The gnomes they're in their gnomey homes
the elves have ceased to ring
there's nothing on the radio
the kids have taken wing
Santa is a long way off
Easter Bunny's done his thing
the TV's one big disaster zone
so we just have to sing
"There's a lull in the poetry
ring-a-ding-a-ling
there's four hundred little poetry scribes
and we haven't seen a thing, Woah!"
Turning up the music now
so I can do the fling
the neighbour thinks I've lost the plot
I'm dancing in my bling
we have to get more poetry
who wants to be the King
without a little poetry
we'll just have to sing
"There's a lull in the poetry
ring-a-ding-a-ling
there's four hundred little poetry scribes
and we haven't seen a thing, Woah!"

Yours is a face of an Angel
Throbbing in my heart
Pulsating in my veins
You're the contents of my dreams
Yet too far from reality
Those vivid scenes
Just like a cloud that keep on
changing forms
The moment I blink
The moment I breath
You're like a book I keep browsing your chapter
You're like a song
That I can't finish the lyrics but
The moment I feel your kiss
I can go back to earth
Though I know you're just there somewhere
I 'm hoping when you wake up one day
And you close your eyes
You can see me there
Because I am just like a bird now
That cannot fly
When I gave you my wings
For you to live
But till now you're still unreach
And now I am starting to melt

This lost evening i shelter all unborn The fruits of all innocence I not scorn, for they be your core to your love sweetness, Now take thee hand as you i bless, All the wealth on this Flowered earth, For i do submit you to this birth, and from the Womb into the Tomb you entwine, The blissful birth of all Mankind,,,,,,,,,,you do ,

Can't seem to control it,
It hits me every time,
Even when I slip up,
And don't get something right,
It's exactly like a watchdog,
Who watches everything I do,
Don't know where it came from,
And I don't know what to do,
See, every time I'm wrong,
Whether it's my fault or not,
I get a sharp stabbing pain,
Smack in the middle of my gut
Why does this happen?
And should I be grateful?
Is it an Angel from God?
Or is it merely fateful?

Real reaction I feel when I'm untruthful, whether on purpose or not.

Her dream laid bare the African night
forest, fear and musk
beloved and woven
in this verdant meridian
The ghostly fires of the river spirits
plumes, fragrant and ancient
they are calling from the shores
shrill and elect
ride with us
rites with us
in robes majestic

A man walks into a local cafe hungry as can be,
While pondering upon the menu a sudden mystery!
Stationed all around him twas young and old alike,
Each awaiting their opportunity to dominate a mic.
Attention now at full arrest, his ears well tuned in,
He turned to a lady sitting near wearing a sheepish grin.
To her he says 'I'm new to this place, what's a goin on?'
'New indeed!' 'Tis our day for readin or recitin a poem!'
An hour or so passes by as poetry fills the room,
Poems of Wonder, Love and Lust, Poems of Joy and Gloom.
The stranger thinks he knows a poem he'd gladly like to share,
A chance for him to have his voice poured into poetic air.
The mic at last to him is passed & he proudly takes a stand,
and begins to recite from memory a poem he wrote at ten.
The audience is noticeably hushed in nearly traumatic form
When 'Roses are Red - Violets are Blue..' from his lips are born.
The quietness of the crowd, to him was awe, wonder then respect
Until a neighbor grabbed the mic while groaning with regret.
To his grinning lady friend he turned for a word of advise,
'Some can melt a heart with words but you've turned ours to ice!'
Don't be hurt that your words have failed to spark passion or fire,
Just make a note and have it with you the next time you desire...
to share your thoughts in poetic form to those more seasoned than you,
Don't start a poetic rhyme with 'Roses are Red, Violets are Blue..'!

About this poem:
Just a challenge to those afraid of venturing out into something less familiar when tempted to express oneself in poetic form.

Happy, jovial, ecstasy, bliss
Affection, passion, devotion this
Love is you and me, it’s joy
A dark-haired girl and a blue-eyed boy
Promise, potential, dream, delight
Separation, severance, parting, flight
Desolation, sadness, grief and pain
Wipe my tears, stop this train

When looking round,
Oh, there you are!
Where did you go
My precious one?
We've been alone for many years
But now we are in fizz!
In fizz of bubbles
Fizz of joy
Oh please, my love, don't be so coy.

Rain beating like a drum against the roof of your heart the dragons are yet to depart.....
Words left to be unspoken tear our minds apart....
New years unbroken yet to be made.....
The devils a waiting yet to be paid....
The fire burns but smokes with fear....
The animal is trapped yet the hunters are near.....
The nights a come but the stars dont shine.....
When in God's true love time will a heart ever belong to mine.
P.s true love is worth waiting for always.
