The Quran teaches that Jesus was a prophet of God,but not the Son of God. However, the Bible teaches that Jesus is the Son of God. Huge difference in regards, to Jesus identity(who He is).
For me,I choose to believe in the Jesus of the Bible, for God's Word is mirculously confirmed by acts of God, called miracles, for a miracle is an act of God to confirm a message from God, to the people of God,through a man of God. The Bible is divinely confirmed. This can be said of no other book in the world. And there is more evidence for the historical reliabilty of the New Testament, than for any other book in the ancient history.
The difference matters to those who who seek the truth, in regards to Jesus Christ. For Jesus claimed to be the Son of God and proved it, by fulfilling prophecies hundreds of years in advance, living a sinless and miraculous life and his resurrection from the dead.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son(John 3:16-18).
God loves us so much, that he sent his Son to die for our sins, so that we can receive forgiveness and eternal life as a free gift!
It's the difference between belief in and belief that. The devil believes "that" God exists, but he doesn't believe "in" him.
If evidence could force someone to believe in God,then the devil would have to be a believer! Cause,if there's anyone in the universe who knows for sure God exists it's the devil, for he was God's first created angel.
He is absolutely sure thar God exists, but he doesn't believe in Him.
Belief that,is a matter of proof or evidence.
Belief in,is a matter of the will or the subjective.
The mind can know that God exists(reason & evidence),but the heart, can refuse to believe in Him(free will).
Both Christians and Muslims agree that Jesus performed miracles, for your blog also seems to I indicate that,as well. However, there are many reasons for rejecting the alleged miracles of Muhammad.
First, none of them are recorded in the Quran. In fact, they are,in general, contrary to the whole spirit of the Muhammad of the Quran, who repeatedly refused to do miracles for unbelievers who challenged him(Suras 3:181-84; 4:153; 6:8-9).
Secondly, these alleged miracles follow the same pattern of legendary embellishment as the apocryphal miracles of Christ from a century or two after his death. They lack factuality and simplicity of contemporary eyewitness accounts.
Hello sir,how are you? By the way,Jesus turning water into wine is found in John 2:1-11,not John 9:1-11. Lol.
It is true that the Quran admits that Jesus performed miracles. However, what they don't admit is that Jesus is the Son of God,though the Bible says that, Jesus claimed to be the Son of God and proved it through miracles,to confirm who he was(John 20:30).
However, the Quran does not give any miraculous confirmation for it's claims, nor does it give any divine confirmation that Mohammed was a prophet of God.
There's the difference. The Bible is miraculously confirmed to be the Word of God,while the Quran has no such confirmation,to support it's truth claims.
He(Jesus) is the image of the invisible God,the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisiable, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities;all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together(Colossians 1:15-17).
Albert Einstein said,"The harmony of natural law...reveals intelligence of such superiority that, compared with it,all the systemmatic thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignicant reflection(Einstein 40).
Even Nobel prize winner Steven Weinberg,an atheist ,went so far as to say that "It seems to me that if the word 'God' is to be of any use,it should be taken to mean an interested God,a creator and lawgiver who established not only the laws of nature and the universe but also standards of good and evil, some personality that is concerned with our actions, something in short that is appropriate for us to worship"(Weinberg,244).
There was a co worker at my job that I knew, who wanted to stop smoking. I remember giving him the idea to take the money he used to purchase cigarettes, and deposit it into a savings account on a weekly bases. Sort of a motivation that could reward him in more ways than one. He never took the advice, and is still is a smoker, but imagine how much money he could saved within one year? I myself, never smoked, and have no plans too.Lol.
Have a Happy New Year,my friend! May God richly bless you, with health, happiness, and peace!
I will be going with my church group to see the fireworks. Then from there go bowling. It's my prayer, that God would grant you the desires of your heart, in helping you find that special someone.
Jesus said...I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned;he has crossed over from death to life(John 5:24).
It's not that you might have or could have, but you have(present tense)eternal life.
An Intelligent Cause of the Universe(God)
