9/11/2001

On the eleventh day of September Two-thousand one
planned attacks on American soil were successfully done
Nation's belief of invincibility instantly turned to fear
while the vile perpetrators rejoice in victorious cheer

Inhumane Radical Islam reared it's hideous head
nation and allies abroad mourn thousands dead
Terrorist are born and bred in the Middle East
so-called allies willfully harbor these savage beast

Some believe bureaucrats were part of avoidable fate
if truth ever surfaces society may angrily vent hate
All civilized nations concur terrorism MUST cease
culprits must be eradicated in the name of peace

They're convinced Americas' the true EVIL EMPIRE
desire to eliminate the 'Infidel' shall never tire
The world succumbing to Islam their end game
soulless terrorist slaughter innocent in Allah's name

Pretzel interpretation of Koran drastically blurs view
devoid of reason assures conflict can't reach through
To be so monstrous one is indubitably cursed
9/11/2001 the day remembered as our histories worst

knowledge

Truth doesn't always shine
in the rise of dawn

Nor in the smile of innocence

It doesn't light up
in the beauty of a new bud

nor reside in the purity of my heart

It sometimes crawl
in the shadows of the dark

sits in the tirade of time

dance in bitterness of disappointments

And from my sanity it runs.

My discovery
of your brutal and selfish world
is killing me.

THE BOTTOM LINE

From the outside not one has the capacity to see
inside there's hopelessness that has taken over me
I don't want others cognizant of my crippling inner grief
when it occurs the response never veers from disbelief

Perpetual indignation and excessive change is too much to face
Indubitably instrumental in molding me into a basket case
A condition not obvious induces some to question ' Is it real! '
'JUST BE VERY THANKFUL' you don't feel the way I feel

Suicidal thoughts I must deal with often is truly horrifying
it's torture having to fend off frequent feelings of dying
People "cry out" plenty in hopes others acknowledge their sign
FACT IS too few choose to care...that's THE BOTTOM LINE

WHY WORRY

Humans must live with a degree of sorrow
just knowing we're not promised tomorrow
An existence inundated with crippling grief
it seems dying is the only relief

Without mercy life incessantly pounds you
getting back up harder and harder to do
Humanity most responsible for unduly pain
mankind steadily straying farther from sane

Longing for answers to life induces stress
if we can't grasp or control it why obsess
Life makes little to no sense so Why Worry
the unknown was meant to be blurry

Answer to why we're here, there isn't one
reasons we shouldn't be are a ton

Real Life

AThumb swipped slowly over red painted lips,
smudged lipstick and parted lips, soft sighs floating to his ears, eyes closed and tears falling softly down cheeks that are a pale pink, to scared to open her eyes.

she knows when she opens her eyes he will not be there because he is not real and never will be, from now she will hold him in her dreams and not expect more.

She turns over and hugs the pillow and as morning comes the real world closes in and she knows he will be lost untill the moon shows her face again and she can again believe in a dream.

Indians and cowboys (for Jesse)

Howdee partner,
can I call you Jesse James,
a fine write you have there mister.
it's all good old name of the game!

from folks down Dakota south,
boy you got us talking all the way up north,
I ain't hinting and saying all that,
you got us where you want us, I'm just saying lad.

Now Indians and cowboys,
oh what the heck boy,
forgotten what's like those good old days,
you bring all those back with a little whack and bang.

Tis just the way we used to play,
with water bombs and toy guns,
county and woods and a rush of adventure,
bring the whole group of folks together.

by the way I've got news for you,
if you are the kid I've heard from the news,
there's a price on your tiny head,
A hundred gold coins and the most wanted!

even Billy the kid ain't tough enough,
to brush your name from tis page ,
I'll be waiting for you at poets corner,
for a western duel here at high noon.

you got your cowboy hat,
I'll bring my Indian Axe,
tis town ain't big for both of us,
its either you,me or the rest of the pack!

I'm known from tis part of town,
as Ancient Bullman the red Indian,
I've got Cafe to watch my back,
On your corner who do you have?

and when its all over,
we'll run faster than the wolves,
to take a frantic cover,
from the county famous sheriff!

they say he is Lightning Macduff,
and strike fears with his name,
always leaving behind his cuffs,
riding on a big horse log!

Good day, Ma'am is that you Miss Daisy?
Say you won't happen to know about my cousin,
She goes by the name Cherry bunny,
and she has a mighty lucky bunny feet!

Would you join me in Pow Wow?
with the rest of the family,
we'll do a thousand jumping Jacks,
while Jesse Will show you the ropes to Rodeo!

PRECARIOUS ADVENTURE

With reluctance friends enter the unexplored woods
immediately Mosquitoes try infiltrating their hoods
They suddenly become spooked by an eerie sound
as other airborne pest begin to swarm around

They commence to machete through dense brush
moving cautiously determined to stay hush
Group huddles closer while forwarding deeper
faces depict fear of alerting a Predacious sleeper

Body parts bleed from prickly scratches
shedded skins lay visible in patches
Ominous echoes permeate their ears
eyes opened wide reflect hidden fears

They turn to one another uttering not a peep
realizing they may have ventured too deep
They seem paralyzed about what to do
adrenaline gives fight to continue through

Each stare at one another with thoughts the same
let's fall back to entrance from which we came
They all scurry as their hearts intensely pound
after exit exhaustion drops them to the ground

Bear/Man

This man can be so gentle, loving and forgiving. If you're on his side then walk with pride, he'll make your life worth living.

Turn on him and he will grin and slowly start to change, into the bear who doesn't care so then stay out of range.

He will attack from front or back, this is a bear to fear. If you like your life and want no strife I advise you don't go near.

His speed is quick, his fur is slick, he'll attack you when he can. He'll hunt you down and come around, he doesn't need a plan.

Please don't let him catch you, he'll go straight for your neck. He'll put his paws around it and soon have you on the deck.

His claws come out, no time to shout, it's time to shake and shiver. He'll dig claws in and start to grin as he tears out your liver.

He can attack from front or back so always look around, because you may not see or hear him until you hit the ground.

So all I'll say is if you're in his way then be careful to think twice. Beware the bear that doesn't care and be with the man that's nice.

Best Friend

You are my smile when I feel down.
You are my company when nobody is around.

You are my laugh when I want to cry.
You are my strength when I want to die.

You are my medicine when I'm unwell.
You are my secret keeper when I have something to tell.

You are my cushion when I need to rest my head.
You are my saviour when my hope is dead.

You are my eyes when I can't see.
You are my ears because you listen to me.

All of this stuff makes you my best friend.
I hope this is how it stays until my end.

When you feel there's nobody to do this for you,
Please contact me because I'm your friend too.

Missing my boy

I miss you my son, you're everything to me,
but I'll always be here, over time you will see.

I am you're daddy and I love you lots.
Being away from you has tied me in knots.

I really do hate it when you are not near.
To add to this I'm struggling with my fear.

I'm scared you'll be hurt during a fight.
I'm scared the dog will turn and give you a bite.

I'm scared I won't be there whenever you're sad.
I know you have mum but you really need dad.

You are number one in my life.
You are the one I want to keep from the strife.

I really hate it when you aren't with me,
because you are my son and I'm your Daddy.
