, why oh why
did it happen that way...i can't believe it

Sometimes love never dies

It was a cold windy night
As I turned off the light
I heard your voice call my name
I pulled the blankets over my head
The wind was whistling and whipping around
I didn't make a sound
Once again you called my name
I closed my eyes tightly
I felt you brush the hair out of my eyes
I was afraid to look into your eyes
I could feel a tear drop fall upon my face
I knew in my heart it was you
In a low whisper you told me I would be okay
Said you didn't have much time to stay
I opened my eyes only to see your beautiful blue eyes
Oh how I miss you so
Tears rolled down my face
You kissed away my tears
You took away my fears
I asked why you ?
Why couldn't you stay with me ?
Why did God take you away ?
You promised me you were in a better place
You gently kissed my lips
The winds no longer were whistling and whipping around
My eyelids grew heavy
I felt at peace
my heart didn't hurt so much
You took my hands into yours
Told me you loved me so
All the racing thoughts went away
I fell into a deep sleep
When I awoke I was alone
I thought I could smell your cologne
Was it a dream or did you come to me
In my deep time of need ?

The most precious gift

When my time is up and I'm ready to go
To a place no one can find
I'll take my chance to cast a last glance
At the past I leave behind.

I hope to see a fine mosaic
Of a million shapes and colours
Each shape, an experience
Each colour, avid valour.

I hope to hear a symphony
By the Angels heavenly choir
Each melody, an emotion
Each chorus fulfilled desire.

I hope to smell a potpourri
Of exquisite fragrances
The scent of love I'll keep with me
As my everlasting essence.

I hope to taste the moist air
While my last breath subsists
For all the sweetness will be there
Of the most beautiful lips I've kissed.

I hope to feel my last heartbeat
Fill with gratefulness run rife
For the most precious gift I have received
The gift that was my life.

I'm a Dreamer

Embedded image from another site

I dream of all kinds of things
Of Angels and butterfly wings
Shooting stars to make a wish on
Blessings from the rays of the sun

Streams of crystal clear water
Bright moon lite nights for lovers
Raindrops pattering on the roof
While reading my favorite book

Puffy white clouds in a deep blue sky
Finding romance with the right guy
Different scents blowing on a breeze
Tickling my nose tempting with a tease

Pearl drops in oysters left by ocean waves
Diamonds found in deep coal caves
Emeralds and Rubies flying on the wing
While listening to other birds as they sing

Rainbows following a summer’s storm
Bringing forth colorful flowers to form
Of all the wonderful things God has made
I am a dreamer and enjoy all His display

I see you

I see you everywhere
And yet you're not there
Faces, places.....all have traces
The silhouette lines of my gazes
Misty steam, sunbeams, serene streams
Blue jeans, new scenes, sweet dreams
In clouds, shrouds, crowds
I often call your name out loud
Streetcars, glass jars, reflections from afar
In cars, bars, constellations in the stars
The outline of your hair,
Your profile haunts me as I stare
I see you everywhere
But you're not really there
I see you on the bus
And think of the two of us
I see you in a limousine
And realize it's just a daydream
I see you in a movie queue
Stop and prey....but that's not you
I see you everywhere.... I know
Because I still love you so
Memories that just....... won't let go.
