Nothing causes undue suffering like expectation. Do what you feel inspired to do and let the rest go. Any "act of kindness" done out of guilt or obligation is toxic anyway.

i agree with you both. Expectation of others is not sane! They can never live up to them...heck, we don't even live up to expectations we have of ourselves!

Hi John! Emotionality is the cause of all suffering. When I wrote drama, drama, drama, it was in reference to the comment I left on your "missing her" blog. It is just my attempt, without being overly harsh, to perhaps get your mind pondering... your mind. All of these emotions are created by thoughts that you hook into and attach a story to. It is helpful to realize that you are the master of your mind, not the other way around. My suggestion would be to ask yourself "what one thing can I turn my attention to that would give me some relief?". I'm sure you have much to appreciate in your life. You are a good person.

Sanfranguy! Where you been? Out there having a "real" life? I know it's a shocker, but I agree with you on this one. Women want to be treated like equals not put on a pedestal. Too much pressure and the bruising must hurt like hell when one gets knocked off one of those things.

Women just want men to be present, fully attentive when needed. Don't need daddy, don't need to be fixed, don't need to be possessed. Just here now. If a man can't be now here, he can be nowhere, as far as I'm concerned.

I agree with Lovestodance. If you are writing a blog about it, it must be getting on your nerves a bit. If giving begins to make you feel resentful, then you are not doing anyone any favors, especially yourself. Sometimes charity turns into enabling. I have been there, done that so many times. Think I'm finally starting to learn

Hi Shambellina! The numbness will subside and you will be ready for heart beating exhilaration again... when the time is right. If you are able to feel it once, you have it in you to feel it again, with added wisdom to discern better the one to feel exhilarated with.

What I think of the Bible is completely separate from my spiritual life. The two are mutually exclusive. But thanks for your concern.
