my 1st haiku for cs
of leaf shorn from branch
before the winter

5-7-5, right?Please tell me I got it right.
But no, ... no compliments necessary.
& I probably should stop going crazy with the ease of publication on this site... (?)
But it is a real privilege, and I must be sure not to abuse it.
~ Tis Halloween Eve ~
Beware the Ghosts & Demons that crave your soul
on Halloween’s Eve ~
They seek you - they slither - they crawl
The Ghosts & Goblins swarm to have you for their feast & delight as the midnight clocks strikes your undoing!
Be forewarned the spirits of the dead, burned witches of the past crying out in the night sending spine tingling pains through out your body, rendering it raw to the touch!
Tis a scary sight indeed as a Two Headed ghoul
swallows a live screaming toad that it has in it’s clutches!
It’s enjoys unquenchable delight as he feels the toad
wiggle and slither down it’s gullet ~
Beware ~ The ghoul wants you next ~
Thy doorbell is ringing, here comes the bedeviled children drawn by the ominous glow of your door’s
Jack-o‘-lantern ~
They are not the normal children clutching at
your sugar candy & gifts of apple ducking in
a galvanized pail ~
They are the children from
the cemetery of the sinister side ~
Seeking your soul to toss it into the dark pit
of eternity ~

Winds helping with their message
"Apples are falling"
Blue Skies of Mercy
The famished one will eat them
but will find the taste
bitter.
Cold rain
drowns wind, its chill eating one’s heart
but the scent gives life
to souls.
Worn string
on harp, used near to breaking
but its note, played, is
hope-filled
always.

we would feel alright
hold each other tight
'till the evening light.
We would dance all night
laughing breathless
in each others eyes
'till the morning light.
When I sleep at night
you are on my mind
smiling breathless
'till morning light.
We would dance all night
hold each other tight

When I close my eyes
in the evening light
you are on my mind
dancing through the night.
In the morning light
with open eyes
I wonder
will you dance
with me tonight?

This is about the loss of a dance partner. She was good for my heart.
