Mimi, yes. Last time I was at Ikea I tried the beef. Possibly a Filet Mignon. Very tasty. I didn't see the beef listed on their website, so maybe it was something only in the US.
Jimi was an innovator and one can only imagine what new style or technique he would have brought forward.
Some trivia:
The Monkees had to do live concerts. Live concerts involved opening acts... one of those acts involved Jimi Hendrix, the guitarist who played screaming loud psychedelic music. One small problem... the audience was pre-teen and teenage girls! They were the ones screaming and it wasn't for Jimi. That didn't fit. Obviously, someone wasn't thinking clearly to sign Jimi for that gig.
Let's add to that #42,068. Maybe you've tried to bid on a foreclosure the very first day it gets listed only to be told another offer was accepted... that's because they have to list the property but insiders already have deals in place before the listing hits the internet.
If you were going to do that why not just play slide guitar. Wouldn't that have the same effect.
No. Slide guitar has a sound of it's own and (depending on the tuning) doesn't lend itself to playing different chords.
Frets control the tuning so each note is correct. Small differences in placement of the fingers between the frets doesn't affect the tuning. Fretless guitar is much harder as your fingers have to be in the exact location where a fret would be or you will be out of tune.
Etherna, I'm glad you said it. Had it been me, my statement would have been shot down. More often than not, blogs turn into open discussions... the very same thing forums were designed for.
The calls coming to me have similar but unique numbers all centered out of an exchange associated in Hollywood, Florida. I'm 100% sure they have the ability to spoof caller ID systems to show any number they choose, so no one really knows the number they are actually calling from.
I'll have to check my phone to see if there is a list of the numbers I'm blocking. It's got to be a few hundred by now.
The 11pm advisory has Hurricane Florence striking the coast of North Carolina Thursday evening. That means the storm would have time to intensify in the warm afternoon waters and make landfall at maximum intensity. Current sustained wind speed is 110mph.
I took a look at Satellite imagery and though the storm isn't as large as other hurricanes I've seen in the past, the eye is clearly formed. Sometimes smaller hurricanes pack a bigger punch and cause more devastation in a narrower path.
Jim, my dad was a people person and liked by many.
All this happened before I was born. I had heard a story he loaned money to a family member to open a business and didn't get repaid. That may have been a factor.
Carvel initially sold ice cream (only) from a truck. Soft serve machines manufactured then were to large to be portable. At that time everyone had ice cream in buckets. My dad had a luncheonette and did more than ice cream. So, I'm sure it wasn't competition. Besides, New York (even back then) had great opportunity. An example would be: when 3 pizza shops are always filled with customers, no one thinks of competition.
Fay, upper management sends out angry texts any time of the day or night.
Last Friday at 9pm I was told all the upper cabinets to a customer's order was wrong. They were to be special depth. I got online and checked contracts, signed drawings, the actual design drawing and no notes were made. Purchasing did catch that 5 of the cabinets were drawn special (but not marked) so they were correctly ordered special depth. Now it's a 'she said - he said' argument when the customer said she told the salesman ALL the cabinets were to be special depth. That's a few hours out of my day so far and I'll have to be connected to the reorder for cabinets to satisfy the customer. it doesn't matter what they signed for... the customer is always right.
Molly, I hear ya... you're right on target with the suggestions. thanks! The map has been on my 'do list' just as soon as I get through 20 other pressing issues. I do show the new person what mistakes of theirs I had to fix, so they do get feedback.
Like me in mango season, we give away what we cannot eat, I had a friend who did the same with avocados. Too bad she sold the house and moved to California.
Two different varieties available around here. Florida avocado with a smooth skin and soft meat. Easy to see when they are ready to eat and the smaller Hass with harder bumpy skin usually from California. Hass avocados are picked when are are rock hard and will change color from green to black in a few days. If you wait that long... it's too late.
I haven't been denied a refund if they go bad. Several grocery stores are within 2-3 miles from me. But, the whole idea is to only pick what you can use until the next trip out.
RE: When I don't think things through
Bean sprouts in the Asian markets are typically Mung. I've tried soybean sprouts a few times. Mung sprouts are softer.
