This is definatly one of the more entertaining threads I have read..
We are such a misled generation, I would hardly dare to put My honest opinion here.
One thing I will ask (again); How long will We continue to give up our rights in the name of freedom, How long will We continue to kill people in the name of peace??
Well, i am glad that you have been entertained. I agree with you saying that this generation is misled. It was so much more different even as late as 96 when i was just a confused teenager.

I'm a born and raised Southerner as well. My family hails from St. Augustine, Florida,Brunswick, Georgia, Mobile, Alabama as well as all over Texas. Varied yet all intertwined in uniqueness. Many happy memories of the relatives who shared of their life's experiences. I trace back to ancient kings of Ireland to watchmakers of Germany to the nobility of the British and Spanish. Educated at The University of Texas at Austin.
I've been inside Trinity College while on my travels and have seen the beauty of the Book of Kells. It truly is remarkable. From Dublin to Ballingeary to Cork City to Ulster to uncover my Irish roots, it truly is a breathtaking country and I highly recommend going should one ever get the chance.
Life ensued from a career in the military to becoming a veterinary technician to becoming an ordained non-denominational minister in the span of 20 years, I've lived virtually three lives in that time.
Yes, America is an infant by Europe's description, but in the span of 200 plus years, innovations and inventions put her at the forefront. Not too shabby. Yes, there are many problems, but not one single county on this great planet doesn't have their share of them. It's resolving the problems and working together that makes the world go' round that matters. Trade and commerce has existed among different cultures for thousands of years and will continue to do so long after we leave this plane. Capitalism can make one rich or broke, depending on one's will to succeed or desire to fail.
We can make what we want of ourselves or we can fail and be dependent upon others for our every basic need. Hurling words and insults at those with whom we disagree and becoming allies later. It's a unique world we inhabit. Embrace it and share it with all.

I do not claim to know a lot about foreign policies and things.
But I feel that Obama and Kevein Rudd (the Prime Minister of Australia) have a lot in common. They both came "into power" nearly at the same time. Austalians were sick of the wars and sick of the financial pressure. We all voted for the opposition. And what did we get, some lovey dovey clown that was never going to do anything. Kevin Rudd's biggest accomplishment was to say sorry...
The truth is, Keven Rudd doesn't rule this country, He's a kickbag. Someone to blame our troubles on. We haven't got enough money, What are You gonna do about it, Kevin? The hospitals aren't good enough, what are You doing about that Mr. Rudd? The lack of rights for people living in other countries, Our soldiers are dying, what are You doing, KRudd? The weather's getting awful hot! FFS, Kev??
We really have to open our eyes to who really has the power in this world. There is no such thing as democracy. We vote for one of two people who, neither of them, We would trust with our piggy banks, let alone our country. Where's the choice for the people there??
Paulababy20: Obviously im not an Obama fan..i dont care for socialism, high taxes, weak military and changing the fact that we are at war with terrorist killers. I just hope in 2010 and 2012 we put people back in Washington DC that know what the hell they are doing..and not on-the-job training!!!
BOTTOM LINE......OBAMA SUCKS JUST LIKE HIS SUCK-A-TEERS.

Big business, arms companies and banks is all the Bush Administration cared about. And there was me thinking the American Presidents job was to look after all the people...Not just the rich ones. Conrad73: You're gonna selfdestruct again,Kevie! Tell me the differences of the Irish RACE from the regular caucasian one!
You are just showing how stupid you really are old man! An ethnic group is a group of humans whose members identify with each other, through a common heritage that is real or assumed- sharing cultural characteristics. So that would mean that all Celts are the same Ethnic group? Not just Irish peope? Plenty of Celts in Scotland , Wales and France. So that is the end to your arguement!
The Irish race of today is popularly known as the Milesian Race, because the genuine Irish (Celtic) people were supposed to be descended from Milesius of Spain, whose sons, say the legendary accounts, invaded and possessed themselves of Ireland a thousand years before Christ.
redkayak: "Mommy, Mommy...Johnny hit me"........ Johnny: "He hit me first"
Grow up................
You keep jumping into posts that have nothing to do with you. I think its you who needs to grow up. You are clearly looking for an arguement you fool!!!!

WOW.....Alrighty then....I'm my own Race too....Oh boy, I can't wait to tell my children, they'll be so impressed....Hold up the presses, we're rewriting history now.....And in 2000 years my race will be discussed in awe......
The Irish race of today is popularly known as the Milesian Race, because the genuine Irish (Celtic) people were supposed to be descended from Milesius of Spain, whose sons, say the legendary accounts, invaded and possessed themselves of Ireland a thousand years before Christ.
The races that occupied the land when the so-called Milesians came, chiefly the Firbolg and the Tuatha De Danann, were certainly not exterminated by the conquering Milesians. Those two peoples formed the basis of the future population, which was dominated and guided, and had its characteristics moulded, by the far less numerous but more powerful Milesian aristocracy and soldiery. All three of these races, however, were different tribes of the great Celtic family, who, long ages before, had separated from the main stem, and in course of later centuries blended again into one tribe of Gaels - three derivatives of one stream, which, after winding their several ways across Europe from the East, in Ireland turbulently met, and after eddying, and surging tumultuously, finally blended in amity, and flowed onward in one great Gaelic stream.
The possession of the country was wrested from the Firbolgs, and they were forced into partial serfdom by the Tuatha De Danann (people of the goddess Dana), who arrived later. Totally unlike the uncultured Firbolgs, the Tuatha De Dannann were a capable and cultured, highly civilised people, so skilled in the crafts, if not the arts, that the Firbolgs named them necromancers, and in course of time both the Firbolgs and the later coming Milesians created a mythology around these.
In a famed battle at Southern Moytura (on the Mayo-Galway border) it was that the Tuatha De Danann met and overthrew the Firbolgs. The Firbolgs noted King, Eochaid was slain in this great battle, but the De Danan King, Nuada, had his hand cut off by a great warrior of the Firbolgs named Sreng. The battle raged for four days. So bravely had the Firbolgs fought, and so sorely exhausted the De Dannann, that the latter, to end the battle, gladly left to the Firbolgs, that quarter of the Island wherein they fought, the province now called Connaught. And the bloody contest was over.
The famous life and death struggle of two races is commemorated by a multitude of cairns and pillars which strew the great battle plain in Sligo - a plain which bears the name (in Irish) of "The plain of the Towers of the Fomorians". The Danann were now the undisputed masters of the land. So goes the honoured legend.
I believe everything in the Bible is fact......I believe every word in every newspaper or internet posting I read....I believe every book I've ever read was non fiction.....And I believe everything crucy boy writes.......
