Smoking is another easily taxed product, if the government really wanted to end smoking, they would introduce incentives to those addicted, but the amount of tax gained far outweighs the health problems caused.
Kenya is a beautiful country, and Kenyans are lovely people, go take a look, work is not so easy to find mind you and the streets not so safe any more, but I believe, given the right circumstances, you could have a lovely life there.
The problem as I see it is that if a company is creating above average pollution, they need to spend money to reduce that pollution, therefore by taxing them more, it will reduce the cash flow to pay for pollution reduction. What should be done is a tax incentive, so if money is used to reduce their carbon footprint then they get a tax reduction. Which is why they want to create a tax, so they can collect more money rather than reduce pollution.
And therein lies the problem Ccincy, bad news sells, good news never did, so all we get to hear is all the bad thing that happen around the world but never the good or the better changes that are taking place everywhere. Sad really
What freedoms do you have that the Chinese don't? They can and do criticise their government, just as you can, if they break laws they are imprisoned just as in your country. Believe me, the communism you understand is not here in China. Sure they have a one party policy, but vote for the leader. they have strict laws against stating a competing party yes, but with good reason, China has the second largest population in the world, to have a 2 or 3 party system would cause massive problems as there would never be a clear majority, and without that, they (The government) could never implement the growth and financial systems, that have rescued China and created the rapid development the world is now starting to see
44 views and 6 votes, 5 of which are incorrect, just as I imagined, apathy and ill informed. No offence to those who actually posted.
So easy to criticise China, when all you have to go on are biased and untrue "Fats", when there is a chance to knock China, they pile in posting uninformed and imaginary "REDS UNDER THE BEDS" crap, when it's a balanced thread, well the voting speaks for itself..............
Communist China is dead, buried. This Government is calling itself the " Birth of Socialism" for China. Whilst I would be the first to say not everything is right with Chinese politics, there is no doubt that there is a lot going for it. Within 5-10 years it will be the biggest superpower, usurping the great USA, who will probably be in third spot behind India. Maybe then world peace will have a real chance at success
I admire your attitude, and I am sure that for many, they think as you do, but I guess for me, I just believe that my commitment to someone is total, and no legal document would make any difference to the way I believe or behave. Also for me, there is no such thing as "Living in sin" as I see nothing sinful in showing my love and devotion to someone I live with, if we were not in love with each other I would not be living with them in the first place.Although if I followed a religion maybe I would think differently.
What a great idea, a 5 year contract, so after 4.5 years of a deep and loving relationship, you end up breaking up due to the stress created by wondering if your “Spouse” will be as keen to renew as you!!! If you can’t manage to build a loving relationship with commitment and the desire to make it work using communication and compromise, then don’t get married and don’t live with someone only to dash their hopes and dreams. For me, I believe totally in commitment, I don’t need a piece of paper, for 5 years or eternity, all I need is someone who views a relationship the same way as me, that it lasts to infinity and back.
Yes I wondered that, but then thought maybe it was some special Indian spice Agree it sounds good, so will try tonight as getting somewhat jaded regarding rice or noodles everyday.
MAIDA Maida flour is a variety of flour used to make Indian breads such as paratha and naan. It is also used in Central Asian and Southeast Asian cuisine. Maida is a refined product of wheat. It is extracted from the inner white portion of the wheat after the outer brownish layer is removed. After the flour is ground in a flour mill (Chakki), it is passed through a fine mesh (600 mesh per square inch) to obtain maida. (Wiki)
Words of Affirmation 4 13% Quality Time 10 33% Receiving Gifts 1 3% Acts of Service 5 17% Physical Touch 10 33%
Interesting concept Love the idea I am bilingual
Actually fairly close to reality for me, gifts are unimportant to me, whereas physical touch is extremely important as is spending actual time together.
In my experience, very few will actually move. Since moving to China I have met and or chatted with many women, both living here and in other countries, but as soon as we start to get slightly serious, it always ends up the same, they want me to move to their hometown. Yet I have always said right at the beginning that I have a long contract and cannot nor will not move. Why thy cannot be truthful from the beginning beats me
Many years ago, I was arrested and locked up for the night in Banff, BC. After getting stopped at 2AM, showing off to prospective girl-friend, doing doughnuts and racing starts in a Firebird, down the main street, taught me a lesson and was never repeated.
If, like me, you like the odd fry up, ie typical English breakfast on a sunday morning, just make sure you use Olive oil, no other oil, the Mediterranean diet is probably the best in the world to reduce cholesterol, it was when I was living in Italy that I had my greatest success with diet control.
Another thing to try is eat some cheese when drinking the wine, the two flavours truly compliment each other and make it an amazing experience. English Cheddar is best
I am type 2 diabetic and had high cholesterol, around 7-8, since I started the one glass a night, my blood level has remain constant and my cholesterol dropped to 4, for nearly two years now I use no medication whatsoever, and control the diabetics completely through diet. Oh I also lost 2.5 stone, as the extra weight was also a bad factor for the diabetics and cholesterol., I have remained at my optimum weight for 3 years now since being diagnosed with the type 2.
This is true, Red wine helps many bodily functions, in small quantities of course
A good wine to try would be a soft Burgundy, start with a medium dry, and then progress to the fully dry version, an old trick to reduce the "perceived" bitterness is to stir the wine with metal knife or fork, the iron causes a chemical reaction which can soften the taste
I have a glass of red every night, same as my father has done for as long as I remember, his 94th birthday is next month, so my philosophy is, that it's the wine that keeps him healthy
So have any dates been agreed yet? I have 10 days hols before flying to the UK for a couple of weeks, So available from 29th June to 8th July or again towards end of July, I was looking at taking a break in Bali, but Jakarta would be just as good. Post dates and location if possible
The internet, is without doubt, one of the greatest of mans inventions, it has opened up avenues in all aspects of life that 50 years ago would have been but a pipe dream, from medical research to mapping the cosmos, from dating to home education, almost all with a huge positive effect on the world in general. However, just like the wheel, when put into the wrong hands with malicious thoughts and few morals, it can create total mayhem, destruction and even death. We as humans, have a wonderful tool at our disposal, but as with all tools, they come with responsibility and common sense. Sadly, it will not be long before the WWW is regulated and will end up useful and beneficial to us as a KFC dinner!!
I would politely suggest, that your missing date has read some of your posts, which continually run with the above type of attitude and made a "Quick exit", your posts are negative, always, yet you fail to see it. You verbally castigate those who, though their own genuine kindness and consideration, try to point you back on the right path. To accuse Bodecia of bullying is, with all due respect, completely unfounded, she made sensible and well thought out advice, whether you accept it is your prerogative, someone being bullied does not have that luxury of choice. Of course you won’t accept advice, because you refuse to admit that maybe, some on this forum, actually say the truth, and often, the truth hurts. I wish you well with your search, perfection will be a long time coming
Why does it matter what gender? Does it alter the significance or importance of the actual piece of writing? It’s the contents, how the author used the best of the language in which it is written, how the article held its audience, are the characters believable and is the storyline written in such as way that you absolutely must finish it before you do something else; As an avid reader of books of any genre, I do not believe I have ever thought, this or that, must have been written by a man, or by a woman. Nor do I think I actually care, it is with good reason that so many excellent authors write behind a false name.
Some of the ignorance surrounding Gaza is mind boggling, takes so little time to actually find the truth. What Egypt has done will be the start of the end, and it won't be peace!!

Agreed.Smoking is another easily taxed product, if the government really wanted to end smoking, they would introduce incentives to those addicted, but the amount of tax gained far outweighs the health problems caused.
