What on earth is a "significate" other...?! As for pets, no problem - provided they don't share the same living quarters with me. I Can't stand hair and bacteria everywhere!

I think anyone who has ever seen me post probably has noticed i have pets, and there is no way on this earth i would part with them just to make someone else happy.
In my case it would be very cruel as my cat has been with me since a kitten, and hes well past the decade and his jr is nearly 4 now!
The answer is no, not a chance and i wouldn't ask anyone to get rid of a pet on my behalf either.

jojo1859: I think I would go with depending because if my dog were sickly and going to die anyway then i would put him down, or if my husband were allergic to my dog, it'd be hard but I think I'd still get rid of him.
No and I wouldn't ask him to get rid of his either. It's not like a ratty old chair it's a living being that becomes part of someone's life. Too many people treat their animals as disposable.

As much as I love my cat, if I was in love with someone with the possibility of making a life with him & for health reasons, we had to get rid of my cat, I'd consider it. But ONLY after THOROUGHLY screening each candidate. I wouldn't give her to just anybody!
