SPRING

Each year we get to welcome the return of Spring
early morning song only bird sounds can bring
Fresh beginnings define this time of the year
vast new life blossoming and eager to appear

We can't help but get excited about this season
preferred climate is indubitably the main reason
Spring is natures alarm to all things in dormancy
alerting them to rise back to their natural beauty

Plant and animal alike commence to multiply
the colorful eye-popping blooms induce a sigh
The aroma of freshly cut grass smells so sweet
morning dew certain to dampen your bare feet

A faint rustle can be heard from atop a tree
maybe a newborn overly anxious to see
There's another letting go a whimpering cry
I'd surmise a sibling desperately wanting to fly

Spring is suppose to be conducive to April showers
natures feed to assure the illumination of May flowers
Reason we mostly look forward to the coming of Spring!
it's always symbolic to the end of that winter thing

POETRY

My hope is that some of my words ultimately help someone
I feel it's imperative a poem be comprehendible when done
In my writes you'll always find some meaningful rhyme
getting it just like you want most always requires overtime

Jelling words into poetic fashion is no doubt a bonafide art
most rewarding to me are the ones that move other's heart
My words have literally sent chills up the readers spine
inducing goose bumps and/or a tear I'd think is a good sign

Some say poetry doesn't necessarily have to make sense
"telling it like it is" has and will always be my preference
Poetry has long been the way I chose to vent justified rage
what better way to express oneself than on a poetic stage

It's very satisfying being able to convey with genuine emotion
theirs plenty more bottled up I'll let out when I get the notion

A Child's Pain

I love to see a child cry...
When it's tears of joy pouring from their eyes...
I love to see a child die...
When it's laughter that causes the dying inside...

I love to see a child in pain...
If it's just from the loss of their new toy plane...
I love the sound of a child's screams...
When they wake up realizing it was just bad dreams....

I will cradle you with my comforting arms...
Keeping you safe from the pains and the harms...
I will wash away all your pains of the day...
No matter what you may do or may say....

CRAZY FOR YOU

You made me crazy for you
how you make me feel seems new
Butterflies stir when you near
maybe love alerting it's here

Normal doesn't define emotions like this
I would surmise another level of bliss
Since being together I feel much more zeal
it's inexplicable the way you've made me feel

Like a box of chocolates you're "oh so sweet"
owner of looks that accelerate my heartbeat
Like elusive jewels you're truly a rare find
a woman that epitomizes class and kind

You're absolutely my desire come true
"reason" I yearn to wake each day next to
From you I got more than I ever dreamed of
with you I want to be forever my love

THE CROCODILE HUNTER

On 9/4/2006 a one of a kind inspiration gone long before his time
what and how it happened I can only call a truly senseless crime
The beloved 'Crocodile Hunter' taken in such an improbable way
Steve wouldn't have dreamed his demise being the barb of a Ray

An avid leader in the preservation of all Earth's creatures
indubitably the epitome of Mother Nature's teachers
His desire for doing good conducive to him becoming a star
he lived life with more zeal than most humans by far

Whatever the task his enthusiasm never changed pace
heartfelt reward always clearly visible on his face
He made us laugh, occasionally even stirred a heart-string
sharing his world with us was certainly a passion thing

Danger Danger was his job and nobody was more intrepid
no one possibly loved what they do MORE than he did
After learning their biggest fan will no longer be near
the Animal Kingdom collectively let go a Crocodile tear

I most admired Steve because like me he too was real
a true blessing and surely that's how all who love him feel
I often think of his widowed wife and the kids who lost dad
no doubt they'll gracefully carry on the vision that made him glad

It shall linger long why such misfortune came to be
thankfully we can still relive and adulate the work of he
With each thought of his passing hearts of fans and family bleed
not before nor again will their be another Steve... guaranteed

Whats important

I come on here and what do I see, beautiful faces who wont consider me.

"I think she is pretty" is what I say, "but I doubt she would talk or even look my way".

Is it those who look pretty, is that how to win? No it's just those who are pretty within.

Looks can decieve and destort whats important in life, is it only looks that you want from a wife?

Will it be looks that you love until your end or would it be somebody who is also your friend?

Look inside first and outside next because beauty inside is what you'll love best.

A love and a friend is what can make marriage work, much better than being married to a good looking berk.

Take me for instance, my looks are not great but I'd be more than a husband, I'd be your best mate.

About this poem:
I wrote this because I look on here sooo often and think of all the people who probably look at me and say no because I aint no Brad Pitt but I and everybody else does need to know that although we can always apreciate outer beauty, inner beauty is more important.

True love......

True love means to be loved
How u are.
True love means to be loved
When u are down,
True love means to be loved
When are u are blue.
True love means
Two in one forever.

An Act of Love

Ripening fruit
swells more each day
till skin so tight
unable to contain the desire within
bursts----
yielding its insides
to the sunshine
which enters her
and touches the soft flesh
- an act of love
the eternal song of nature -
earth receiving the falling rain
shore receiving the returning tide
female and male uniting
in perfect harmony
and for each
- an act of love

The Power Of Love

Love is one of life's greatest mysteries
It is the driving force
which shapes man's destiny
It is the very foundation
upon which life itself is built

Love leads
life follows
Love is a way of life
One cannot detach oneself from Love
to make a decision
for Love is life itself

Throughout the ages
the power of Love
has gripped the hearts of men
- mighty men who feared nothing
and made them powerless
to resist its spell

Kingdoms rose and fell
Armies laid others waste
and were laid waste by others
Men died in agony
at the command of a Love-infected leader
Paris and Helen of Troy
in the Trojan War
Samson and Delilah
in the battles with the Philistines
Anthony and Cleopatra
in the Roman Civil War

Love is a potent force
that sometimes makes fools
of earth's mighty men of valour
And yet this same Love
has been an instrument of good
with which nothing can compare

There are many kinds of Love -
a man for his God
a man for his woman
a friend for his friend
a person for his kin
a man for his dog
- these and many more

Though the particular cases differ
the effect of Love is the same
- that feeling which inspires and drives men
to achieve things
they once believed impossible

Many a knight fought great odds
and won for his lady
Many a man leaves his comfortable niche
in society
and goes out to endure
the hardship and pain
of the less fortunate
as he gives of himself unselfishly
to improve their state
because of his love for
His God, duty and ideals

History is filled with leaders
who tried to build
and maintain an empire
with the might of brute force
and failed -
Charlemagne
Alexander The Great
Julius Caesar
Napoleon Bonaparte
Adolph Hitler

And yet
a humble carpenter of Nazareth
who shunned brute force
and violence
built an empire on Love
two thousand years ago
and today it covers
the face of the earth
