How are you Saskia? Glad to see you! For the first 24 years of my life I did not have God(though I believed He existed). Unlike you, I was not brought up in a religious upbringing, for I lived life the way I thought was right in my own eyes. However,I was empty and insecure. Then one day I decided to sincerely seek God,through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. From that experience I found the meaning, purpose, and direction that my life was intended to have.
Christ not religion, was what saved me from my sins, and gave me a new life, and has given me the hope and assurance that I will one day be with Him in heaven forever.
We love because He (God) first loved us. If anyone says,"I love God,"yet hates his brother,he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God,whom he has not seen. And He has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother(1 John 4:19-21).
Christ not religion is the solution to what the world needs now: "Love sweet love."

Hello sir. There is not a shred of evidence that the Roman empire, had anything to do with the canon of Scripture. And if I may add...The church is not the final arbiter for the criteria of what will be admitted as evidence. Only God can determine the criteria for the discovery of what is his Word. What is of God will have his "fingerprints" on it and only God is the determiner of what his fingerprints are like.
I am a Christian myself, and I respect those who choose to allow or not allow comments. But as for me...
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect(1 Peter 3:15).
That's my response, to allowing comments on my blog. God bless you!
The Gnostic gospels and the writings related to them are part of the New Testament pseudepigrapha, which means "false writing". They are so called because the author has used the name of some apostle rather than his own name, for example, the Gospel of Peter and the Acts of John. These were not written by the apostles, but by men in the second century(and later)pretending to use apostolic authority to advance their own teachings. Today we call this fraud and forgery. For the people who advance these writings as legitimate Christian tradition, this poses a problem, because they think that much of the New Testament was written in the same way. The books teach the doctrines of the two earliest heresies, both of which denied the reality of the incarnation. They said that Jesus was really only a spirit that looked like a man,so His resurrection was just a return to spiritual form. They claim to provide information about Jesus childhood, but the stories they record are highly unlikely and are not from eye witnesses. No one ever accepted these as Scripture in any sense, except the heretical factions which created them. They are not a legitimate part of the Christian tradition, but a record of the myths and heresies which arose outside of the mainstream of Christianity.
Indeed Mia. In fact, there is no more new revelation, for the canon is closed. Jesus is God's full and final revelation to mankind(Hebrews 1). God bless!
Indeed, for God created everything good(our brain, minds, body and soul). But man with his freedom can misuse that good for evil purposes. However,God has a good purpose in allowing evil. For by permitting evil, He can defeat evil,so that He can bring about a greater good.
Thanks for sharing your perspective, in regards to happiness. Eliminating the causes of one's stress can certainly help make life alot easier, when focusing on your goals.
In regards,to the fear of someone coming into your life...It's all about having good boundaries, when it comes to guarding your heart. Having well developed boundaries means, that you can keep the good in and keep the bad out.
In the midst of all the confusion and negativity, regarding this topic,it's nice to hear a voice of reason. Rather than curse the darkness, you shed a positive light in how we should humbly respond to people.
Jesus' Prognosis of and Prescription for Humanity
Nice to see you Nessa! As to your question: No. I am a sinner, who has repented of my sin and received Christ as my personal Savior.
Unless you realize your a sinner, you will not realize your need for a Savior.
For only Jesus lived the perfect life which could never live and offers us His perfection in exchange for our sin, as an absolutely free gift.
Have a beautiful! God bless you richly!
