I don't see why you resign yourself to more debt when how the state works now is as inefficient and unproductive as it is. The state could and should be able to achieve so much more with the amount of money we throw at it already.

If you really wanted to help the people themselves, then I think you should be calling for the broadscale-sacking of the state bureaucracy, and redirecting resources towards start-up grants, conscripted public works and forming a front-focused state that actually helps people instead of just taxing them. They nationalize the Russian oil production an dindustry,yes? They arrested and convicted the major oil firms CEO for corruption charges and took control,yes?
What did Obama and company do? They took control of the auto industry by forcing out CEOs and buying up their stock with government loans.
Shut down the Gulf oil industry during the BP crisis. Took control of major banks in the stimulus buyouts.
What is the difference? It is the same model of government control. One by government force and legal actions....the other by government purchase and legal actions. The key here is "government legal actions".
Stalin's Russia was full of committees that executed 'government edicts' and made '5 year plans'....and then executed government "legal actions".
If living on 15K (the average per capitia in 2011 for a Russian) a pear is not major economic problem....

DOD uses a lot of money and a lot too much money and things can get organised differently and expences getting more under control for sure TT. Too much money is also waisted and parishing major time and tax payers of America demanding better control and regulation of the whole thing and America can save huge amounts of money that way. Unfortunately, taxing the rich alone will not fix this problem thus the arguement between the two sides. I'm one of those who would see this increase when/if it comes and I won't mind if they can balance the damn budget and start paying off this debt. We simply spend/waste way too much.

Hot_Single_Dude: DOD uses a lot of money and a lot too much money and things can get organised differently and expences getting more under control for sure TT. Too much money is also waisted and parishing major time and tax payers of America demanding better control and regulation of the whole thing and America can save huge amounts of money that way. Wars of today and specially in feauter are not that expensive to fight as today and troops on ground means bigger expences both in human life of course but also in dollers.

Thanks to president Obama,s brave leadership and also thanks to most republicans last minute reason and responsibility... America did not go Defualt as teapublicans wanted to happen.
Teapublicans have shown that they do not care much a bout America,s benefits and beside they are not able to handle complicated issues regarding the whole country and it,s obligations.
Some Democrats and Republicans both voted against this but still ideological differences and rooster fights a bout not a dang thing... in America or else where are some times more important than any thing else for some folks,and I find this fact sad some how I may admit.
May this horrible periode of dumb threats regarding forcing America in Default for the first time in history becoming a learning lesson for american voters so majorities placing their precious votes with care and beside not allowing them selves removed of voting process because of Republican VIP,s all over the country who are deifinately scared of the power of democracy and the power of participation in free and fair elections.
