Nights grow colder
Autumn in Brazil
Wordless beholder...

aviation lovin

soaring through my emotions
no body sees me, to them i am a blimp
standing tall in the sky,
providing advertisement for local industries

but i, like my forefathers before me,
dream of bigger things,
the concord raging inside of me
struggling against my blimp exterior

my engines roar
my loins burn,
i fire through the mythical dungeon,
the glistening glass ceiling finally broken
a star is born.

soaring through the heavens
she floats like a butterfly
but stings... me

she opens her wings
i refuel my concord
sweet release
we are as one

Haikus

Question not the way
I care only know that I
Will always love you.

Gazing in wonder
I stood frozen in delight
As morning awoke.

Will love you always
deep inside my heart and
ever more in time.

Poets I greet your
comments warmly and read your
fine words happily.

Haiku

Field of daffodils
brazen yellow, sun kissed
petals, brightly greet

The dawn of the day
magically the sun rises
flooding with colour

Gently the stems quake
as caught by the breeze they shake
quiver in its wake

Matching yellow bird
soars over the display of beauty
adding its sweet notes

A vision of bliss
such a simple little thing
the joy of nature

First Glance (Senryu)

Sudden attraction
Mixed with a small amount of:
A slight twinge of guilt

Coyote

coyote runs wild
across fields of verdant green
a sly cunning thief

Night of the misty moon

As the wind blows,

hearing her name,

I listen.

In the sakura fields,

"It's tonight",

we noticed.

The radiance shows,

on the

Night of the misty moon.

It's beauty glowing.

Love is forever,

As a diamond

Becomes pure,

A sakura petal

Falls into the pond

we are near.

Quiet, Serenity, Peace,

This is our place

For the night

Of the

Misty moon.

About this poem:
This poem is based on both old Japanese and Chinese philosophy, in which, is why I wrote this and because a couple months ago, the moon was looking misty.

In this poem, is a hint on how to keep balance, stability, Vitality and love for others. For which cannot be seen, is what lies from within.

The night i wrote this poem, I was feeling quite calm, peaceful, tranquil, and at peace with myself and GOD. Writing these types of poems is how I express both my feelings, and the old philosophy of China and Japan.

About this poem:
Definition of Senryu

1) A Japanese poem similar in structure to haiku, but more concerned with human nature, and is often humorous or satiric -- usually in three lines of seventeen kana.

2) A foreign adaptation of 1, usually written in three lines of 17 syllables or LESS.

Again, unless you are Japanese, have been writing Japanese, or speak fluent Japanese, you will be writing definition #2.

A good structure for beginning senryu poets is:

setting
subject and action (on two lines)
