Amid the ongoing debt limit debates, raising taxes (or “increased revenue,” as he likes to call it) is his magic bullet for plugging the holes in America’s sinking fiscal ship. He even offers up his own income as a sacrifice, saying that he can afford to pay more in taxes “because a lot of folks bought my book.” And he tries to bring other millionaires along for the ride, like when he joked with the inventor of Twitter that he can give more to the government because his company “has done pretty well.”
The reality, though, is different. No amount of taxation would be enough to foot the bill for the level of spending the President wants. Here are a few things to keep in mind.
For starters, the wealthy already pay a ton in taxes. The top 10 percent of income earners—those making more than $113,799 in 2008 (the latest year available from the IRS)— pay 69.9 percent of the nation’s income taxes (as Heritage’s Patrick Tyrrell details here in great depth).

Mexican authorities found AK-47 assault rifles, powerful .50 caliber rifles and other weapons in late 2009 that were later linked to the U.S. sting operation to trace weapons going across the border to Mexico, the report said.

The independent watchdog at the Justice Department is also conducting its own investigation of the sting operation.
The Justice Department said it could only confirm 96 guns recovered in Mexico were tied to suspects being tracked in the operation, but it said that ATF did not have complete information on how many were recovered at crime scenes there.
The agency said another 274 weapons were recovered in the United States and, so far, about a dozen were found at U.S. crime scenes, according to information given to Grassley obtained by Reuters.
Soon after the sting began, Mexican authorities arrested a young woman with 41 AK-47s and a Beowulf .50 caliber rifle that were bought the previous day by a so-called straw buyer, or somebody buying a weapon for somebody else.
She told police she was taking them to the Sinaloa drug cartel, the congressional report said.
During a May, 2001 raid by Mexican federal police on the La Familia drug cartel, in which 11 members of the group were killed and 36 were captured, some of the more than 70 weapons recovered at the scene were traced back to the U.S. sting, according to the congressional report.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - California Governor Jerry Brown signed into law on Monday a bill allowing illegal immigrants to receive privately funded scholarships to attend the state's public colleges and universities.
The bill, dubbed the California Dream Act, passed the state Legislature earlier this month and aims at helping illegal immigrants who earned a diploma after attending at least three years of high school in the state.
Enactment of the California measure came three days after opponents of a similar law in Maryland collected enough signatures to force a state referendum seeking its repeal.
"At the end of the day, if we're going to continue as a powerful, equal-opportunity society, we're going to have to invest in our people," Brown, a Democrat, said at the signing ceremony in the library of a Los Angeles community college.
The California law is named after national legislation in Congress to give young, undocumented immigrants who have lived in the United States for at least five years a pathway to citizenship through college or military service.
The federal bill failed to win passage in December 2010, and its chances have dimmed since a newly elected Republican majority took control of the House of Representatives.

I think that since CA passed their version of the Dream Act....the Federal Government should take all the border fence, the national guard and the additional border patrol that they have on the CA/Mexico border.....and move it all to Arizona/Mexico border.

When I turned on my tv last night to watch the presidents comments I expected to hear some encourageing words about some progress that was being made from both sides but I guess that was way to much for ask for.Obama only spoke about 17mins and then the Speaker of the house spoke.

So why did Obama not sign on to the deal that was on the table last week? OReilly said the REP and Boehener had thier proposal on the table last week. Shortly after they took the vote.
So Obama stalls the process to?
To...place the country AAA rating into the tank. To.....cause markets around the world to destabilize. To...... cause another crisis that needs his attention before the election for votes?

For just one of those super tankers to be put on a weekly route from Italian or French maritime terminal to Iskenderum. Would be million of gallons of crude for your economy and would drive the price of gas down in Europe. Basically it would replace the crude being lost to the Libyan fighting.
But Obama sends those USS Navy two super tanker to England to be dismantled and scrapped. Each of those super tankers can make a weekly delivery to a marine terminal in Europe. That is is lot of crude.

Well... iraqi oil export is here and now not on top since oil speculation barons like Koch and his militant anti democracy folks are doing greedy attempts in order to force the price up for making money and for creating anger agianst president Obama.
