"Bird-Watcher Wrongfully Accused in Central Park Lands a Nat Geo TV Show About Birding" By Good News Network -May 29, 2022
The Black man who was wrongly accused by a White woman in New York City while he was birdwatching is set to star in a new National Geographic TV series—and he intends to inspire viewers with his lifelong hobby.
Christian Cooper, the lifelong bird-watcher, has been spying crows, cardinals and catbirds since he was ten.
The channel announced this week that the 59-year-old will host a new nature series called Extraordinary Birder.
“Christian Cooper takes us into the wild, wonderful and unpredictable world of birds.”
“Whether braving stormy seas in Alaska for puffins, trekking into rainforests in Puerto Rico for parrots, or scaling a bridge in Manhattan for a peregrine falcon, he does whatever it takes to learn about these extraordinary feathered creatures and show us the remarkable world in the sky above.”
Hi G, you're one of the fortunate ones. So many people here (who got their shot(s)) had fatal or near fatal effects, but even those who got their shots only did so for fear of losing their jobs and their children being denied schooling, NOT the fear of Covid.
"It may have been because you're visible on the blogs." Nope...don't think so because there are other persons "visible on the blogs" but don't have that problem.
Well I did...and also noticed that some of the other settings (notifications), may not be working (for me). For example, I am only notified for Email, but not for responses to my posts on Blogs, Forums, etc.
I always think that a faceless man writing to a woman who has put up her photo is not being fair. It is not an equal playing field.
Which begs another question Didi7. If I did ask a man to bed, and he reported me , would I bel kicked off the site. Men definitely are not.GG my girl, you are so right! It seems to me to be an un-equal playing field on here....
"I think those who embrace their age and have a sense of wonder at life, who are simple and keep life uncomplicated seem to have an inner beauty shining out, you don't notice the wrinkles or the walking stick,..."
I agree with you, GG...some people just ARE, naturally.
For those who don't have a partner to benefit from the "nurture" nature, they can still be influenced by others - close friends, relatives, work colleagues - who care for them. I know that "where ignorance is bliss, t'is folly to be wise", so perhaps that's the reason for their being happy/not seeing any need to change. I can respect that, but getting into a relationship with another person may call for some 'adjustments' in order to cater for the other person (if you're kind and respectful of his/her needs).
Well Merlot, if you feel the need to pay every time you take a woman out, then go right ahead. But don't deny her the fun if she wants to treat you to a meal/ event/etc sometimes
I agree that women should offer to pay for/treat their date to an outing/meal/etc, sometimes. However, I don't think that they should offer to split the bill; taking turns inviting each other out, and paying for the 'outing' is how to express equality in an appropriate way.
The Birdwatcher from 2020....
