Jill, thanks much. I'm glad that some do. I prefer 'positivity', and there's more than enough 'negativity' on here to wade through each day. So when I find it, or think it, I'll post the positives.
If that was true Kal, then I'd have to agree with you, as that would mean that those of us who don't die young aren't any good. But, thankfully, it's not true.
So...which is it that concerns you more - remaining 18 or maintaining a svelte body? "Physical decline" could happen to anyone these days, regardless of age, and "knowledge" does not have the same value as "wisdom".
Now tell me that she isn't in a class by herself. I have seen artists who've used their feet, I've seen one who doesn't have hands so he uses his wrists to hold the brush, and I've even seen one who used his mouth, but I think that her level of ambidextrous ability and artistic skill is truly AWESOME!
When I was much younger, fighting was much easier. But then I guess that's the same for most, if not all, of us. As I aged, and experienced several trials and stresses, I got tired having to fight all the time. Slowly, I gave in more and more to what LIFE sent my way, and tried to do the best that I could with it. My fighting spirit is on hiatus until there's something that I feel I REALLY need to fight for, and even now my fighting strategy is somewhat changed.
Kal, I feel the same. I just don't think I'd have the appetite. Maybe the food acts as a distraction, so that their focus wouldn't totally be on their soon-to-happen demise.
24 languages...where did they find the time? Mastering the English Standard was already a task (for many, myself included), but 23 other languages too. WOW. to that/those person(s).
What an eye-opener! Your perspective is quite enlightening; you've actually itemized the "baggage" that we refer to, and it may not even be a complete list.
You may be right about the 'hook-up culture', but even with all the ugliness many of us are able to ignore/look past and even forgive, because of LOVE. It is written that "love can cover a multitude of sins".
What fun! South West airlines' Hawaii in-flight surprise.:-)
