and right after that comes talk or just the word marriage...and then after that, sometimes, the ol'how do you feel 'bout kids..' routine; Love, marriage and maibe kids...on a date just for a coffee !?? No wonder so many men suddenly become aloof or just vanish....and the woman then keeps right on doing the same with other men...she never learns or puts 2 and 2 together; I have seen this so many times , I know why they run just from hearing about it from people I've known and all the complaining about it; women should be able to read their dates better....and wait until they get to know each other after several dates...minimum.... I think...not a half hour....
People are Not Psychic....we never know in advance how things will be taken not for sure in some cases; if we can guess that it may go wrong, then the best thing to do is not to say or do anything...this, most often does not work, especially bantering back and forth...seems some faux pas(aka, fox-passes) have inadvertenly been unleashed...whoa! Heel! Heel! We should , after our peaks, take it all with the ol proverbial salt, and guzzle several Pina Coladas and then all is cool again...:)

Wow, Lionhearted...I'm...I'm shocked and appaled that you actually dated a man 10 whole years older than yourself...why he was old enough to be your ...what? Father...grandfather...amazing 10 years older...deeply disturbing; have you, can you ever recover from this infamy and to think, he wasn't arrested for some sort of contribution to your delinquency of morale turpitude! Oh what is this world racing towards...just think of what everyone would have said if he had been 15 years older or God forbid even older....robbing the cradle or the coffin...it boggles the mind...there must be Laws! If I really ever had a choice I'd agree with Lionhearted, but as I have no real choice it's somewhat academic; what I really dislike about it is what Lake said about the quiet; it becomes as silent as a grave with no one to ever talk with or ever do anything with someone, especially on those times when you're in a good jubilent mood and all you have is utter silence around you but I do know that in the long run it is better than having someonearound that you would rather not. I learned that a long time ago when I settled for anyone is better than no one way. I have watched people and their silly and vain games, and also found out that I despise the games and therefore will not play them. Hell with them.In compromising with the position of silence and anyone is better than no one, this is as far as I can go; it is hard to change after a lifetime of it or losing games that I'm no good at.:)
To contribute my 2 cents worth, I have found all the replies to this thread, the best ever in a long time. It is also the best in allowing everyone to clearly and dispassionatly express their views and opinions on a highly important issue and none got bashed!! Amazing; wish all forum posts were as civilized and well expressed! Looks of others or of ourselves to others as we may think they see us as opposed as to how they do always needs some re-focusing and is very important to all of us; we cannot escape being in the eye of the beholder nor in our own mindsthis feedback in the forum is excellent in that there is so much that is similar but still unique to each; it has certainly given myself a lot to think over and take another look at...:)

One of the easiest ways to start "fights", arguments, etc. on here is for some twit to start asking in general terms at first who has been casting aspersions around...which, of course, everyone denies, as no one wants any; it's like cooties....ewwwwww! :)) don't get contaminated, stay away from aspersions............
well, one way that I tried when I was a lot younger was to go around in a loincloth...it didn't work, so then I got a spear...still didn't work, changed the spear for a Gold and Platnum Visa card and a Gold American Express card....WOW!the Broads!....as is said, always carry your American Express.... always better than Mexican Express..:)
There is an old Bob Dylan song from the 60's about hoe everyone has God on their side...yeah, right....the only "GOD" that exists for the US is Gold, Oil, Drugs, as one former "CIA director of the western hemisphere" once told me...how right he was... @shinyknight: I have all his books plus several dozen others that I've been collecting since I was a kid and read about all the anomalies found by arheologists around the world, especially in South America that were identifird as Sumerian-Babylonian artifacts and language symbols, back in the 50's! Sitchin's works have been long overduewhile he may not be the first, his are the best plus he has one qualification none of the previous historians had...he is a language expert in all the ancient near Eastern languages in less than a dozen alive today.
